He was a god send, and I now know that. My intuition told me to see him first. He turned out to be a real healer type doctor. He is here to save your teeth and not a sales person like so many other dentists. He is unbelievably good. First he had decades of experience, not someone with few years in the practice. His seasoned masterful skills and intuitions born of treating many people over many years. That is what I trust. And he's kind, truly cares about your wellbeing. And I saw him humanitarian from what he does to help his patients. He truly feels like a real doctor who listens to you, dedicated his professional life to his craft, is doing this to help people, not primarily for money. Not to mention he is a board certified doctor and very humble. He called me to check up on me after a major treatment. That is just wow No wonder he only has 5 star reviews. Today was an extraction of a wisdom tooth that has been going downhill for a few years. Over the past 3 years Dr Martin has done a hand full of extractions and implants for me. All teeth that started as cavities when I was a child (I am 65 now). Dr Martin is fast and as painless is is possible. Today a rotten wisdom tooth was removed in a matter of minutes, with zero discomfort at the time and very little several hours later. Dr himself called me this evening to followup. Dr Martin is exceptional at what he does, super nice, kind, and sensitive to my other medical issues to make sure that I am as comfortable as I can be (5 herniated discs in my neck). Oral surgery is never something one wants to go do, but Dr Martin makes it as pleasant as it can be. I doubt that anyone does it better - I think I've had 6 or 7 extractions and 5 implants done by him. The very best!

I guess I was comparing it to a root canal in another state from 20 years ago that was horrific. I worried for no reason. I know little to nothing about dentistry yet I did attend medical school and designed a lot of medical equipment, so I know quite a bit about medical procedures. Dr. Lang made the experience very easy and no pain at all after the injection. It was clear he took his time and didn't rush anything, while always making sure I was comfortable and ok. I also especially liked his pleasant demeanor and communication to let me know not only what was going on, but also what was about to happen and what I might feel, so it would not be a surprise. Then there was his other general communication off topic of dentistry. And what other doctor will ever call you on the phone after a surgical procedure to see how you are doing? NONE, except Dr. Lang. I put him at the top of every Doc I've seen over the last 50 years !!! As a side note regarding a couple other reviews. It is interesting that a couple people say Dr. Lang is fabulous yet give the practice low marks based on an unpleasant interaction with a staff member. Hey folks, you aren't reviewing a burger joint. Your rating for a business like this is supposed to be about the main person, the doctor. It is a bit ridiculous to rate a practice based on the front staff that might come and go over time and get replaced. All these ratings should be 5 start since everyone seems to love the work he does.

It should have been pulled and an implant put in.... Another implant. The hygienist, Tanya, her hands are shot... locked fingers which she has had to have surgery for. The relies on just using a cavitron. I have asked her each time to PLEASE DO HAND SCALING as someone with the extensive amount of dental implants, bone grafts and sinus lifts and all my teeth are now caps... you can not feel if there is ANYTHING going on under the margin of the tooth and gum line with a cavitron. I told Tanya twice my tooth hurts in the back and she never called in the doctor which is why I wanted to have a pero office hygienist do my cleaning due to the volume of dental work I have. Anyway long story short.... His front office receptionist tried to first tell me I did not change all my other scheduled hygiene appointments with the other hygienist and then she tried to tell me that I was not a pero patient, meaning deep root cleanings and I should ask my brother what a pero patient is as he is a dentist 6-7 hours away. I do not need a rude uneducated front office receptionist by the name of Gina, telling me I am not a periodontist patient, having just moved from New York City and having the best Periodontist doctors, Dr. Bart and Lauren Langer work on my teeth these past 20 plus years. Gina was exceptionally rude, the doctor should have never performed the gum graft in the first place so it was a was of $1300 My finding and awareness is when a dentist reaches a certain age, they go for the money and with Covid it is hard to sell your dental practice as the new dentist wants to see the last 3+ years of income and with covid it make that hard to do. First can we just talk about how great this location is, close to midtown, middle of everything, still ample parking. Looked to be a former residential residence, the building has so much character. Upon arrival I was greeted and not too long after they sat me down and started the process. They offered a neck pillow for comfort, tv overhead with earphones if you'd like. Incredibly friendly and helpful throughout without the awkward chatter many of us are accustom too in the chair- you know the continuation of questions while they are taking care of your visit for an in and out, in and out (the instruments) type of experience. The hygienist was fantastic and walked me through some things prior to the dentist arrival. Post this, the visit was great, I shared what I hoped to accomplish in upcoming visits, etc and they were not only incredible professionally but so personable and helpful! They laid out a plan and pricing up front, no hidden costs and were helpful with the scheduling even with it being so close to the holidays! And what I'm very disappointed in is the billing. They stopped taking my insurance and I have a secondary insurance to cover costs. They told me that they could bill the secondary after the primary insurance decided what they would cover. The office manager never billed my secondary, she would constantly call and text to get me to pay the difference. After three visits of "you owe us money" because they didn't bill my secondary, I was done. Cindy is very rude and snooty. She even told my husband that I still owed them $130 from a "really long time ago" when it's actually on $37. Even the voicemail saying "we've waited a long time for this" is outrageous to me. You didn't bill my insurance, you tried to get money out of ME instead.
