Since then, my garage door was back-breaking to open, and they told me there was not enough ceiling space to install an automated garage door opener. I got tired of lifting the heavy door, so I called Adam, who responded immediately and diagnosed the problem as a spring that was too small for the 90-pound door and a track that was too close to the wall. For $300, he replaced the spring with the correct size and adjusted the placement of the track. In addition to that, he said he could install an automatic opener using the front wall (not the ceiling) for $575, which he did. And so, after years of putting up with a terrible garage door, Adam has given me a garage door that is easy to open manually and which I can open with a remote. We paid them a good amount of money to fix it. After they "fixed" it, we noticed a weird sound every time we closed the door. Fast forward to this week, and our garage door broke again. The wheels came off of the track again. We called them back out, thinking some of it should be covered as they were the last ones to work on it. They charged us another $300. The entire time the tech was here, he was on a phone call, cussing and yelling at whoever was on the phone. He was irritated and was obviously not paying attention to what he was doing. The next morning - as we went to close the garage, it broke again. For some reason, the tech used one extra long wheel which caused the garage to go cock-eyed and go off the tracks again. We called them back out - and they said they wouldn't cover it because the break was due to needing new springs. They wanted another $700! Less than 24 hours after they "fixed" it!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! We called CJ Garage - and they were fantastic!!!! Said we did NOT need new springs, and agreed that it was a total hack job. They actually fixed it for less than any of our payments to Haney!!! Haney is TERRIBLE.
