They often charge more for larger quantity items per ounce or pound, expecting that consumers will not look at the price per unit and another trick is to vary the price per unit by using different units of measure, making it more difficult to compute which is the better deal. If they mix liters, quarts, ccs and ounces in a liquid such as soft drinks, it is not customer friendly. I know other do these same techniques as well, but I started shopping Meijer in the early 70s and expected more of them.

Now that there is, this one is fantastic for anything you're looking for! In particular, they have a really good produce section. Some of the biggest onions and yellowest bananas that I've ever seen!
