Top load washer did not spin out our clothes. So irritating that I had to go somewhere else to finish laundry. read more

This place needs to seriously consider going out of business. It is filthy, unsanitary and unsafe. The majority of the washers are out of order, there are puddles of water on the floor, no attendant present and the coin machine gives incorrect amounts. The number listed is not answered and the address is not listed on the residence. Absolutely disgusting and very unsafe! read more

I went in around 10:00am-ish on Sunday, 2/2/2025. I put a $20.00 bill into the quarter machine for laundry purposes. The machine spit out only $6.25 and short-changed me $13.25, and then was out of service (the red light). I looked around for help, but there was no employee around the premises. I have come to this facility on occasion, and I've had issues with the quarter machines being out of service. On these visits, I rarely see any attendant there to help you. The facility is typically dirty and unkept. Disappointing. read more

February 7, 2025, I went to this laundry mat to wash a bedspread. I placed 5 dollars worth of quarters into machine. Machine ate my quarters. Washing Machine did not work. It was broken, but no sign on it to tell anyone it was. I tried to find one that did work, there were only 3, but smaller machines, not big enough for my bedspread. Most of the washing machines in the place were broken. The place is filthy, has no attendant and if you put money into a machine and it doesn't work, then you lose that money. Don who is registered as the owner will not return any calls made to him. You will not be reimbursed your lost money. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. read more

After passing a gentleman who was half passed out staring us down by the front door , we were met with a series of "out of order" signs on washers immediately upon walking in. Went back several rows and found some top-load washers that did not have signs on them. Lifted the lid of one of them and it was filled to the top with what looked like sewer water. Finally found a front-load machine and set it up to wash. From the back door came in and out random people from the parking lot doing I don't know what in there. A gentleman said that random people park there bikes in there while they roam the parking lot. There was no attendant in the laundromat and it appears that random folks use it as their home base. The whole time we were there, there was only the one single woman using the laundromat as a laundromat the whole time we were there. While we put our laundry from the washer into the dryer, several wanderers came in and sat down in the waiting area and just sat there staring at those of us using the washers and dryers. There was a group of men in there (none doing laundry) when we were getting ready to go, so we asked the one woman laundry mat user still in there if she was okay to be in there by herself once we left. Despite her saying she'd be okay as she was getting ready to be finished, we watched after her from the parking lot. In addition to the strange activities going on in there that had nothing to do with doing laundry, the place was filthy, there were 220 electrical lines exposed all over the place, there was broken equipment stacked up in the back and "out of order" signs on half of the equipment on the floor. The floor was so filthy that I threw away one of our towels that fell on the floor. We've used lots of laundry mats and have never felt more unsafe or more disgusted by a facility. And we aren't easily intimidated or offended. read more

I used to use this laundromat many years ago, so came back when my washing machine at home was broken. I was very disappointed when I lost money into two of the washing machines. After putting several quarters in, the display froze and even after adding more quarters would not change. There is no attendant to reimburse you, and no one returned my call. This is the last time I use this laundromat. read more

pls pls dont go there! i walked in on a sunday and there was only one person there, that should have told me something right there!! i put 7.00 worth of coins and nothing happened! i tried to get my quarters back to no avail!! went to a different one and only put in .50 because now i know, and it wasnt registering my money, again tried to get money to no avail, i looked around and 6 other machines had notes in them about the same!! i called left message and they have yet to call me back! they should be closed down!! they are in the business of stealing your money!! nothing else!! read more

Many machines out of order. When I chose one presumably in service, loaded and paid, it didn't work. Then tried another, again following instructions - no luck. There was no employee around to resolve issue, so I notes phone number and went elsewhere. Posted phone number was out of service, so I'm out $10, detergent, and time. Previously, when my machine actually worked, I've noted other customers in same predicament. If they were also stiffed, 'Don' has a lucrative scam business going on. I hope he get's nabbed and appropriately penalized! read more

This is one of my favorite laundry Mats to go to in Gainesville, it's very clean and the prices for the machines are very affordable. The cycles for the machines are quick and I don't have to spend all day here! Awesome staff as well, very sweet and personal with her costumers. read more

Don's Coin Laundry - Laundromat Near Me - Gainesville, Florida

BE VERY CAREFUL!!!! Most machines don't even work. Some have signs, most don't. It's kinda like "put your money, detergent and clothes in and I will TELL YOU if I'm gonna work!". No manager in site, just lots of unhappy customers sitting in 85 degree heat. Sad part is I was only there to wash my runner rugs as I needed a larger washer than what I own. I had 8 rugs. 2 loads MAX. $28 LATER, (a load costs $7 per large washer, only 1 works) I did not even DRY them. Why gamble more of my hard earned money??? SHAME ON YOU DONS FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE ESPECIALLY GIVEN TODAYS ECONOMY!!! read more

Two stars on account of the new machines, both washers and dryers, that they bought in the summer of 2019. The washers cost a little more, but twenty-five cents extra per load isn't going to break the bank. Only two stars, though, because the SERVICE HAS SUDDENLY GONE TERRIBLE. Advertised hours are 8:00 a.m. opening, but you're lucky if the doors are even unlocked by 8:30. Used to be really clean, but not so much any more. Used to have very friendly and helpful staff, but the person who's there most of the time is curt and arrogant. After years of going here, I've finally found a different laundromat-home. read more

They used to be really a good place to go.. I actually went out of my way to use this place because they had an attendant and AC... now they have neither, so I may as well see what's closer to home. You guys have lost my business, as I can get this level of service way closer to home... read more

I came here because the laundry area in my community is always in use. I've never been to a laundromat before, but this place is surprisingly clean. It smells nice (like detergent), is never hot (there are giant fans), and there are no bugs (yet). If you have CoxCable (I don't), you can probably use their free wifi hotspot thing. I've been here 4 times since my initial first, and I haven't had any issues. There are a variety of washers to choose from, some old and some new. They have some large enough to wash comfortors/sheets, and another washer machine to wash even more than that. The dryers are very large and cost 25 cents per 5 minutes (for one load of my laundry, i usually spend $2.50 to wash and $1.50 at most to dry). My only issue is that it can get a pricey depending on how much you are washing/what you are washing. But I guess that's the price you pay for cleanliness. I used to think that laundromats are sketchy, and they can be, but this one changed my mind. read more

I had not been to a laundromat in many years. Not only is it already upsetting to have your washer at home break. But then to go to a laundromat and lose $10+ because you have to try a dozen different broken machines that take your money without returning it and not having the washer operate. But then to top things off they tell you to leave a voicemail or a little ticket on one of the machines with your name and phone number. Who in their right mind would leave their name and phone number laying around in public for people to spam you or prank phone call you? Of course no return phone calls and no voicemail and no one even attempting to give our money back to us that was basically stolen. If your laundromat is your business then you make sure the washers and dryer's are working. It's the only thing in your whole business that you have to do. I would give this place a zero but that wasn't possible to write a review and give us zero!! read more

***CASH ONLY*** "NO DEBIT or CREDIT CARDS" are processed at this business. It takes from 2 to 4 days to receive wash, dry, & fold items back after drop off. Prices seem a little higher here. On the brighter side this place is cleaner than any other laundrymat in Gainesville & the people that service you couldn't be nicer with one exception "Connie". She can be a little high strung, "hyper" one might say, but nothing that can't be overcome for clothes done well. Our family likes them! read more

I Have to come here occasionally to was stuff too big for my washer/dryer. The place is always clean & the few interactions I've had with employees has been pleasant. I feel pretty secure here about not having my clothes ripped off. read more

I really like this place, it's clean, smells nice, has a very relaxing atmosphere, and the employee(and people there) were very friendly. It's a nice drive from home, but it's worth it, and I'll definitely come back in the future. read more

I was referred here by a friend. I came from out Parker Rd and SW 24 Ave because I had stuff too big for my home washer/dryer. The place was clean and the floor dry. I was able to get quarters for the machines. The employee was courteous and helpful. The place was well lit, air conditioned and worth the drive. They do offer laundry drop off for $1.00/lb. The large machines are $4.75 the next size down was $4.25 and I am sorry I did not price the regular size machines. The dryers are $.25/5min and heat well. I will recommend and use again. read more

Since when did a public laundry mat begin reserving washers ? i always thought they were first come first serve but apparently i was wrong . My husband was in as it opened and had laundry in the washer with soap getting quarters when a lady came in and demanded his washer. She claimed it was reserved for her and the manager sided with her. She made a big scene and the manager called the law. M y husband had to get his laundry out and leave because of this management. He was treated unfairly and seeing that he was the only man i would say discriminated against . This is very poor management. read more

pretty clean. my clothes came out great. the service is awesome. didn't know how to use the machine and the worker there was helping me out.

Cash only. Washing machines run from $1.75 to $$$5.50 for the largest machine and a moderately sized for $$4.25. Each machine seems to have its own characteristics. A few dryers were out of order. Dryers are .25 cents per 5 minutes. The lady at the counter was very polite and helpful. I wish they had wifi. Next door is a dollar general in case you left the detergent and softener behind :). read more
