I will add that I have visited many of the Menards stores from Northern WI. to Southern WI. I have found that through out my years of buying there they always have what most want or need. I am almost at Menards daily and I am not a business person that forces me there. It comes down to this, if you need it in project form no matter what that is, they normally have it. Need a bit to eat, they have that also. Pets needs, yup they have it. Paint, hard ware, Decorations, electronics, Not to mention the lumber and all that goes into that area. Carpeting and so on. If you haven't shopped there for much try it out. I forgot the garden areas are great and for the most part you cannot beat the prices or the return policy. So support the Menards stores they are trying to help us all out. And as for the Comment to Quan L. about being in Texas. Open one if they will let you and serve all that are down there well. Tried to return a brand new snowthrower, Would not run except on choke. According to the return…read morepolicy of Menard's, once you put gas in these items: * Lawnmowers * Snowthrowers * Tillers * Log splitters * Chipper shredders * Generators * Pressure washers They cannot be returned. HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO KNOW IF THEY WORK OR NOT IF YOU DO NOT PUT GAS IN IT!!!!! Items must be fixed according to their policy: A gas-powered item may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase with a receipt if the item has not been used, is in the original package, and has not been filled with gas. If the item does not meet the rules above, the customer must take the item to an authorized center for repair. Unless the item is under warranty, repairs are at the customer's expense. There were other issues with the thrower my friend had purchased, shifting was very difficult for her, maneuvering was very difficult. All of which was found AFTER unboxing. She did not want the item. As of now it seems she is stuck with it, even after having taken to a repair facility. So a warning to all! Do not purchase the above listed items from Menard's!!!!

It's a small local business with all the messiness that entails, but keep in mind when you're going into a store like this you're supporting the local community. Their gun selection is... Mediocre at best, but the ammo selection is the best in town. I always swing by to grab reactive targets before the wife and I go shooting. It's just a small town hardware store, and it is a little expensive, but the screw is way less than the local town Ace Hardware (don't get me wrong, they also have things they do best. But the other Ace is very expensive).
