If I could give a negative on this review I would. This place sold me a unfished door with nicks and dirt on on it. If I had to do it over again I would have refused the door and canceled the door. I had a contractor come in to paint the door. The contractor said the door was old and looked like they got If from the flea market. The contractor also said he was suprised that they sold me the door when I told him where I got it from. Also said that he was suprised the person installing the door didn't offer to paint it himself and he was sorry about what happen. The contractor said he felt that they took advantage of me due to my lack of knowledge about doors. I agree I have no idea about doors. The door I bought is an oversized door, but even then the contractor told me that the door should been in better condition and they also should have asked if I wanted it paint. He also said I would have done better going to home depot. Save your money stay away from this place they take advantage of people. read more

I purchased interior doors from them and they had the old doors to measure and we added a bit of lenght from the old doors because there used to be thick carpet in the house. These were the original doors from 1949. They called my ex husband several times with questions which he answered. Whoever measured them did a bad job and the doors do not fit. The also only communicated with my ex husband because he went with my dauther to the showroom because I had to work. They did not communicate with me even after I went back with my dauther to approve the doors. Because the measurements are off my ex had to go buy a tool to sand down the doors so they would fit. Oh and if we would have had Doors Plus install them they said they charge $400 per door. That is absolutely insane. I felt like I had no other choice but to go with them because my doors are not standard due to it being an old house. But I definately thought they would know how to measure doors to fit. If the old doors fit, the new ones should have also. My bedroom door was almost 2" too tall. Front door needs to be shaved down too! I am not impressed and will not go back to them. They also seem to favor men over women. Also they charged $350 and some change for cutting the doors which were completely wrong! Definitely need a refund on that since my ex husband had to go buy the tool to fix what they should have had correct from the get go. read more

When I entered the Store Front to Doors Plus in Lodi, I had the distinct impression that this store did not want me in there... for whatever reason. I had been shopping for Exterior French Doors to replace a Sliding Door that was close to fifty years in age. I was convinced by a neighbor to not just shop at the Home Improvement Superstores like Home Depot and Lowe's... but to shop at more knowledgeable places that specialized in these type of installations... like Doors Plus (I thought). To preface the rest of this review... Doors Plus is a company that only sells and / or constructs Pre-Hung Doors... and Windows. This company does not install any of their products. You, as a Home-Owner, will have to find a Contractor / Handyman to install Doors Plus products. They specialize in Andersen products. After perusing their smallish 15'x15' show area... I got the attention of the person behind the counter. I told him that my Sliding Patio door was giving out, and I was looking for a French Door replacement. My priorities, I told him, were Price and Insulation from the Weather. After a few questions... he interjected... "You know... we don't install anything we sell. You're going to find your own Contractor...". OK.... "But you can recommend some Contractors, can't you?"... Sure. Once I told the Salesman that I had also been shopping at Lowe's for French Doors, the mood of our conversation changed abruptly. He had to interject... "You know... we can't compete with places like Lowe's on price...". What could I say? OK... (I guess). I guess I shouldn't have mentioned that I ever did comparison shopping... Note to Doors Plus management... If you are going to have a Store Front and a Show Room where you get walk-in customers, be prepared to deal with not just Building Contractors, Handy-men, Construction Workers and the like. As a home owner I have been going to Doors Plus since the 1990s. I used them to replace doors on my first older home and then again years later to repair/replace some damaged doors (teenagers). Always recommended them to friends when they needed a door replaced. They have always helped me with selections, and loading and unloading the old and new doors. More recently my wife and I became empty nesters and moved to a smaller, older home that had not been upgrade since it was built in the 60s. Again, I went to Doors Plus for new doors. They helped us select new interior doors and disposed of my old ones. I bought three exterior doors as well. This required me to inquire more into the size, frame, and hardware. Jason Meyers was extremely helpful and recommended Greg to install them. Greg came out and took accurate measurements. When the door arrived. Greg picked them up from Doors Plus and they worked together to make sure the doors had the proper hardware and trim. Greg did a great job with the installation, disposed of my old doors through Doors Plus, and returned unused trim, which was deducted from my bill. I paid Greg after a walk through and paid Doors Plus after the bill adjustment. I can't say enough, this was one of my better remodeling experiences. Both parties were helpful and professional, and made this a smooth project through completion. They do cost a little more than Home Depot but a better product and a better selection. They work with a lot of contractors so just be a little patient if you are a resident doing a diy project like me. Bill W. read more

They hooked me up with an installer who did an awesome job installing all new interior doors in my home. I would highly recommend doing business here. And btw, I thought the prices were great too. I spent a small fortune ($2000+) on a custom door from Doors Plus and I am very disappointed in the craftsmanship. The glue that was used in putting the glass on the wood door was exposed all around the door. The bottom of the door wasn't even cut straight! What is this place?! I do not recommend this place to anyone. If you decide to waste your money here, I recommend that you thoroughly inspect their work before paying for the door. read more

So glad I looked at the reviews! I thought our experience was unique. Turns out the little kid that works here is just rude to everyone, not just my father. My dad wants to replace his Anderson door with another Anderson door. It lasted forever so he likes the brand. This little twerp rudely tells him his door is not an Anderson. How would he know? He didn't go to his house and look. And why not just sell him an expensive Anderson door? This place needs to close. read more

I am all about supporting local business. So I decided to buy new doors for my house from Doors Plus. Let's just say I won't be coming back here for my bedroom closet doors, which were next on the list. Ill take my business elsewhere. I spent $700 on 5 doors... Fine, totally fine since they were really pretty. The doors came a week later on the day they were promised. Great. However, they would not deliver the doors, so my husband had to borrow a truck to bring my old doors to them to mock, and then go back later that day to pick up the doors, after the were "cut to our exact measurements of our old doors". Picked up the doors that day. Husband installed the doors. They were all way too short, not the measurement agreed upon. Also, 2/5 of the doors would not close. I didn't understand how I couldn't close the doors even though we gave them our original doors to mock, which always closed like butter. Naturally, I called and the man who answered the phone was RUDE and treated me like a dumb woman who didn't know what I was talking about. But it doesn't take a genius to see, the person running the machine that day was an amateur. After insisting, they sent someone out to come look. Sure enough I was right, my doors weren't closing because they were cut CROOKED. So they put in an order for all new doors. Just got the new doors today, so excited to put them up and have doors that close! Guess what, they still don't close!! I'm pissed and will not even bother calling them to fix the doors. I'm just disappointed in the overall service and craftsmanship of this business and do not recommend. read more

These guys are very unprofessional and rude but since we wanted custom windows, we didn't really have a choice. After already paying for the windows, we went back to hopefully order a door. The person behind the counter was so rude and snarky that we walked out. We used them about 5 or 6 years ago and they "lost" all our paperwork. They also "lost" the window quote, a quote they wrote about a week before going back to order them. Give Lowe's or Home Depot your business, they'll treat you a world better read more

The selection of doors was great. Having the doors installed was a nightmare. Tore out the stucco around the doors inside and out. Have to have someone else come and repair poor workmanship. Could not even fully lock deadbolt. Buy the doors but have your own contractor or do it yourself for installation. read more

I was building a new home and had shopped both Lowes and Home Depot........There is no comparison as far as quality!!!! They were 20-30 dollars more per door but it was well worth it!!! Purchased a finished interior louvered door from Doors Plus yesterday. We paid $400(certainly overpriced). Inspecting the door we discovered that it must have been sanded prior to painting with a primer. Unfortunately the primer must have been applied without removing the sawdust. Thus the door in it's present condition requires extensive sanding by hands and fingers to remove the painted over dust. We contacted Doors Plus and were told the only solution offered was to order another door and the condition would probably be the same. Their excuse was that the condition was a supplier's responsibility and there is nothing they can do. Of course, a company,like Doors Plus with outstanding customer service, would have inspected the door and would take action with their suppliers to ensure excellent products and service. Best door shop in the area. I recently ordered 12 interior doors from them. These doors had pine blocking around the edges, not the cheap MDF edged doors they sell at the big box stores. And I had them pre-cut for the hinges and door knobs etcetera. Perfect job on every detail. I have dealt with the big stores for this in the past, not pretty. I had a friend get an entry door with install from a big store. Beautiful door, but poor quality and rough install. You get what you pay for. RT read more
