    Haggerty Windows And Siding

Our home was built in 1936 and our siding was literally falling off of the house. Our windows are…read moreoriginal to the home. We were in desperate need of updates. Our neighbors (we live in the country, so its relative) had major home renovations and we watched the progress of their home every time we drove by. When we decided the time was right for our renovations, we talked to our neighbors. They were so very excited to share and recommend the Haggerty Team. They gushed about how the guys working on their home, had become part of the family. They gave us a Haggerty magnet and told us we would not be disappointed. Wow, were they right. We are over the moon about our "new" home. New siding and windows have made us proud of our home once again. The installers were so professional and personable. It was snowing many days during the install, yet they were still there working away in their Carharts. They always made a point to watch out for my old dog and see that she was taken care of. Our house has totally transformed and Haggerty did it. The guys went above and beyond and made sure to repair any damage to the house before siding over it. Clean-up happened daily, and I never had to ask them organize their things or address any issues. There were no issues. I just can't tell you how happy we were with the results and with the Haggerty Team. They literally helped with everything from picking out design and colors. Thanks you Haggerty for a great experience and a beautiful home. Deb & Brian Christian

On balance, not a good experience with Haggerty. Will try and be factual and objective, but realize…read morethe later may be hard to do. I was referred to them by a trusted co-worker after hail damage to my roof. The company quickly sent out an inspector, they proved a quote and the work was approved by our insurance company. We selected the materials and colors and delivery of the materials was timely. The work was started in November of 2019 - note I said started but not finished. The roof went on quickly and though there were a few corrections needed, it went as well as could be expected. Four downspouts that were to be replaced weren't, and remain that way to this day - over 9 months later. Additionally, they didn't replace the leaf guards in all areas of the gutters and several gutters were clogged with roofing debris, which continues to cause overflow issues and is damaging the landscape below. Finally, they left the yard in a troubling state of cleanliness due to the amount of debris, tacks and roofing nails left behind. To this day, I continue to pick nails out of the yard and only hope my dog doesn't get one. This spring, we contacted them about finishing and they were most apologetic. Yet, nothing happened despite multiple exchanges of emails. We had been holding back $5,000 until the work was completed but in a gesture of good faith, I paid them $4,000 (wish I hadn't now). They finally sent a guy out to measure the downspouts and look at the missing gutter guards. And despite his good attitude and promises, we still don't have the work completed. We were told that since ours was such a small job, it was hard to get attention to it (of course, when the project was initiated it wasn't a small job). I've informed Haggerty management that regardless of whether they finalize the work or not, I would not be releasing the final $1,000 due to the extreme delay, though I hoped as a Des Moines based company that emphasized "do it right" and Iowa values, they would act responsibly and complete the work. That has not happened and I will now need to hire another company to complete the work (and then it's likely a small claims suit to recover the difference in costs). In good conscience I can't recommend this company, and that is unfortunate as they nearly got it right. But they really got it wrong in the end.

I couldn't recommend these windows more. The Pinnacle Series is incredibly well built, and the…read morewood-aluminum design looks stunning both inside and out. The energy ratings are excellent (as low as 0.28 for picture windows), and every opening operates beautifully. With so many options for style, size, color, and hardware, the level of customization is impressive. Well done Windsor. We went with black interior/black casement and a white exterior frame, and it has completely transformed the look of our 130 years old house. The larger openings, new picture window, and outswing French glass doors have made such a difference - the whole home feels brighter and more open. Large mahogany trims, copper flashing. PS: I honestly don't get the one-star reviews that only complain about delivery delays (especially in the post-COVID period). Once installed, the product itself speaks for its quality. We're wishing well to this brand.

This an update to prior post…read more... 4 of 7 Revive doublehung windows are riddled with staple holes that were just painted over. Also have another with sash damage that was also just painted over. All 7 show daylight where sill seal meets verticle seal. Not the quality that we paid for but feeling generous so 2 stars. I'll add a few of the many pics. Dropping my generous review down to 1 star and I have reason for it. On all 7 of the Revive windows the aluminum exterior cladding is brad nailed onto windows from the exterior side. This creates 2 issues. 1st..these brads not only can but WILL rust as they are exposed to the elements. 2nd..you CANNOT use steel nail on aluminum trim. Galvanic corrosion will occur (When dissimilar metals like steel and aluminum are in contact, especially when moisture is present, a corrosive reaction (galvanic corrosion) occurs). This is very common industry wide knowledge. I.E. Windsors Windows knows you cannot use steel nails on aluminum but they do it anyways as I'm sure its cheap and fast. These windows are designed and built to fail. Monday I plan to reach out once again to Windsor but I'm sure after seeing how their products are built they will not stand behind their product. I should also added something regarding my issue with my new windows having leaky corners. It appears the leaks are cause by improper fitting side seals. A few locations do not leak and the mention side seal ends at the sill. The leaky areas the side seal appears too long and is folded down onto the sill. This fold in the round seal causes a crease which leaves a gap in the seal. These very poorly built windows are coming out of my house and if we have to fight over the 12k I have into them than so be it.
