Very helpful on something that turned out to be a little complicated. Very grateful for the help

Brian can handle anything and gets it done quickly. When my water heater needed to be replaced not only did Brian replace it, but he noticed that the vent fan was bent and had probably been that way for all 14 years that the condo had been here. He took it on himself to call the company to have a new vent sent out free of charge. It took an hour of his time. After I moved in the water heater GFCI triggered and turned the water heater off. He came on a Friday afternoon straight from the hospital, where he had been with his mother. This guy is the real deal. I feel like I have someone who has my back. And he's quite affordable. He's done everything from ceiling fans to water heaters to changing electrical outlets to annual maintenance. I don't think there's anything he can't do. I trust him. read more

I highly recommend this guy. He communicated quickly was honest and upfront with us too. Very happy with Done by Dad. Thank you

Had an urgent need for someone to remove a built-in oven, and Brian was able to come over the next morning and do the work to remove it safely. He did a great job and charged the minimum visit fee for the work. It was great meeting him, and I'll probably call him if I need any more appliance work done. read more

So thrilled to find an honest, smart and super nice repairman. I watched Brian take out entire dryer apart, replace the rollers and reassemble the whole appliance and get it working flawlessly. Definitely 5 stars and I won't hesitate to call Done By Dad again. read more

We had Brian come over to fix our oven and he was quick, professional and did a great job.

I wish we could give Brian at Done By Dad six stars...he is literally the best handyman we have ever found in our 20 years here in Colorado. We have had him perform work in our house about a dozen times ranging from plumbing (kitchen faucet installation, pipe valve replacements, fixing dripping faucets), electrical (three-way switches, double pole connections, electrical panel box, etc.), gas fireplace (repairing pilot light igniters and electrical connections), furnace humidifier installation and he most recently installed a Viking double oven in my house --- All perfectly completed the first time! Brian arrives on-time, works fast, is incredibly reasonable and most important is HONEST. He's also very much a mask wearer and takes COVID-19 precautions. My wife and I are both very familiar with construction and Brian is the very best. We highly recommend Done By Dad. read more

Used for fridge icemaker repair. Super polite and friendly, very affordable and very fast and knowledgeable. Can strongly recommend for great service at a fair price. read more

Honest and straightforward. Could have taken me for a ride and charged me for it, but didn't. Called about a Kenmore refrigerator (never buy one!) and he knew enough to tell me to cut losses. And very nice guy. read more

Brian is efficient and reasonable. I called regarding a leaky refrigerator which was sporadic. Found the issue within moments. A day prior to him coming, my garbage disposal went bad. Brian told me of a great one at Costco. I picked it up and Brian replaced it too. Both jobs took 80 minutes. read more

Totally fabulous and $ fixed washer pl ase check my other review from e more info

We had a laundry list of issues that were piling up so we reached out to Done by Dad to help. Our drier that was making noises, plumbing issues in our downstairs and master bath. We were so happy with the service level, especially how honest he was with us. It truly felt like my dad was coming to help out. There were some plumbing issues he said he could rebuild for us, but it would be a waste of money and we should just replace. Even though that meant he would not be able to charge for it. He said "if you were my daughter, this is what I would tell you to do". That right there will make us a regular customer. Will be using Done by Dad again. read more

I would never use this guy again. He totally damaged the top of our washer and dryer and then just said that's the way it is!! I've been crawling on top of those appliances for 4 years and never damaged them. He is very rammy and doesn't take his time. He said he was going to clean it out and then when he was putting it back together he said it was ok. No...he just wanted to get out of there. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! read more

I have a 5 year old fridge that finally stopped doing what a fridge should do. Keep things cold. I put it off as long as could keeping the meat loaf in the 5 foot snow drift outside my window for a couple days. (gotta love spring time in the Rockies.) I finally decided it was time to call a repairman so I could get rid of that huge wad of that pesky cash in my wallet that was making it all lumpy. I called around getting the usual spiel of "oh yea we can take a look but it will be about a million dollars upfront plus trip charge and "lunch" money for me and my partner but I can't promise it will be fixed." I know I heard someone being addressed as "Mercedes" in the background but that is beside the point. Then I found an ad for a company called "done by dad" Hey dads are cool. I am one of those maybe he is the guy for the job. I called Brian and after an enjoyable brief interlude of classic rock he answered. I told him the symptoms and he actually gave me some free advice on how to fix it. Hey that is a good sign. It did not work since it was actually really ultra busted broken (industry term) so I called back a couple days later to have him come out. I am actually out of his usual service area and it was dumping snow as I previously eluded. He came out anyway ON TIME and wrestled that beast to the ground, found the problem, got the part and had it spittin' cubes in record time. He could have told me it was possessed and needed a $1000 exorcism and I could not debate it. But he did not. I needed a new motherboard for my fridge. (thought about a ram upgrade but decided to wait for the Apple IFridge available Q2 next year.) Needless to say I could not be happier. My meatloaf is chillin' and my wife is less screechy in my ear. Everyone is happy. Thanks Brian! read more

Done by Dad has completed several home projects for me. Brian installed a ceiling fan in a bedroom. He was done with the project in just minutes. Another project was more involved, Brian installed a garage door opener. The door worked the first time, and every time. A door installation company would have charge twice what Done by Dad charged. If you want it done right, call Done by Dad. read more

Brian has helped me out many times with household problems. Sometimes he has to figure out the issue or get parts, but he never fails to fix what's ailing. And he's a nice person to boot. read more

Had to pay a $65 diagnostic fee but felt that Brian was honest in telling me what was wrong with my dryer and that it wouldn't really be worth me paying the $300 to repair it. read more

Brian has nothing in writing about his cost structure, and after waiting to meet with him to fix an important issue at my house, he wasted my time chatting about himself (which he said he was going to charge me for) and then refused to help me because I wanted clarity about how he was going to charge me for the project. I had told him that I'm a single mom without a lot of money and so needed to know what it was going to cost me and he said because of that he wasn't going to help me. He left without even so much as looking at the issue he had come over to fix. I lost income missing work to have this meeting, as well as lost time that I could have hired a reliable and professional person to fix this important issue at my house. If you don't want to pay for someone to tell you their life story, or if you're like me and you want to know how much something is going to cost before you agree to pay for it, don't hire this very unprofessional and inconsiderate person who frankly is breaking the law by discriminating against a low-income single mom. Calling himself "Dad" is even more misleading. read more

My dryer was taking longer and longer to dry a load of clothes, so I called Brian. He came out that day, at exactly the time he said he would, and started to work. He cleaned out the vent, vacuumed out the dryer, inspected the drum, moved the dryer so it would vent better in the future, and dusted up the entire laundry room. And he did it all within an hour and at a price far less than I had expected to pay. My neighbors are now calling him for work regularly and they are happy too. read more

Dad fixed my washer and was very fair with the charge. He also showed me how to stop it from happening again

I had several things around my house that needed repairs. All my family live in NM , I'm a single woman and really didn't know who to trust. Also very low on funds. Anyway one night after wishing my Dad was around to fix all of these things , I searched 'handyman in Lafayette Colorado' the name of the business caught my attention. In a leap of faith, I sent an e mail describing my needs. I received a prompt reply and Brian arrived right when he said he would. He replaced my kitchen faucet, hooked up a washing machine for me, and fixed a MAJOR leak in my upstairs bathroom. He was fast, thorough, professional, and efficient. More than that.. He was KIND. He charged me a reasonable price. After he left I said to myself: "there ARE lots of good people left in the world". I can't thank him enough and would recommend him to my friends. read more
