FOOD & DRINKS
They have a small selection of famous Japanese food items like sushi, karaage or okonomiyaki. Some with a twist, others very traditional.
A short menu can be difficult. It can be great because the chef just does what he does best or it can be limiting for you as a customer because there isn't anything you like on the menu. But that is the beauty of a small menu. Just be adventerous if you can and just pick their recommendation. You might be surprised.
Let me tell you this. They have the best karaage in Düsseldorf. The frozen convenience stuff you get from Takumi and such does not come even close. The chashu I ordered was also wonderful and their okonomiyaki hits home because their okonomyaki style is what I prefer. Simply (de)light(ful).
SERVICE
This seems to be family run but I am not sure. The staff is Japanese though and you can feel it in their service. This is what you expect from a Japanese restaurant and it never dissapoints.
ATMOSPHERE
A lot of wood with some industrial influence on the ceiling. Very simple, yet going with the times. This is definitely a restaurant you want to introduce to your friends who just like you is a fan of Japanese food or culture.
RATING
Honestly I was very skeptical when I saw the rating on google maps. You don't see such a high rating very often and I hate to say this because I don't want to line up to get a seat but this is a little gem and it deserves all the praise. There is no way I won't come back! read more
