Wanted a 5 panel glass inserts solid wood front door. Lots of 4 panes out there (box stores) but had difficulty finding 5 pane. I ordered unfinished 5 pane door from Doors 4 Home with rain glass (several options). Door came on time and it is beautiful. I get LOTS of compliments on our front door. I did have to install the lockset and hinges and stained the door in the color I wanted but knew that when I ordered the door. Gave me more options that way. I had no problem with communication or shipping from this company. Can't comment about other customers issues. For me, it was a great product and I had no issues with the company. read more

I was so excited to find doors4homes online. I loved the modern look of the doors and there were so many choices. I called a few times to ask questions since this was my first time purchasing a door. I talked to the same guy every time I called (can't remember his name) he answered my questions but wasn't particularly friendly. When I was ready I called and placed my order with him. I paid over the phone and then was emailed a form to sign. He told me it would take around 6 weeks. I never received a confirmation email so after 10 days I called to follow up and he said they e-mailed me a copy of my confirmation and schedule. I checked my inbox & junk but there were no e-mails. I actually never received any e-mails from them other then to sign the contact. During the call he told me the door was ready but he needed to confirm when I could pick it up. He didn't call me back, so after a few more days I called again and he transferred me to Jeffery (Shipping Manager) who also said it looked ready but still needed to confirm with the manufacture. He didn't called me back when he said he would so I called again the following day and he gave me the number of the manufacture so I could contact them directly and figure out when it would be ready. The whole process was really annoying since we were tying to schedule a person to install it and I was getting the run around. Finally I got confirmation from the manufacture that it was ready and we could pick it up the following Friday (1 week later then I was told it was ready). I told her we would come Monday and she confirmed their hours were 7am-11am. My husband rented a truck and drove to the location at 7:30am and the shipping manager wasn't there and they said they couldn't help him for a few hours. We already had someone at our house replacing the wood around the door so it was beyond frustrating. I called Door4homes and they confirmed that the shipping manager wouldn't be there until later. I lost it, and let them know that I felt this was the worst customer service I had ever received and at no point did he apologize for the way it was handled. He called the owner of the manufacture and the owner got in touch with me after my husband was almost home. He was very nice and said he would meet him at the warehouse to figure it out. My husband went back and picked up the door. That was the first time we realized that the door came unfinished. I re-looked at the website and the name of the door was Contemporary Mahogany... which is finished a reddish brown in the image. When I expanded the details section below I realized it comes unfinished. I was mind blown. Why on your website would you show the door finished in a color that matches the name. Turns out the manufacturer doesn't do finishing but gave us a contact who does. We couldn't get the door installed that day because now we had to find someone to finish it and we still had to pay our contractor for his time. To recap: -There was no communication from doors4homes in the form of a confirmation email or when it would be ready -I was told someone would call me back 3 times and no one did. -I was given inaccurate information about how long it would take to finish the door. (The door was -ready 3+ weeks earlier then it was suppose to be.) -Doors4homes connected me directly with the manufacturer to avoid responsibility and facilitating the final steps of the order -Doors4homes never apologized for the terrible customer service -The door was unfinished and this information was not clearly communicated on the website and wasn't clear for a new buyer To me there is no excuse for this level of terrible customer service. read more

We ordered doors for our new home in 2019. The doors were received by our builder and installed without any problems. After a year, the paint started peeling on the doors. Under warranty, they send a new set of doors. The doors did not fit. They told us to keep those doors, and then they sent us another set of doors. So we had to pay to dispose of those doors and they are huge and heavy! Those doors were made incorrectly also. They sent our builder information on how to correct the part on the door. My builder did this at no charge. Doors4Home said they would send him a $150 gift card, but never did. He did not get compensated at all for this work. These are double doors, and each one takes two men to lift and carry. After a year with the second set of doors installed the paint started peeling on those doors. We submitted a warranty claim. the manufacture of the doors stop producing these and asked us to choose from what they currently sell. My wife selected new doors and submitted it two months ago. There has been a conflict between the manufacture of the doors (Glass Craft) about who should handle the warranty claim and the company that sells the doors being Doors4Home. The communication with Doors4Home has been very, very slow! The representative who is handling our case rarely answers or returns phone calls. The same goes with emails. This lack of responsiveness and customer service is why I am giving them this rating and review. It has been three months since we submitted our claim on the second set of doors, and we still don't have a clue as to win our doors will be replaced, or with what. I would not recommend Doors4Home to buy from and I would not recommend Glass Craft Doors based of the paint quality of our doors. read more

I had a truly memorable experience at Doors4Home. Very outstanding customer service. I won't get into the detail of the occurrence, but in a nutshell, I ended up with a product that I wasn't expecting and wasn't happy with. I contacted the company, and once we determined what happened, I replied and told them how disappointed and unhappy I was. But I wasn't expecting to hear back. Very quickly the owner called me personally. We discussed what happened, and, honestly, he could have dismissed me with a technicality and left me unhappy with my product. Instead, he very kindly gave me two options. One of which brings my disappointment to full resolution and leaves me very happy. You told me it wasn't your fault, it was your manufacturer's fault and you then asked the manufacturer to pay a credit - which they declined. I have read your reviews, have you? I was in the market for a new front door, but I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted and I didn't know what would work and look good for my style of home. We bought two sets of pre-hung doors from these guys which were very expensive. Doors were delivered on time and the materials and construction are generally very nice. Both doors had some chips and scrapes and one set (exterior doors) did not come with the weather stripping or even clearance to add weather stripping. I contacted Doors4Home to see if they could help with this and they have been very non-responsive. I've been blamed for the damage and shipping has been blamed for the damage. I finally got a curt response that they would have someone from the manufacturer check out the doors for us. that was nearly two weeks ago and no further communication. So, generally pretty nice doors, but if you're looking for a company who supports what they sell, maybe keep looking. read more

If this review was based solely on the doors, it'd be 5 stars. However, there were some customer service snafus along the way. Doors4Home.com was the only place I could find 3' wide french doors. I had my builder order them for me and Doors4Home was able to customize sidelights to meet my sizing requirements. Unfortunately during the ordering process, my builder ordered the doors early December, but the order didn't go through until right before the holidays. This made the wait time weeks longer than expected and delayed my home renovation significantly since we needed the doors to do a pre-drywall inspection. Also, when he placed the order Doors4home processed the transaction FOUR times. So he had 4 temporary charges on his account for thousands of dollars. Sure, it'd go away eventually, but it would put a hold on other transactions until it did. Annoying. Other than those two issues, the doors delivered in perfect order and now that they're installed they look fantastic. read more

Ordered door in May 2020. Arrived in July 2020. promised in 4 weeks and arrived in 9 weeks and very late for my renovation. unfortunately, that was the least of problems. Hinges messed up double doors don't close, staining looked like 4th grader. They agreed to replace, then 6 more weeks of calling them they rescinded and stopped communication. I purchased two sets of exterior Mahogany French doors. Within 18 months 3 of four had condensation between the panes. But this is only the tip of the iceberg. The finish is peeling off, the doors are cracked and the wood panels are separating. The mahogany isn't very dense and improperly cured - these doors are literally made in China and the quality shows. I have left reviews at multiple sites including Houzz only to have them disappear. If the reviews seem too good to be true well - caveat emptor Be careful if you purchase exterior doors from these guys - 1 year warranty is just enough for the doors to hold together. Shop elsewhere, spend a little more and you won't have to buy another set in three years. I am still waiting for the class action lawsuit maybe that will cause them a fraction of the grief that I have experienced. read more

One of the most expensive mistakes I have made. Purchased TWO SETS OF EXTERIOR FRENCH doors from D4H, doors arrived with hairline cracks, was told not to worry that it was not structural, 6 months later doors are completely cracked to the point I have had to install 4 inch screws to hold them together. Veneer was installed over a rotted slab and veneer popped of in various occasions forcing me to have to paint. In the meanwhile D4H did not warranty doors, when requested they told me no longer dealt with the manufacturer and that I was on my own in simple terms. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! read more
