I called Robbins this morning because the garage door wouldn't open all the way. Someone was here within 45 minutes. They looked at it and got it to start working, they said if I had any more problems to call and they would return. On my return later in the day it wouldn't close all the way unless I hit it twice. I called again and they were back within an hour. They changed the setting and said it should work. Since my husband is in the hospital right now I decided not to take a chance and opted to get a new opener. I was not pressured by them at all. The employees were extremely polte. Our garage door was out of alignment & it popped off the rails. We unhooked the spring from the rollers so we could get it closed. My garage door hit an obstruction just as it started to come down, too soon for the automatic reverse to kick in. The result was that one entire side of the door lifted off the track, with rollers falling out like rain, and the cable off its idler wheel, tangled into a knot. The door came to rest at a crazy angle, only halfway closed. It was a scary mess, and I envisioned a major rehab job to get it all right again. To make this brief, I called Robbins at 8:00 am and their tech John had it all back together good as new by 3:00 pm that afternoon, 15 minutes after he arrived! We had a kayak incedent where my son backed his big truck into my driveway and made major dents in the garage door frrom the boats sticking out. It was a holiday weekend (of course) but they called me back later the same day and had a guy out first thing the next morning to give an estimate. I was really lucky to get a great deal on a door that ended up not being used by someone else, and although the color was not a perfect match it can always be painted later. I called the first place that came up on a search these guys where not them. I called them second and went with them and glad I did! The garage door broke Friday and they came out the same day. They quoted (they being Travis) quoted us a price and broke down all he would be doing if we went with them(same thing the other company did but Travis didn't try to up sell) It took him about an hour to get the job done and charged less than what was quoted on Friday. He called to make sure we where still on for the morning and was here well within the time he said he'd be here. My wife came home from work and the garage door broke and I mean BROKE!!!!! Panels separated, rollers detached, cable un spooled from the spring and the rails bent. It was and absolute mess. I called the and the owner answered. It was already after 5 but he asked me for my address and two technicians showed up in less than 45 minutes. They hooked the cable and spring back up and made sure my wife could get her car out of the garage for work in the morning. Didn't even charge me for a service call. After making sure we could get the car out, they took measurements and asked if I wanted it fixed or replaced. How they could fix the door with the hinges sheered off I have no idea but they said they could do it. The technicians left and told me the owner would be in contact in the morning. Once again I spoke to the owner, he gave me all my options and told me exactly what they had in stock. I chose to replace the door and they showed up before 1pm same day. Removed every piece of the door, disposed of it and replaced every single part. Didn't reuse a single thing. I went with the door they recommended and I love it. It's so much cleaner, quieter and I can already tell my garage will be cooler then before. This is the 3rd time Robbin's has done service for me and I cannot stress highly enough how great it is to have someone you can count on when you need them. read more

I am pleased to add my five star review to the list these guys have stacked up. The original equipment doors and single opener on our 30+ year-old house worked ok...until I opened one of them at the same time I opened the rear hatch on my wife's SUV. Both sustained minor but significant damage. I used Yelp! to find both auto body shops and garage door shops for quotes. There were plenty of both listed. It was quickly clear from the folks who came to evaluate my garage door faux pas that this was an good opportunity to replace the old, uninsulated garage doors with new insulated ones with windows, so I proceeded to ask for apples-to-apples quotes from four of the suppliers with positive Yelp! ratings. All of them came in with numbers that were within a few hundred dollars of each other for installing two new insulated doors and one new opener. (I wanted to move the existing opener to the door that seldom gets used, which had never had one up to now.) A family friend recommended Robbin's after I had nearly made my decision. When I looked them up on Yelp! I found their reviews were 100% five stars. I am not sure why I had not already called them to get a quote. Cutting to the chase: they came out, looked at the job and made some recommendations for upgrades in the door design that had not been discussed by the others. When their quote came in, it was a couple of hundred dollars lower than the lowest I had previously received. I selected them on Thursday, and the doors were installed the following Tuesday. I could not be happier! Others included charges for hauling off the existing doors in their quotes. That was not spelled out in the Robbin's quote, but the Robbin's guys did that without asking. The others listed two clickers coming with the new opener; again, Robbin's did not spell it out, but they delivered three! I accidently backed up into my garage door this afternoon and i banged up my garage door's bottom panel pretty bad then my hubby came home and tried to "fix" it but he ended up detaching the bottom panel to the point where it was hanging and even more bent.
