I ended up wasting six months and about $4K, paid in fees, with no outcome with Geller Law. I was first requested to have a mandatory paid initial consultation session to go over my legal help needed. I was introduced to Julie S. during this session. After describing my specific case & needs, she informed me that Geller Law can handle my case. What followed was months of emotional stress & redundant conversations with the staff of this firm that yielded no results. It became clear to me that they didn't know how to legally handle my case. Some staff members were argumentative & appeared trying to take advantage of this emotional situation for me. There were redundant conversations that I was later billed for. I concluded that this firm is not the choice that can handle my case professionally. I terminated my work with them. The new law firm I selected to handle my case turned out to be more knowledgeable for my case. And, more compassionate with me. The process was handled smoothly & professionally to completion.

The WORST law group for bankruptcy!…read more I've had a very disappointing experience with this law group throughout my bankruptcy process. My experience has been that Scott wasted my time, didnt provide needed information, didnt give me statements or proper notice of changes, didnt pay attention to information I needed to be aware of and ends up putting me more in debt and in more hardship. When I asked him how it happened or why I wasnt informed, he claims he doesnt know and refers me to speak to the debtors who cant speak to me because they can only legally speak to or provide info to the attorney. Then Scott claims he didnt receive statement's or information. When I let him know I needed to talk to him, he responds via email and doesnt call me. When I call the law group to escalate over him, they tell me they cant but I can speak to him. DONT USE THIS LAW GROUP as they cause clients to be more debt, they dont care about your finances or getting back up on your feet. There is no value or good outcome to using this firm. Scotts paralegal even stated he's used to people who are more hands off .... interpretation: he does the least amount of work possible and takes your money. When I did complain to him about not being detailed or ethically providing me the information and resources he is required to and is needed, he petitioned to drop from the case. I had a 30-45 min consult with another lawyer after he said he was positioning to drop my case, who I received more information and knowledge from than I have the 2 years with Scott. Scott claims to be experienced and knowledgeable, but he's not. FYI getting a new lawyer will cost you more money, and probably at an hourly rate instead of the flat fee one lawyer managing your case would be. With him dropping clients who speak up about his failure to support them, he's putting people in a worse position if anything comes up during the bankruptcy that a lawyer is needed for, and again costing even more money.
