Midwest Construction & Supply

The salesperson said he would call the next week to follow up on our meeting. He didn't call, I had…read moreto call him. When we met again he said they would have to cut into my roof, I have a metal roof. I questioned this but he said they do it "all the time." When the builder showed up he said the don't cut into metal roofs. The builder had to cut the walls down because of this glaring error. The builder said he would get the sunroom completed in 5 days, it took 10. As time went on, he kept showing up to work later and later and would disappear for hours on end. He damaged a roof tile installing it. He damaged two walls. Although, not in the contract, he said he would build a small set of steps into the sunroom, he didn't do that. When he came back to put in the heating/cooling unit he was supposed to put the trim along the electric track. He tried to leave and I asked him about it, he said it wasn't his responsibility. I stated the electrician told me that it was the builder's responsibility. He said he has never installed the trim before and called his supervisor and the electrician (both made him do it). The builder didn't bother to have me look at the room when he finished, he simply took off and texted that he was done. He sunk a screw into the sliding door track so I had to call and get that fixed. It took 2 1/2 months for someone to come out and remove 1 screw. That builder said there were several things that needed to be fixed and the supervisor would call me the next week. The supervisor never called (this was in 2/21). A subcontractor called and said he would be out to take a look but was busy that week and would call back the following week. He never called back and never showed up. The roof started leaking in 8/21. I called Midwest 8/2/21 and haven't heard back. HORRIBLE customer service. I've been given every excuse as to why they aren't able to come out timely. Their warranty is worthless if they don't have people to service their projects. I would not recommend them, EVER. I'm not sure why it lists me as living in California, I'm in Iowa.

We are extremely unsatisfied customers with our new sunroom. We have had one issue after another…read more We have had rain water gushing in our windows onto our new flooring, gutters leaking all over, sunroom was built out of square, wind blows right in, etc. For as much money as we spent on this sunroom built by Midwest Construction we feel we got a very poor quality product. I would not recommend you invest your money into these sunrooms.

Drinks under $5, appetizers under $10, and large-portion meals under $15. Attentive, quick and friendly service. With rising costs being so insane today, there are not a lot of other places that have this much to offer at this price point. We'll be back. We had the rolls, cactus blossom, ribs, and bone-in ribeye.

Hello, We traveled from out of town for the NASCAR race and…read morehad a disappointing experience at your restaurant. On Saturday night, we came in for drinks. The bar was full, so our group of eight was seated at a table. When the hostess began placing plates down, we politely said we only needed drinks. She snatched the plates back and rolled her eyes. We returned Sunday after the race for dinner, and the same hostess recognized us and again rolled her eyes. She seated us, retrieved plates, and then returned and slammed them onto the table. I commented, "Dang, that's loud and rude," and she walked away. (Arianna is her name). Our server was good. We are respectful, good tippers, and rarely complain, but being treated this way on two separate visits by the same employee was unwelcoming and inappropriate. We should not feel uncomfortable due to a staff member's attitude, especially from the first point of contact. We enjoy Texas Roadhouse, which makes this experience especially disappointing. Unfortunately, based on how we were treated, this will be our first and last visit to this location. I hope management takes this feedback seriously to prevent similar experiences for others.

Zen Windows Des Moines - Vinyl Patio Door with Transom Window and Sidelites

We had a great experience with zen windows. The virtual estimate process was really easy! The…read morelead time to get the windows was long and beyond anyone's control, but it was kept informed the whole time. There were some scheduling hiccups when it came to installation, most of which were my fault, but everything was well handled.

I discovered Zen Windows in the exhibit hall at the 2017 Iowa State Fair. We were interested in…read moreexploring replacement windows. I was immediately attracted by the signage stating that there would be no in-house sales pitch. I spoke with Matt and learned that all that was needed in order to receive a bid was to send my rough measurements and photos of the current windows. That sounded easy enough! A tape measure and a cell phone were all I needed. Soon my information was off in an email. I also contacted other installers for bids and began researching the various window manufacturers to compare the window quality. Zen installs the 3 cost levels of Soft Lite windows, and the online reviews of the materials were positive. We decided to use Zen. Soon Dan came out to make accurate measurements. I spoke with Matt and decided to go with the middle level window and placed the order. We are extremely pleased with our choice. The window quality is excellent. The double-hung windows open and close smoothly and fold in for easy cleaning. We also selected a bay window with casement windows on each side to replace a picture window. Operation of the side windows is smooth. Further we are really happy that we went with the added expense of the bay window--we love it. Installation was fine, and there was a clear commitment to ensuring we were completely satisfied with the installation and finish work. So, all that is expected of any company. With Zen I received exactly what I was expecting! However, one element far exceeded my expectations: customer communication and service. This places Alix and Matt, owners of Zen, at the top with the very best. No question was a burden. Contacting with "Oh, I have another question..." always got a quick response. And no matter when I sent a message or question, be it Monday morning, Friday evening or even on a Sunday, I got a response usually within 15-30 minutes. If customer service and communication are important in a purchase decision, Zen Windows should absolutely be considered. Add in the other factors and Alix and Matt at Zen Windows get my highest recommendation. Look to Zen for quality materials, fine installation, amazing customer service and an outstanding warrantee for materials AND labor. (Matt can give you all the details.)

Renewal by Andersen of Greater Des Moines - Slider door. Custom wood piece to cover the metal on the left side non sliding door. Amazing. Still need to sand, stain and poly the wood.

So glad we did! We were able to schedule on a Sunday to accommodate our work life and to have both of us available. Brian came and took all the time we needed to explain everything about the window replacement process. Went through all of our options and gave us as many quotes that we asked for as to be completely transparent about what we were going to get and spend. He was very helpful, friendly and honest. Everything that he explained to us was exactly how the process went. There was never any doubt about what was happening. When our order was complete and the installation process started we were greeted by 3 of the best workers/installers/people you could ask for to come to your home and do the job. We weren't sure what to expect from 3 guys replacing all of our windows in just a couple days but we were blown away! Jont, Manny and Christian were awesome! They worked together as a team and the process went so smoothly. We were amazed by how quickly they got to work and how fast the install was. They were efficient and were very accommodating to any request. We would highly recommend using Renewal by Andersen for windows and doors. It definitely did not disappoint and we love how all of our new windows look and work!! Should have done it sooner!!
