Flying K Truck & Trailer Repair

(1 review)

This repair facility opened in May of 2013. As such, I have been driving past for a couple of…read moreyears, always mindful that if I ever needed service, they could possibly help me out. Well, let me tell you boys and girls, last week I needed assistance and they were on the ready, standing by to get me back up and running. As it so happened, while making a delivery, I found a tire that was going bad on my trailer and made a note to tell the boss when I returned that day. Unfortunately, 55 miles later, the tire decided to come apart. Conveniently, I could see the exit sign off the 401 for the Flying K and I limped it in. Once there, they directed me to an open, drive-thru bay. An experienced mechanic was assigned to the repair job and he made quick work of putting things back together. The easy part was mounting my spare tire. The hard part was repairing the damage done when the tire came apart and virtually wiped out the mudflap and mounting bracket, two tail lights, a side light, and generally tore up the back of the trailer where the tail lights had been mounted. After a few hours of work, I was able to get back out on the highway and run down the road safe and compliant. While on site, I had the opportunity to visit their driver's lounge and look over some of their parts inventory from the service counter. By the way, they sell parts that a driver might need on occasion, such as lights, oil, filters, air hoses, glad hands, etc. This facility is an extension of a trucking company, so they carry inventory for their own fleet, as well as servicing outside customers. I found their prices to be fair and their knowledgeable repair technicians to be efficient with their time. I would not hesitate to take my rig to them again for repair. I highly recommend!
