Have been to Donatos several times. The pizza is very good, We order 1/2 Margarita and 1/2 works on thin crust. Also enjoy that you can add subs for $5 each if you order a Lrg pizza. We like the Big Don Italian so we both get a sub for $5 ea and have at least 2 meals sometime 3. The staff is friendly . The place is clean. I did start turning into the exit just as you come in to skip the damn swig line. If you get in the line for SWIG you may sit for a while. TERRIBLE layout for a parking lot! read more

There is plenty of parking when I first pulled up. The ambience of this place was very clean and organized. The service is very friendly and polite. I was with my mom and we ordered two different pizzas and they were fresh and crispy. The food is very delicious and they said it's made fresh daily. The AI screwed up the location of my residence and put in a location completely on the other side of town then DoorDash delivered it to that location The store closest to me couldn't do anything about it. I had to call the store where the order went but again was a mistake because I put the order for Northwest Edmond, and it went to the Edmond downtown store. This is my first experience with them, but I have to say it's been miserable That being said the manager of the Edmund Store, Jasmine, has made it correct refunded the order and is getting a new order delivered to me. We decided to grab pizza at Donatos after the Water Lantern Festival with the family, and it was the perfect ending to the night. I'm usually a deep-dish or hand-tossed pizza kind of gal, but their thin crust was amazing - crispy and flavorful. We've had it in the past in Ohio, so seeing them in Oklahoma was a treat. The Founders Favorite Pizza was a hit with our kiddos, but the real star for me was the pie with hot honey on it. Absolutely delicious! Warning for parents -- my toddler wasn't thrilled when she grabbed some quickly and shoved it in her mouth. It is spicy. Counter service was what you'd expect. I was hesitant to try this place based on several of the burnt pizza pictures. But I was out running errands and thought why not! I walked in and the inside is VERY clean and organized! It is designed with bright colors and is light and airy! Very nice place to sit and visit while eating. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Since this was my first visit, I had several questions which were answered thoroughly by the young man at the register. I settled on the 10 inch, thin crust, with green bell peppers and onions...to go. It was ready fairly quickly, less than 10 minutes. I tried one piece while I was there and it was soooo good! The crust is very thin and very crispy! Flavorful too! I liked the sauce a lot...not too sweet and not too much on the pizza! The toppings were more than enough and didn't sog-out the crust. Not one burnt or brown spot on my crust! It was perfect! I took the rest home to eat. I highly recommend this place if you truly like thin and crispy crust! It's the best in town for sure! Waited 30 minutes for our walk in order. Luckily we were there when the young waitstaff's boyfriends showed up so we could see all the selfies they were gonna post. Since we had to wait a really long time for our food we needed to use the destroyed bathrooms...utter filth and not just the men's room! We got our two pizzas first as the young cutie was in a hurry for us to have half our order. That way it would get cold while waiting on the other half obviously. Finally 30 minutes later and no they weren't busy...tons over over staffed people standing around...we took our to go order home. They burned the entire order!!!!!!! Love the thin crust but with enough sauce to know it's there. Some thin crust is like cheese on crackers. Their ratios of cheese to crust to sauce is perfect. Let's start with the positive since I really don't love to give the downside too much spotlight. The customer service was WONDERFUL. The you g woman taking orders was so patient with our large crew! She was very helpful with suggestions since this was all 3 of our families first time to try their restaurant. The menu was a bit all over the place. I did love the options though! Pizzas (different combos and crusts as well), unique fresh subs, calzones, tasty sides, wings, salads and of course deserts. Prices were higher than a more common fast pizza joint but weren't completely unbearable. We went with the Asiago Cheese bread and meatballs to start. The cheese bread was fantastic. Cooked perfectly and the cheese was so delish! The meatballs were well..... meatballs. Nothing bad but nothing special. They did taste good though. I may order them again if we ever chose to give the place another shot. I do wish we would have tried the wings, just because. We got an Italian side salad. It was just a Togo salad mix with some banana peppers and mozz on top with a package of Italian dressing so that was a little to be desired. Then came the pizza. We had a hand tossed their version of a supreme. I can't recall what it was called now. It was a specialty pizza and the only thing we changed was the cheese on it. We aren't provolone on pizza people so we got mozzarella. That was a wise choice for us. Our friend's pizzas both came out pretty overcooked so I was nervous for ours. To our surprise ours was half a little overdone and the other half was pretty soft. The crust was fine but very plain. Sometimes though, that's nice and don't overdo it. The toppings were more than generous and we loved that. We thought the small amount of sauce could have been fixed but it wasn't anything a side of marinara couldn't fix. There wasn't a lot of seasoning on the pizza overall either so it was just...plain tasting. Nothing too special. For a delivery and take home pizza I would definitely choose something else on the normal night. Dining in was easy and pleasant, just would want them to watch the pizzas and make sure they were so toasty. The place was easy to find and very clean and new. The atmosphere was great too. Very chill. They staff was very friendly and did their best to accommodate us. We don't mention the over baked pizzas but they most likely would have tried to help us with that if we had bothered them about. Overall..... we will probably find a different place in Edmond to enjoy pizza when we visit in the future. read more

I'm really disappointed this was not good. I have been seeing a lot of ads for it on Facebook and seeing it when I drive by going to Mo Bettah's or Swig in Edmond. They had a coupon so for tonight I told my husband I want to finally try Donatos Pizza. We don't eat out as much having tiny kids because it's better and less stressful to take things to go. If you know, you know. Anyway, I went and got the pizza and took it home. I ordered the large (The works) with the famous thin crust. The pizza smelled amazing in the car. For $20 it isn't too bad. They give you a lot of toppings. Fresh toppings it even looks like. Anyway, here's the taste test... it was horrible. The burnt crust is bitter and what is really up with that crust, it's dry and flavorless. Tasted like burnt toast. Grainy, hard, and dry. I am not sure what is the big hype about this place. I may have an unpopular opinion, but I can truthfully say we will more than likely not come back here for pizza. I know they are a franchise but they do not compare to Hideaways. read more

The best Arcade pizza you'll ever have. Very interesting pizza... it's cut into bite size pieces and I really get the feeling it's best for a party or something instead of a stand alone meal. It isn't good enough on its own in my opinion, it legitimately reminds of me pizza from an Arcade or as part of a buffet or something. The sauce doesn't really taste, and the cheese blend has a little too much of a smokey and Swiss flavor. The crust is kinda a reminiscent of... pretzel dough? I really dunno what else to say. I remember when Donato's came into Atlanta and I really liked the pizza. I keep reading about them expanding and I was traveling in Edmond, OK for work and found this newish location. I was excited and decided to check it out for dinner. There was one other person waiting but it was quiet inside at prime dinner time. Drive thru pick up seemed busier. Paper menus are in a slot on the wall. Why no menu board? I had a small Founder's Favorite. It took about 15 minutes. I like the way they cut the pizza; some pieces were little tiny appetizer like triangles that were fun to eat. Evenly cooked but more toppings in the middle and didn't get cooked as well. A few bites either the ham or sausage tasted strange and I ended up spitting out two pieces. Crust options are great! The thin and thicker crusts have edge to edge toppings. Hand tossed has the typical crust edge. The thin crust is more like a cracker and is too thin and crisp for me. I also request that my pizza is "pie cut". Not a fan of the various shapes and sizes of the "square cut". Love the cornmeal (?) sprinkle on the bottom of the crust. I also ask for extra sauce if I plan on reheating leftovers. Topping ingredients are always fresh and the ground beef doesn't taste like the "hamburger" some places use. The amount of toppings are more generous than most other places. I like that the onions, green peppers, etc. are not diced. They are cut in larger pieces which keeps the crunch. I do wish they used red onion instead of yellow onion. The pizza sauce is on the sweeter side, but not sickly sweet. This is my preference for both pizza and spaghetti sauce. Is this a traditional Neapolitan pizza sauce? No, but it's good enough that I ask for extra sauce. YMMV. Customer service is fantastic. Let's face it, guys, there's not much for them to do while waiting for a pizza to cook. I usually chit-chat with employees a bit while waiting for my carry out order, but they clean tables, etc. if it needs to be done. Dining area including the floor is exceptionally clean. read more

I really wanted to like this place! When I walked in, I noticed that it was very clean. It had a good atmosphere with music playing. There was an issue with my order, but the employee at the register helped me sort it out. I ordered a basic cheese pizza. The flavor of the sauce really wasn't good. Received a fancy coupon card (laminated which is expensive from Donato's pizza on 1148 S. Bryant Ave. Edmond, OK. Called and said "I have your coupon for $27.99 would like to order that". Lady who was hard to understand said "We dont have that coupon". I said "I'm holding it on my hand". She says "I'm sorry we dont have that". So I told her thank you, I'll go somewhere else where they want my money". She then said, "ok, thank you". I work in the corporate world of QSR and it baffles me how Marketing spends thousands of dollars on advertising, to have store level people tell you they don't want your money. We tried their pizza last night on the first day open. We were really impressed! We ordered through the app at about 8:30pm. Super easy! Toppings tasted really fresh and the thin crust was especially delicious. Our favorite that we tried was the Chicken Spinach Mozzarella. We will definitely be back. read more

Was looking forward to our first visit to Denato's pizza and we were disappointed. We ordered two pizzas and they seem no different than a run-of-the-mill pizza places. If they want to make a great pizza look up Halls pizza or Roco's pizza in Tucson. Both of these places are packed out every night. read more

Tonight, after receiving discount coupons in the mail, we decided to try Donatos again. Well. Tried ordering online and using the code sent to us. It didn't work. Called them and they said to come in with the coupon and they would honor it. Finished the online order. Breadsticks and pepperoni pizza. Hubby picks it up and brings home TWO orders of breadsticks and the pizza. I would NEVER have ordered 12 breadsticks for just 2 people. They did honor the coupon code, though. They forgot to give us the cup of ranch that we ordered. Their breadsticks are good but not a fan of their pizza sauce. It's a bit on the sweet side and lacks any spice whatsoever. Probably won't order again. There are so many others that are better. read more

Visited on its 1st day open (8/15) . . . often it's not a great idea to announce a "grand opening" on day 1, rather than waiting until some of the kinks are ironed out (as I suspect some early reviews reflect). I ordered through the drive-thru and was given a pick-up time, and when I returned it was ready as promised. Staff was friendly and provided a take-out menu when I asked. The pizza itself was nothing special - "hand tossed" came out thick and airy, more like pan pizza than NY style, with very ordinary pepperoni (not the curly kind), and it was cut in an awkward grid fashion that resulted in a few tiny pieces of crust only. There are so many great local alternatives - hope this place does well but it did not distinguish itself on the first try. read more
