After being referred by my daughter's therapist we contacted The Law Office of Joan H. Proper. Ms…read more Proper was the lighthouse during a stormy period of our life. Our initial consultation was well worth the initial consultation fee. In other words, she kept it streamline, asked pertinent questions and most importantly took down my emotions so we could get to business. I left her office confident she was the perfect advocate for my child. Ms. Proper knows her sh** and is highly regarded in her area of expertise. She knew the 'players' in Prince William County. She navigated the specific high school and the Kelley Center Special Needs Department. At the conclusion of our case, we chose to have her prepare a Medical Power of Attorney for which gave our family peace of mind. Now, what prompted this review? The unfair review of Ms. Proper which was unwarranted. Most attorneys require an initial consultation fee; their time is not free. Ms. Proper's fee is actually quite low and she doesn't mince words. Ms. Proper is an active listener, is sensitive to your needs, provides education on the law then informs if you have a case. If you have a case, she lays out the costs; either you seek representation or you don't. Ms. Proper also gives back to the community. What do I mean? Once a month/quarter she provides pro-bono (free) consultation at a local non-profit.

Many attorneys have told me that the ruling should have never happened and that I was poorly represented. But it was worth it. The things that the Wilson Law Firm group may have seemed excess but, if you follow their recommendations to the last dot, you are doing yourself a favor. If you're scared of the fee, unwilling to fill out a lot of paperwork or completing a lot of voluntary pre-requisites by the time of your court day, then turn away. Otherwise, I will never regret using Wilson Law Firm and God forbid I ever get in trouble but if I need another traffic lawyer for serious offenses I will use them again without hesitation! I was charged with reckless driving and eluding an officer on my sport-bike. It may have helped a little that I was respectful to the officer when they caught up to me and arrested me. But I know for a fact, my outcome would not have been possible without the professionalism and respect the Wilson Law Firm has within the court system. In the end I got the minimum consequences of reckless driving, 6 points, fee cut in half, and no license suspension. He also got the eluding charge taken care of with a nol pros. So as long as I stay out of trouble it comes off my record in due time. If you want a top quality lawyer, and are taking your charges seriously and willing to do what it takes, you will not regret picking Wilson Law Firm. If you're too lazy to take the consequences of your actions seriously and want a magician, look elsewhere (and good luck, they don't exist).
