A difficult & abused feeling experience with this firm…read more I needed legal help to process the estate of my deceased mother. I ended up wasting six months and about $4K, paid in fees, with no outcome with Geller Law. I was first requested to have a mandatory paid initial consultation session to go over my legal help needed. I was introduced to Julie S. during this session. After describing my specific case & needs, she informed me that Geller Law can handle my case. What followed was months of emotional stress & redundant conversations with the staff of this firm that yielded no results. It became clear to me that they didn't know how to legally handle my case. Some staff members were argumentative & appeared trying to take advantage of this emotional situation for me. There were redundant conversations that I was later billed for. I concluded that this firm is not the choice that can handle my case professionally. I terminated my work with them. The new law firm I selected to handle my case turned out to be more knowledgeable for my case. And, more compassionate with me. The process was handled smoothly & professionally to completion.

I know that's where I was. And it's Steven and Katarina who got me out of it. I do a lot of things myself, but I never could have done this without them, and I'm very grateful.

The filing appears to be based on information that does not match me in any meaningful way. The person they intended to pursue: Has a different first name (their first name matches my middle name, not my actual first name) Shares only the same last name Has a different address Has a different date of birth Has a different last four digits of their Social Security number Has a military history, which I do not These are not minor discrepancies--they are fundamental identity differences that should have been identified before filing a lawsuit. What is especially concerning is the lack of responsiveness: We called the office twice Left a voicemail Sent two emails We received no response, despite an active court deadline. As a result, we were forced to prepare and file a legal response ourselves to protect against a claim that should never have been filed against us. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to exercise extreme caution when dealing with Harris Loftus. Filing a lawsuit against the wrong individual under these circumstances reflects serious failures in both verification and communication. In my opinion, this conduct is fundamentally wrong, and I would recommend avoiding this firm altogether.
