UPDATE YOUR PRICES INSTEAD OF STEALING FROM CUSTOMERS!!! I have been going to this location for years. Today I stopped on my way into work to order two chocolate iced ring donuts. The total was $2.98. I handed the cashier a $20 bill. She handed me $17 back in change.....I asked about my two cents because if you do the math, they owed me $17.02. She then pointed to a hand written sign behind the counter written in small letters that stated that they were out of Pennies and to use exact change. I understand that it is only two cents we are talking about here......but it's the principle that counts in this situation. Instead of updating their prices to be in five cent increments ($2.95, $3.00, $3.05), the business would rather steal from the customer. If something costs $2.98 and the customer hands you a $20, the customer is then owed $17.02. That two cents is OWED to the customer. I'm not a charity and Im not ok with a business stealing from me. To make matters worse, I told the cashier that I would rather pay with a debit card for the exact amount. She then became really disrespectful and told me, "next time, it's a $5 minimum for a card." I told her that I understood but next time I want my two cents in change when trying to pay with cash. She then never handed me my $20 bill back after processing the debit card transaction in which I had to ask for my $20 bill and she tried telling me that she had already given it back to me and I had to prove to her that she in fact had not given my $20 bill back. She was very nasty and disrespectful about the whole situation which is not acceptable considering she was in the wrong by the business trying to steal two cents from the customer and from her trying to steal $20 from me. During the entire experience she was speaking with her coworkers in a different language and all I could make out from the conversation was two cents/pennies. I do not appreciate going to a business and spending my money at a business where the workers talk trash about a customer in a different language in front of the customer because they assume that the customer won't understand or pick up on it. In total, it was a disappointing experience with an extremely rude cashier, signs posted where you cannot see them, and prices that need to be updated to reflect the shortage in Pennies so that the company does not steal from the customer. I will not be spending my money at a place that treats their customers this way. I will not be going back and I recommend that you save yourself a headache and do not go to this location. Just stick with Dunkin Donuts because the staff at Dunkin has better customer service skills. read more

Today i wanted a brownie Sundae with the brownie on the side so i can warm it up at home, WHY u ask, well ive been here before and they warm up the brownie so hot then immediately put the cold ice cream on it which hardens the brownie. Why do i need to pay 3bucks for the brownie now ? I didn't argue and went on with it i said that doesn't make sense and he proceeded to raise his voice as if i didn't hear what he said. When actually he didn't hear WHAT I SAID. at that point i gave up and let him do his thing. I believe he was upset that i was questioning the money math. So then I went to checkout and he then takes the brownie OUT OF THE BROWNIE SUNDAE CUP AND PUTS IT IN A PAPER BAG. I ask him to not do that and allow me to keep the cup. He said it was a 75cent Charge. I said really. and he said yes because thats how much the cup costs. then proceeded to put the now empty cup back down in the shelf im assuming to be reused. How Unsanitary is that. REMEMBER HE HAS NO GLOVES ON DOING THIS. WHO KNOW HOW MANY TIMES HES DONE IT NOW! As a chain business you mean to tell me you cant afford the loss of a 75cent cup THAT ALREADY HAS THE PRODUCT IN IT?!? I go to DC nearly every morning. Today they told me they are no longer accepting cards (both debit and credit) for purchases under $5. This is upsetting to me as my debit card is a valid form of payment. I will no longer be supporting this business. They lost a very loyal customer. It's a decent place to get donuts quickly. Probably the biggest gripe I have is the smell of the place. It's a mix of cleaning detergents with mildew and batter. Over priced liquidity ass milkshakes not thick AT ALL literally drinking milk with one scoop of ice cream every thing stale as hell always. They messed up my brownie sundae I wanted a specific ice cream and told them twice and still got the wrong one with a stale brownie at the bottom. If they don't sell from the other donut connection, they would bring it here to the Lexington park location and try to resale here smh. That is not good. Great experience this morning! We don't go here too often, but were having a little craving this morning and Donut Connection did not disappoint. My boyfriend got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel. The bagel was soft and fresh and the sandwich was delicious. Much higher quality than Dunkin Donuts and cheaper. I got a Carmel latte which wasn't too sweet, which I like and my two favorite donuts (blueberry and cherry cake) which were soft and fresh! Should be the best donut shop in town, but I can't get past the poor service. Pulled up to the drive thru this morning to be waved around a car parked there an unloading supplies via the window. Get waved around, so I go park figuring they will be there a while. I park and walk in and am the only customer in the shop. The girl behind the counter starts taking an order from a truck pulling up to the now open drive up. I wait my turn as the other four girls in the shop continue their conversation. My turn may have been after the next customer came in. I didn't wait to find out. They're very patient as you select your donuts. Menu is simple & easy to read. Reminds me of a donut shop from 80's or 90's with decor & menu. Seating is limited for groups of more than 5. Really rude cashiers!! I went to the drive thru asked for a banana split with Caramel Truffle and Strawberry, with all the toppings except for nuts and just because it wasn't the traditional banana split, they RUDELY told us to pull up to the cashiers window. I then re repeated my order. She asked me to verify that I wanted it without nuts. I replied telling her that that was correct, no nuts. I come home, open the banana split, and what do I find? We did not go there for donuts so please read no further if you want to know about the donuts. The five stars is strictly for the ice cream. My boyfriend and I was able to sample the ice cream with no limit which i thought was pretty nice. The drive thru was rather crowded so it did take a little bit for her to get to us but she did. When we finally placed our orders her scoops were perfect. She made sure she gather a lot of ice cream before putting it on the cone and in that large container. The large container came with two scoops per different ice cream chosen. Im not sure if u can choose more than two different flavors as I only chose two. read more

Every once in awhile I will stop in to get a Donut fix. The donuts are ok but I they are far from the best. I think mostly the location and the hours of operation gives this place an edge. Easy to get in and out of and they also have a drive thru. The service is hit and miss. This morning at 5:30 I was served by a lady that just looked like she was so very unhappy to be there and I felt as if I was asking her to go out of her way to get me 6 donuts. Just an great attitude to deal with first thing in the morning. (not) Its ok to grab a quick breakfast but 4 -5 stars....NOT in my book. read more

When the donuts are fresh, they are actually pretty good. However often it's a gamble...you may get yesterday's donuts, which as you probably know, are going to be stale. Donuts are often stale by the afternoon the same day they are made, so I'm not sure what they are thinking. They also have a rule of credit card purchases having a minimum $5 purchase. This is really ridiculous ....if I want a coffee and a donut or 2 yet don't have cash on me, I will take my business to Dunkin Donuts (where at least the donuts I know will be fresh). read more

This place has 32 flavors of Hershey Ice Cream! That plus is great assortment of donuts and breakfast sandwiches makes it a great place for a late night or early morning treat. The staff is super friendly and the edibles are wonderful. You can even go in and sit down to enjoy the paper, a pastry and' a hot cup of coffee. I have been going here for some time because they are local and open 24/7. I have had several bad experiences but keep coming back because they are convenient. Today was the last straw. I went there for lunch to grab a vanilla latte which is usually hit or miss but like I said it's convenient. Well the drive through person hands me my coffee and the tops not on so hot coffee spills oll over me and my car. She then walks away and doesn't come back. I honk my horn because I need napkins to clean up. It takes her about 1minute to come back to the window to ask what is wrong. I'm covered in coffee and I say I need napkins because the top wasn't on. She hands me napkins and says is "is it all gone?" I said "most of it, yes, I'm going to pull over and clean up" she said "well ok" and I go park. After a clean up myself and my car I go inside to get a replacement and I'm charged for it. Full Price! I explain to the manager what happens and the person who made my coffee originally says nothing. Because of the way my day is going I NEED coffee and I'm late getting back from lunch so I pay for my replacement and leave. But I will never be back. I know this review won't do much for the locals who play the lotto or Keno here but I'm hoping someone from will see this to avoid you going through the same thing. read more
