THIS PLACE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST! I've gone here since I was little and for a while every Wednesday I would come in and grab donuts for work, I always end up being so excited to see the owners they have nothing but good things to say and are always happy to see me too their service is insanely quick, and the food is absolutely amazing. The donuts just melt in your mouth. And are NOT to cakey in their kolaches are so delicious it's such a bright and cute store. The donuts at this place are always top tier soft hot and super pillowy like you biting in a cloud . This time I went got the regular glazed donut a Sausage cheese and jalapeño kolache, a croissant sandwich with sausage egg and cheese and a burrito with sausage egg and cheese I don't know how the service or ambiance is because I always DoorDash but have not tried a bad thing on the menu. read more

Very disappointed. I purchased stuff there for years but got less and less because: 9 out of 10 times their croissant sandwich isn't remotely fresh. (Not the first issue) the other day there was no one in the store or at the drive thru. This gentleman ordered an apple fritter & asked if she could cut it up explaing why. Not that big of an ask, he was treated like he was inconveniencing the girl (I believe the owners daughter) to the point he eventually said never mind. The female owner also very rude. The other address isn't listed on google maps. I needed the physical address for a hit & run in front of the other store. She tells me it's 2416. And that's it. I said there's got to be more like bypass 36 or something. She says yes that's it , after I repeated what she said because it didn't sound right (because it wasn't). She said I gave you the address what more do you want. I will not be supporting this business in any way shape or form. Not all but several that work there are rude, lazy, don't care, act like everything is an inconvenience & the quality is not worth being treated like that. read more

They are essentially the best donut shop in Gatesville. The other options are HEB and Walmart. The Donut Hole is better with two locations in town. The pastries are fresh with good hours. The staff is good too. There are somewhat better donut shops in larger cities but here there are good place to go to. read more

Sent my daughter up there for a dozen plain donuts for $5.50. They say They only have 8 plain left and just throw in cake donuts to make a dozen, but they charged extra for every one that wasn't plain glazed! We don't even like cake donuts and had to pay extra for them. If they took advantage of my young daughter, they most likely take advantage of the elderly to. During my travels it's always fun to try new places the donut hole in Gatesville was an absolute wonderful surprise donut shop sometimes you don't know what you're going to get with her be a greasy donut too much sugar not enough filling whatever might be the case this place is absolutely worth the stop it's probably even worth going out of your way 20 miles to get a good donut or kolache I highly recommend the bacon cheese and egg kolache or the sausage & egg kolache and any of the donuts I found several of them to be absolutely wonderful tasting so if you're ever in Gatesville Texas be sure and stop in the morning at the Donut Hole just note they are no longer on East Main but they are on Main Street not East Main ! read more

I like this place. The donuts taste freshly made - the way that I remember them as a kid. SO many donuts at grocery stores and other shops just don't taste that great. These are AWESOME!!! I especially like the Chocolate Glazed or Twists. Good chocolate. The fountain drinks are good with right mix of syrup. A diet Dr.Pepper and a chocolate donut is a good time. I regularly visit this area although you'll see many locals in this shop, too. read more
