I thought "no big deal, they are small". However, a friend spent the weekend at my house, and much to my surprise, one of my babies nipped at their son. I was shook! I found Helene and she helped me understand how anxious my fur babies were, and that all of their behaviors were because they were so anxious about new people, dogs, places, etc. Helen took the time to get to know us before coming to our home, and even watch videos of their behaviors around strangers and other dogs. I kid you not when I say that within minutes of her guidance, the fur babies were more relaxed. Within just a few days, they were actually enjoying their walks and jumping into their collars! She reassured me every step of the way providing honest, but kind feedback. My friend came over again with both of their sons, and the fur babies did great! Thank you Helene!!!

Our main pain points were potty training and socializing, which Helene was an immense help. I first inquired about Helene's services via a phone call where we instantly bonded and I knew Helene was the right person for the task. The first lesson was a more of a Q&A to get to know the puppy, answer any questions we had about dog training, and any general q&a about dogs in general. The remaining lessons were tailored to our biggest pain points. Once the training started, we saw the changes we asked for almost immediately! Our puppy's routine was well received by our puppy, it was like magic. I highly recommend Helene's services to anyone and look forward to how our puppy will be once the classes are over. Thank you Helene!

Baxter has been there for Day Care, Boarding and also, he went through their training program, best thing we ever did with him. He is a large dog and we feel we have more control since his training. Between the daily activities and the special 2xs per week special activities Baxter is one busy puppy. We cannot express how happy we are with Barkmore. We know when we drop Baxter off his happy and in a very safe environment.

I wanted to ensure he was well-exercised, taken care of, and socialized as soon as possible. I love taking Onyx to The Barkmore. He seems to genuinely love going, and I have always felt that they do everything in their power to ensure each and every pup has the time of their lives every single day, rain or shine. I bring my pooch in every week day, and sometimes on Saturday. We are always greeted by name (well, Onyx and Onyx's mommy lol), and Onyx gets so happy when he sees whatever team member is at the door. They are quick to answer any and all questions I may have, and they offer amazing suggestions on the breed, his age, and enrichment ideas that they do at the pupclub that we can do at home as well. Every afternoon, I get a report card that includes pictures and sometimes videos of Onyx playing with his friends, hanging out in the pool, or chilling in the shade (what a ruff life!). The dogs go out in groups of about 12, and the dogs are sorted by temperament rather than size. They get playtime a few times a day, with some rest time between. My interaction with TBR started with my emailing with the owner, Stephanie. She always answered all my questions professionally, and with an undeniable love of dogs. It was easy to see how her Resort was much more than just a business for her. After multiple emails with Stephanie, I brought Onyx in for a trial day before making my decision (and tbh, while the package prices are very good, even a drop-in day is a great rate). Onyx had a blast, made friends, and was one sleepy pup when we got home. Since then, he has gone pretty much every single weekday while I'm at work, and occasionally on Saturdays when I have to be out for a bit. Everyone is so welcoming and kind, and they host weekly events for the dogs (Photos with Cupid, Catch the Lepracon, etc) as well as special enrichment days once a week that can be added on to the regular daycare. These are fun one on one events with the dogs for things like story-time, obstacle course, floating lick bowl fun, painting... there are so many excellent adventures! We love it so much that we've not only purchased each enrichment event that has come up, Onyx will be going to their board and train program in a week. They just love the pups so much, and take such amazing care of them, mentally and physically.

I explained to her that there were a few areas that he and I could use some help in, and we got the ball rolling. Brent showed up on the day of pickup and walked me through the process of what to expect during the time he would be training Kona and what kind of updates I would get. I got daily pictures and updates on his status. All I can say is wow, when Kona came back, he was a different dog. Brent spent about 2.5 hours with my family explaining how to integrate the training he used into our lives and how to use the tools he provided us with to make sure Kona succeeds. I think he trains the owners more than the dogs (lol). After we went through his training it was time to put it to use, he had my wife, and I walk Kona, and he gave us tips on how to correct behavior and relax and enjoy the walk. Thank you to Brent and his staff for helping us help Kona be a successful rescue and a huge part of our family.

The one star for the training, and the lack of stars for unprofessional conduct from the owner…read more(Brent). Our dog went through professional behavioral training through another company years ago. He had a solid baseline for learning and commands (sit, heal, place, etc.). Our primary issue was our dog's reactivity. We needed more help on how we as owners could manage this better. We decided to go with Ridgeside K-9 based on their stellar reviews and 4 week behavior modification board and train. Brent picked our dog up and was very thorough on what the plan was. We received a picture/video just about every evening with minimal communication attached. We were trusting their process. During the turn over, everything went well. We did notice our dog had lost a good amount of weight. He was never over weight by any means, but now we can really feel his ribs, spine, and hip bones. Nothing unhealthy though. We also noticed his bark was very different, and we figured it was due to him barking in the kennel during the turn over. Just over a week went by, and our dog's bark was still extremely weak. That coupled with our dog's weight loss had us a little uneasy. When confronting Brent over a phone call out of concern for our dog he became extremely defensive. He heatedly said our dog about drove him insane for 2 weeks due to his barking (which he never thought to mention previously), and then asked if we see a difference in him considering the training. I said not significantly. As mentioned, we've worked our dog for years, and the technique Brent taught us regarding our dog's reactivity is new to us. It had been just over a week and we were still learning to manage and get the results we need. However, before I could elaborate on any of this Brent completely flew off the handle. He was literally YELLING at me over the phone, saying I don't know what I'm talking about, we are the problem, and that I am a person who worries too much. I simply wanted to talk to him out of concern for my dog, and I felt like that meant nothing to him. My husband intervened on the phone due to Brent's disrespect toward me and it only got worse from there. We didn't get a hint of this instability throughout our prior interactions with Brent, and this left both of us completely in shock. Once things cooled down, Brent went back into a mode of wanting to help. Although this was appreciated, the damage was done. Brent has a lot of passion and pride in his work, but his temper concerns us greatly. It was like a switch, and there was ABSOLUTELY no excuse for that level of disrespect towards us.

My boyfriend Brandon…read morenoticed him in a day laborer's trailer and the pup was very emaciated, covered in fleas and eating his own poop. He gave the guy some beer and came home with a hyper pitbull puppy with a poor relationship with food and no potty manners. We both worked long hours and had to crate him for up to 9 hours a day; puppies need to potty every 2-3hrs. Needless to say, we were constantly coming home to a puppy that wanted another 9 hours of playtime, poopy crates and an existing hound dog who was not happy about not being an only child anymore. We were so tired by night's end, Brandon and I barely had said 4 words to each other all day; we were not sure we could keep him Remmy. Cue K9 Adventures, suggested by our vet. He gets the 9 hours of play he needs, he is being social (so important for pits AND his relationship with our hound dog is better since he actually knows how to play without nipping now) and he comes home a perfect, well behaved little gentleman. Despite spending his first months without food, they taught him to sit for meals, something we hadn't taught him but now enforce. This doesn't even account for the kindness and knowledge of the staff who knows my car and Brandon's car in the parking lot and the wonderful owner who has worked with us during financial hardships. I drop Remmy off by just opening the door because he is racing to get to staff members who sit and lay on the floor to just greet my dog. I don't even get on the floor to greet my dogs. He has puppy friends and he is easy to take care of at home. If you're struggling with your relationship with your dog or just want quality care, I could not recommend this place enough. We looked at other places and they were crate based with staff members in perfect, non-messy uniforms; cleanliness is impossible if you're giving dogs love and constant attention. K9 Adventures constantly delivers and crate free cannot be beat.

When I picked my dog up after a few nights of boarding, he had the skin of his nose scraped off and a bad cough. When I asked about it, staff members said it was the first time they saw the condition of his nose and the first time they heard him cough. They said his nose was probably from trying to get out and nudging at the door a lot. It looks like teeth scrapes from another dog. They were so dismissive of my concern. We will not be back.
