Cadeux is a unique gift shop that caters for both men and women. I can usually get quite excited…read moreabout gift shops, and Cadeux is not exception! Usually when I think of gift shops, I get the image of stuffy little card shops with a small arrangement of 'dated' gifts that seem to follow the same trend everywhere. Cadeux is a very stylish shop full of unusual and quirky gifts. They even offer a wedding list service so you know the choice must be extensive! They offer delivery on their goods and also an online shopping service. I'm a big fan of the artwork they stock too, from Rolf Harris, Csilla Orban & Nemo to James Blinkhorn, Doug Hyde & Fabian Perez. If you need an unusual gift idea, have a look at their collections.

WHSmith at White Rose in Leeds is better for card-shopping than anything else, the selection of…read moregreetings cards is rather large, compared to other WHSmith stores I have visited. There didn't seem to be any staff members working in the checkout area - The one manned checkout was closed and there was no one supervising the self-service checkout, which would have been helpful, to help me deal with a machine that was running so slowly. I do think having a Post Office inside this WHSmith store (Many WHSmith locations have one now!), would be a useful addition, with the nearest other Post Office being a mile away. Pretty much a typical WHSmith, the prices are a little high, the setup of the store could be better... at least they've got rid of those horrid carpets! 3*
