I walked in with lower back pain that throbbed and walked out feeling amazing!! Dr. Dooley took time and listened to my concerns. Small hiccup with my appointment missing in the book but I was not turned away. The mistake was addressed but I was still seen, adjusted and left feeling so much better that it outweighs the mistake. Mistakes happen, no big deal. For the record, no one paid or asked me to leave this review. read more

No one answers the phone, and when someone finally does, the staff is rude and doesn't know how to book an appointment. The whole system of having to text for an appointment is asinine, especially when they don't respond to that or email. read more

I definitely dont recommend these people they dont answer the phone first of all and I was forced to go there because of EDD wanting a second opinion on my back which was fine considering my real doctor did xrays showing I had compressed disc's in my back so I figured they would do the same but nope not at all. The doctor did a half ass examination with no xrays and had me denied for my SDI claim which I desperately needed because I was having to miss time at work due to my back being messed up. I feel like his business is in EDDs pocket so they make sure you are denied. If I could give this place a 0 star review I would. read more

Cool guy, nice service , ends there i've been waiting for over a year for my close out statement from dr dooleys office when i was told it should take less than a month. I was in a bad car wreck had bad shoulder and back pain and i am overly under-satisfied with how all this has gone, as well everytime i make a call to the office i can never reach the dr himself it's always a reception person saying they'll send him an email and im assuming either never does or he ignores them out of his own not caring either way it's all a façade he's nice in person then will ignore all emails and you'll never be able to get ur case finished like me if i would've went anywhere else i would have been had this case closed over a year later and still nothing I DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

Dooley Family Chiropractic - Chiropractors Near Me - Modesto, California

My favorite thing about Dr. Dooley is he listens to your concerns and addresses them. Ive gone to other chiropractors and when i try and explain what I feel I would get brushed off. The difference I feel when I leave his office is amazing. I'm so glad I was able to find him. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Dooley for migraines. I came to him having experienced them 20+ days of the month. The typically last for days, and are severely life impacting. I have auras, pain, vomiting, numbness in my face, ear and neck, and just try to survive until it passes. In the last several weeks since I've started seeing him, I've had two. They both ended abruptly after being adjusted. He has magic hands, folks. I've been to many chiropractors, the last of which said he couldn't help me. He asks about your prior experiences and varies the technique to actually get you results. Don't waste anymore time or money and just take your family to Dr. Dooley. read more

I've been with Dr Dooley for a few years now. At first meeting I found Dr. Dooley to be very personable and attentive to my chiropractor needs. I was in bad shape! After a thorough exam and weekly adjustments I began to feel better. Dr. Dooley never stops learning about new ways to help his patients. He has specialized services for knee pain and neuropathy too. read more

I got into a car accident and when looking for chiropractors, Dooley was the #1 recommended chiropractor in my area. He was fast with scheduling and very flexible. He is funny, understanding and I would most definitely recommend him to any of my family members/ friends! Very clean and calm office, Great service as well as his front desk receptionist. read more

Dr Dooley is THE BEST chiropractor in the Central Valley. I drive from Patterson to see him for adjustments. He is professional and does a great job of explaining what is going on and his plan to fix it. His office staff is so kind and professional as well. He is also very affordable! read more

Dr Dooley and his staff are skilled and amazingly caring! I recently went in after I injured my back and was in extreme pain.. When I walked into the office I never even sat down because they immediately took me to a room! I needed follow up the next day and even though the office was closed Dr Dooley came in to give me treatment!! Now if that doesn't say a doctor cares about his patients, I don't know what does!! And to top it off Leslie at the front desk went out of her way to find out I actually had chiropractor coverage through my insurance!! I highly recommend coming here if you need routine maintenance or get injured.. You will not be disappointed!! read more

This was my first time with a chiro, and it was Awesome! Erinn educated me on the process and made me feel totally at ease. Dr Dooley told me what he was going to do prior to the adjustments ( no scary surprises) and I felt so much better. Thank you for such a wonderful experience! read more

This man couldn't be more nicer. He is fair, generous, and a very good Chiro. Especially open to new techniques. Would never shut you down and will listen to your concerns. Most just work you like and assembly line and crank you out. read more

Excellent care at this clinic and very good at educating the patient. They care about their patients.

The whole team at the office is just a great, sweet group of people with amazing personalities & all an immense pleasure to know. The best adjustment I could find, that is available. So many chiros have their own technique. Some hurt you further; some are too gentle to do any good for me; & hey- every one needs something different. I've had an especially hard time finding someone who could adjust my neck adequately. Dr. Dooley can do it!! I've been to Dr. Rick Taylor. He's my VERY fave, but he's usually out with migraines, so is rarely available anymore, (& only $20/ visit- no xrays needed).....so Dr. Dooley is the next best. An appt with Dr. Dooley is $45, and before you can begin you are to go through an educational 1/2-1 hr session with his wife. We learned some helpful info, despite all the other info sessions we've been to over the years. As you get to know her (Erinn), you find what a very, very friendly, transparent, easygoing, sweet person she is. Dr. Dooley is also easygoing, very friendly. There's always lots of laughs & good times at Dr. Dooley's office. The whole team is excellent! Makes my day each time. Where have I been? Well, like I said: Dr. Rick Taylor- Still open, but rarely available, on Coffee Rd $20 my VERY fave! -Been going to Rick for nearly 20 yrs!! Dr. Morris- Never really helped my neck. I always felt like it felt worse after. I gave him several tries. Friendly husband & wife team but he tries at conversation a bit too hard. It can be uncomfortable. Dr. Turley in Oakdale: very friendly, professional, caring, helpful, but way too gentle for my needs. -Teaches you helpful stretches too! :-) Dr. Joy @ Modesto Chiro on Carver Rd. Way too gentle to be effective for me. He did really seem caring, thorough, & professional though. Dr. Robin Hinchman on McHenry Ave. Verrrrry friendly lady, very affordable, but again, didn't help me much... I continued to be in pain even after several adjustments. She does neck adjustments by stretching your head across her arm... pretty freaky. Baker Family Chiro.- Ugh!! The worst! Yeah, it seems sooo great at first, but you soon realize he's just a "cookie cutter routine". VERY expensive. VERY fast. & he makes you COMMIT to months & months of care or no deal. And when I found out he had an affair on his dear wife, I liked him even less....I think he remarried his mistress... ugh... ;-( Hill Chiropractic: UGh! What a nightmare!! NEVER see Dr. HILL!! He REALLY hurt me the most!! When Dr. Bell was there (& still alive), he was great, but Dr. Hill hurt me the most of all chiros have. His adjustments are horrible!! And he said I had a hairline fracture in my spine which another doctor told me "NO you don't! That's just a hair on the xray! He just wants your $$." Beech Chiro in Turlock- Some really love him, but I don't. I find him to be another "cookie cutter" type chiro dr. Very expensive & the adjustments are so-so. There was another doc I'd seen while pregnant in 99. It was McMillan, or McDaniel or Morris or some last name with M- 2 syllables; on McHenry or Coffee, behind a bread store.... I remember he was cheap & affordable but he made comments that made me feel very uncomfortable, along with the nude art on the wall... ??!??!? And another doc, that did his adjustments by having you sit straddled over a bench, and then him straddled behind you & your hands crossed over your chest... NOT fun... VERY uncomfortable. ANd both these guys, liked to make sounds like "MMMmmm!! Didn't that feel good!!???" Really freaked me out. So you see??? I've had lots of experience with chiros in the last 20 yrs!! These are the opinions of one that needs more moderate adjustments... not rough & aggressive, but not too gentle either; especially in need of good neck adjustments. Dr. Dooley does that & I'm in & out of there & feeling better after. He & his staff are friendly too. ;-) read more

I normally get difficult to deal with neck pain and headaches. However, since I' ve began seeing Dr. Dooley I have only had one since (it's been a month of seeing him 3x/week). I highly recommend going to Dr. Dooley's Office, not only is he and his staff kind and accommodating, he and his staff really care about their patients well being. Also, I've enjoyed learning about the body and how chiropractic works. Dr. Dooley's office provides excellent knowledge and expertise that I have never experienced anywhere else. read more

My best friend wrote a five star review for Dooley Family Chiropractic just because they ask her to write a 5 star review. DFC often asks for and provides rewards for reviews online so they look better than they really are. In contrast, I plan to provide facts only intended to help you find the best chiropractor for your best health. Dr. Dooley has priced himself higher ($45.00 per visit) than most very good chiropractors in Modesto. Faith Rose said in a well done 4 star review, on Yelp reported Dr. Rick Taylor charges less than half of Dr. Dooley. Twenty dollars compared to $45.00 per visit. She said Dr. Rick Taylor is a better adjuster than Dr. D. I prefer Dr. Michael Taylor DC, over Dr. D. He is open more hours, charges 33 to 40 per visit (based on the package) and gave me better results. He has a nicer place and staff that has worked for him for years. I noticed Yelp has not recommended eight of the Dooley Family Chiropractic's reviews, 50% of those submitted. One review was not recommended because Adina was paid staff at their front desk when she wrote the review, some others were from his always changing massage staff. This sure supports my observation Dr. and his wife selects and asked staff, friends, and patients to do reviews to make them look good. They are very involved in a marketing club. In this club, they promise when they join to support and write reviews for each other. I always use Yelp when choosing. I also like to use an online program called Wellness, I like that they rate specific areas of the doctor. I just looked up their rating for Micheal Dooley DC in Modesto. They report him lower in environment, because of the old Needham building, Value, they charge $45 per visit. Dr. D is also is rated lower for expertise, no special certification. When reading a review I give more time to the more detailed reviews where they give their experience. I especially do not give much attention to the short reviews that say "He is the best and He is a nice guy." The person has invested about two minutes in writing the review. My main disappointment is their medical clinic. You see an old unattractive building from the outside, Inside it looks bad too. An example is an old scratched up church bench. Halls and doors are very narrow. The bathroom is tiny. As a female, I avoided the bathroom. I am sure a wheelchair patients can't get through the narrow door. They give the excuse they don't have many patients in wheelchairs but how can they when the patient can't get up the big front step to enter the lobby, and in an emergency, how would they get out. When the place has an odor, it comes from the darkroom and the old x-ray unit and developing chemicals. Sometimes the odor comes from Essential Oils. I believe the old equipment prevents DFC from from functioning at an effective level. For example, my first chiropractor gave me gentle and drop table treatments that helped me a lot. When I asked Dr. D to do drop table treatments he said he would have to get newer table could not do that. His table that hurt my nose. They tried to sell me the HGC weight loss diet. They promised weight loss of 1 pound a day or more, The program was often criticized for promoting 500 calories a day and hormone drops that messed with your bodies natural hormones. After a while it was considered by experts to be unhealthy. Later, they dropped the HGC program and started selling a spot reduction program. They grossed me out with the fat bellies on their lobby TV. Again, they offered a low rate for spot weight reduction based on the requirement of writing a good review. The good news is Modesto does have many very good chiropractors. Many have advanced training and specialties. DFC staff are friendly but less professional and knowledgeable in my experience to the extent they remind me of a young used car salesmen. The Dooley family travel for trainings but usually about how to sell their products. I do have some concerns with the big front step, narrow halls and exit doors. They have remodeled once or twice so why haven't they enlarged the narrow doors? Perhaps my suggestions can encourage the Dooley's to remodel again to enlarge narrow doors, get better tables and x-ray to compete with the better chiropractors. If you are still with Dr. D. You may want to make suggestions to them also. I hope this review is useful to you as you considering chiropractic care. I thank you for reading this. read more

3 of us in our family are patients of Dr. Dooley. My son suffered from chronic migraines with no relief for our reg. MD. His first adjustment he didn't have a migraine in over a year. My 2nd son was hit by a car riding his bike. He was in a lot of pain. I Love that you are educated and xrays are taken before any adjustments happen. I took him in today, he was in pain. After being adjusted he felt great relief. I Highly recommend Dooley Family Chiropractic as the only choice. Thank you !! read more

I went out on a whim, well partly because I knew I needed to get myself into a Chiropractor office with all the issues I had been having due to playing a full contact sport for 4 years, and purchased their deal on Groupon. There were a few others, but something struck me about this particular office. And right from the start, even back to making the appointment on the phone, I eased my way into being comfortable. The receptionist is great, and extremely genuine-friendly. Erinn, Dr. Dooley's wife, is so full of information and passion about helping people get the care they need, I couldn't help but adore her. We sat in her office going over every possible scenario with how a chiropractor works and what they can do for me. She asked me questions, kept me actively involved in each step, and we shared stories of good, and bad, chiropractor experiences. Then came Dr. Dooley's turn to look me over and get the initial exam/x-rays done. He was very informative and would explain what he was doing while doing it, or right before. It really calmed my nerves and has me trust that he can fix me. This office is not like any others I have heard about, and if you are in need of a Chiropractor, I would not even second guess choosing this family run office. read more
