As a consumer, I do not appreciate being told that my reviews are slanderous or for the owner to continue going back and forth with me over an issue I had, while still not addressing the issues I had as a consumer. Below is the correspondence that I received from the owner. Note to all: read your contract. I'm not disputing this company's billing policy, but know that you will be charged for services prior to actually having the service and if the services are cancelled (whether by the company or you) you will not receive a refund but a credit. Just be forewarned. ******* Honestly Tracy, If you update it or not that is up to you. All the info about those policies is public on our website and clients sign our agreement before they begin service so if they do not like that aspect they know from the beginning. I do not need further response I just wanted to make sure your comment on us not refunding your money was not something out of our policies as your review makes it sound as if we just took your money for nothing. As I have reviewed your account it does not appear we took any money beyond the services you requested. Your account has been closed and we wish you the best. There are others that may be looking for a service and not like this aspect and as a consumer I want other consumers to be forewarned. As a customer/consumer of your services, I feel that yet again this is a back and forth issue rather than a business handling an issue that a customer stated. The facts are the facts and if I feel a certain way about an issue and let you(the business) aware of it, rather than go back and forth about the specifics, recognize that that is your practice and you won't change it and that I (as a consumer) will take my business elsewhere to accommodate my needs. This is not personal and as I stated before, I have had wonderful experiences with the sitters with this company. I've actually never been treated so poorly by a customer service "professional" as I was treated by Colleen Flanagan. I asked that she not return my call because I didn't want to interact with her any longer and she said "well I'm the owner. If you don't like me as a person then this may not be a good fit." I made this request because I had just spent 20 minutes being disgusted by her crude attempts at conflict resolution. Just be prepared to deal with an overly emotional and unprofessional business owner. Otherwise the dog care has always been good.

We found that Your Dog Smiles offers dog running services in addition to the standard visits and walks. When we have to be gone for an extended period of time, we ALWAYS give them a call to take care of Sadie. The notes they leave are informative and let us know everything that they do with Sadie. When we go away for more than a day, YDS takes Sadie into their home as part of the Bed and Biscuit service. She is treated as part of their home, and the pack (with 2 other dogs). I love that I get the occasional photo sent to me showing how much fun Sadie is having. Would recommend Your Dog Smiles to anyone that's looking for a Pet Service!

Blu has had a few bad experiences with groomers in New York but at canine carousel, he feels like he's at home. Chrissy, our groomer, goes above and beyond to accommodate us and blu always leaves looking like a brand new dog. He recently got the cutest haircut with dog friendly dye. I love coming to canine carousel because they are really knowledgable about dogs. As a first time dog owner, it's really helpful to have a groomer who can give helpful advice--like how often my dog should be groomed, what's the best food, etc. This family owned, business makes my dog feel like he's a part of his family. I 100% support this business. Also blu always looks amazing (and smells amazing when he is finished at canine carousel). I can't say enough good things about this company. Everyone should bring their dog to any of their locations! They really do care for the dogs that they groom. It's not just a small business but it's truly a community

We couldn't get into the building and no one was answering. The lights were off in the office and a lady who came before us said she was knocking for 10 minutes before we got there to drop off her dog. We tried to call another Dogtopia to see if we can have them call the office or someone they knew at the location since no one was answering. Super concerning for all the dogs that boarded from night before. How long have they been without care and not being able to go outside? We left after 10 minutes of waiting around and no one ever came by. They never called me and asked about my reservation or to apologize. Regardless every-time I come here, they make you wait in the front area for over 5 minutes. Absolutely no one comes unless you bang on the door. I also go to healthy hound and dog tales for backup and there is always someone in the front or at least someone comes out in 2 minutes because they know its a busy time for drop off. Never ever coming back and I would never recommend them.

It was an awesome experience just like the Dulles Pet Hotel. Julie handled the booking and she was fantastic. So kind and warm even though we were running late. The check in was so smooth and that is what you need on a Monday morning. I was then called to pick him up and I was able to meet Jackie who is the groomer. Let's just say words can not express how wonderful Jackie was. She was so personable and kind to me and our dog. We will never go to another groomer after this experience. Even though we live over 20 miles away it was well worth it and that is an understatement. We will never go elsewhere. This place is a unicorn and there is a reason you have to book months in advance. The price was so reasonable and it was just a great experience in every aspect. Thank you all and especially Jackie who is the "Edward Scissor Hands" of pet grooming in northern VA and the rest who work at the Sterling Park Animal Hospital.
