The new garage doors are a near-perfect match to the existing paint job (hunter green, see accompanying pictures). We ended up needing to replace the garage roof and the frame, which Door Tech also took care of (they're not just limited to doors!). Fast forward to the day of the roof replacement / door installation and we discover a rotting post with termites. Oren is on-site, immediately communicates the issue, and provides a clear solution. We discussed the situation and scheduled a time for a site inspection. Communication was great before the appointment - as we needed to make a few time changes - and then Oren was right on time. I called my regular guy when the spring of the garage door broke, the morning of his guy had car trouble and couldn't get to us so I scrambled and called another place and they couldn't get here and then my last resort I called them. These are base on Yelp reviews so I was hoping it won't steer me wrong. We got Isaac and call us back in half an hour and got here and fixed the problem. My expectation was very high after reading the reviews. Oren came to my home very professionally and polite wearing a mask which was great. He quoted me $225 for a spring and cable install. Part of his assessment was that it would be deemed necessary to cut the sheetrock before his scope of work could begin. I did cut the sheetrock based on the markings that Oren outlined for me. I was scheduled for an appointment 2 weeks later for his company to come out to install the spring. The technician came wearing a mask as well and installed the spring. Upon inspection, there was NO reason for me to cut this sheetrock. The technician was able to accomplish the install with adequate clearance between the wall and the spring system. I called Oren and he claims he was unaware that there were beams behind the sheetrock (which I found to be a poor excuse). I conveyed to him that he could of asked me, upon his initial inspection, i made it clear that I recently had the garage renovated and I would have been happy to answer any questions and avoid creating more work and an added cost to myself. Payment was still not an issue for me, i was just looking for accountability to reflect the integrity of his business. After speaking to me in a very condescending tone and telling me that my garage was built incorrectly, Oren yelled "don't pay my technician, you got the job done for free" and hanged up the phone on me. Oren, my question is this , how did I get this job done for free? There are now additional costs associated with this mishap such as, but not limited to; purchasing sheetrock, tape, sandpaper, compound, paint as well as delivery and labor charges. Super fast response and excellent service! My 30-year-old garage door opener died recently so I needed to replace it. I looked at garage door opener reviews online and found that Chamberlain was at the top of every list. I found Door Tech on Yelp and was very impressed with their 5-star reviews and the fact that they sold and installed Chamberlain openers. I called them at 2:20 on a Wednesday and they told me Isaac would be at my house between 4 and 6pm. Issac called me 2:25 and said he could come right over. He arrived at 2:40, looked at my garage door mechanism and recommended a basic Chamberlain opener at a fair price. He went right to work and was done by 4:30. Just over 2 hours from first calling Door Tech to completion of the job! Isaac was friendly, knowledgeable and didn't try to sell me an expensive system I didn't need. My 13 year old garage keypad no longer works consistently. I found door tech here on yelp and decided to contact them. I called Friday and Oren picked up the phone immediately. He told me a technician would be there Monday morning. Today (Monday) in the morning I get a call from Steven the technician with his ETA to my home. Steven was truly wonderful! Very polite and professional. In addition to replacing my keypad he pointed out some items that were in need of attention. He educated me on the proper maintenance of my door - cleaning away any spider webs which can interfere with the door functioning properly as well as keeping the garage mechanisms and springs lubricated. The owner Oren is not very straightforward with his business practices. First, he never mentioned in our conversations that there was a charge for assessing the job. This only came to the surface when his worker announced it at the time of the assessment. Second, after stating that he would dispose of the old garage door when picking up the deposit, he rescinded to do so after completion of the job. I needed my door fixed quickly. The mechanism was broken and the door was extremely hard to lift and would not stay up. I found Door Tech through Yelp and I was able to set up an appointment for a quote through Yelp as well. Oren contacted me immediately and came by the next morning and gave me a quote. He was able to fix the springs and pulleys right away. The door is very smooth and easy to open now. A few weeks later I decided replace the operator that had been broken for some time and add a keypad. Since I was not in a rush this time, I got a couple of quotes.
