Located right off the road, It is basically built and designed with that local gasoline- establishment concept in mind (minus the gasoline). However, instead of getting attacked by an out of this world creature or flesh-hungry zombie, you are instead greeted by their staff member who is at the door and tries to help you with anything you need for your upcoming fishing trip. "What do you need?," said their lone worker. "Fishing lures," said my brother. And you name it, they have it-- sinkers, fishing rods, lures, live bait, fishing nets, beef jerky, beer. Fully stocked and ready to be purchased! The shop is cleaned, well-organized and easy to navigate. It caters to all last-minute fishermen or the forgetful who need to pick up something they may have left at home. Major plus-- it doesn't have that fish market smell. Even major plus-- some of their stuff (lures) are cheaper than Walmart. Bathroom is decent--not dirty. It did not leave me screaming for fresh air.

I still gave it 5 stars because that's what the business deserves based on my overall experience. They have an automated message answering all calls. Cannot leave message. No interaction prior to arriving the store, so you can forget getting in contact with someone if you have questions, or if you get lost trying to access the location and need help. No calls, period. They also don't reply to questions on their IG account. -There is no way to know where the store entrance is. There is a sign near the roof, but there is no visible door from the parking lot. Once I asked a neighboring business, they showed me the side door. And to my surprise.....it was a flight of stairs up. Not fun, when having to carry an infant car seat with a 20lbs baby in it. Or to a handicap person visiting. -No greeting upon arrival . The owner was with someone, there was another woman arranging the bows, and another one making the bows. Once the owner was done, I asked her a few bow related questions, and though she did help me find some, I didn't get a welcoming vibe, but more of a "you are pulling me away from my work" vibe. Visiting a family owned location, and getting non-personable assistance is a huge pet peeve of mine. I don't see myself returning here.

* Just now I arrived…read more15 minutes late for my appointment at the shooting range and was told it had been canceled. I understand that businesses have policies regarding late arrivals. However, when I asked whether another time slot was available, an employee with a beard and glasses told me that, because of my attitude, he would not offer me one. I found that response unprofessional. Afterward, I spent about 10 minutes looking at the firearms for sale, but no one approached me or offered to help. I was interested in guying one of them, but I eventually left because I could not get assistance. I came in intending to use the range and potentially make a purchase. The way I was treated left me disappointed with the customer service. There are plenty of shooting ranges in Miami where customers are treated with respect. After this experience, I have no desire to return to this one.

They have a little bit of everything. Employees are friendly. Southern Hospitality at its best.read more
