So I was out for dinner at Market Square and, as you do, had probably eaten way too much. No room…read morefor dessert, I thought. But nope! - along came a girl with free samples of froyo - and they weren't bad so off to this new shop it was.
I had no idea where "oops!" actually was, but never fear, it wasn't hard to spot: just follow the blaring K-pop. Sadly my appalling karaoke effort wasn't successful in scoring any free toppings, but more on that later.
First things first, because I know you're all dying to know: yes, they make the froyo for you. No self serve here, but the variety is everything you'd expect: I think about 8 flavours of frozen yoghurt, the original and fruity flavours and then green tea. There's plenty of toppings too. Naturally, I opted for the mango pearls (popping boba) because that's how I roll. But at a quick glance it looked like they had all the usual suspects.
The froyo itself was pretty good, and nothing unusual to report. Maybe I'm not enough of a conoisseur to write an essay about the quality of frozen yoghurt, but no complaints - it was up to the standard of any of the big chains if not a little better!
The emphasis at Oops is definitely on the yoghurt itself - I got a LOT for the size of my cup! The flip side of that, though, is that toppings aren't included (that's right, aren't included) and cost extra, unless you join in their little marketing ploy by liking the Facebook page prior to purchase ;) I've never seen the no-toppings approach before, and with a normal mix of stuff like you might get at Berryme or Noggi, this would work out to be really expensive REALLY fast. If you love your froyo pure and unadulterated, though, it's great.
Early days, but the staff were also cool and friendly and the atmosphere was good. So check it out.
