Those hopes were smashed to bits when I returned for a follow up appt & was told that everything was normal. He had ordered labs, a brain MRI, as well as MRIs of my full spine. He told me everything came back showing nothing was wrong. He told me "You have way too much going on" (referring to my symptoms) and said he would refer me to two other neurologists. I asked him what he meant by saying "Nothing was wrong" and that I have "too much going on". He said something along the lines of I have too many symptoms, but that the tests don't show I'm having those symptoms. (Like many drs before, he suggested that it was stress, depression, anxiety, some other mental issues or weight related.) I was ready (again) to give of hope of ever finding answers and help. In the last 3 years since seeing that dr 2 more neurologists, a gastroenterologist, a cardiologist, 2 rheumatologists, a chiropractor, an acupuncturist, 2 therapists, ENT, sleep specialist, 3 physical therapists... the list goes on. (Unfortunately) Anyway, I did find a neurologist that was more than willing to help me, but was finding it challenging. (She didn't give up) She referred me to some of the other specialists I listed & she redid the MRIs that I had done by the previous neurologist. When we read thru the full report of my C-spine and my lumbar spine, we saw that there was a lot more than 'nothing' going on with me. Herniations and determination, as well as stenosis are a few things that the other neurologist neglected to mention (which were listed in the report) as well as these things and other issues be very easy to see when taking the time to look at the images. I could go on and on describing the neglect & failure to diagnosis or even make an attempt to figure out even one issue. There are lots of good drs out there, please don't waste your time on this guy, because he's not worth the stress.

We had some scary moments for sure but we also could rule out things such as MS. Dr. Siavoshi is attentive to the science of medicine & the care of her patients. I cannot speak more highly of her as a doctor. She identified & drastically improved my migraines, she identified & stopped peripheral neuropathy & associated pain due to poor nutrient uptake and, she took charge of neurological monitoring. Because I am 46 and presenting with visual-spatial failure rather than classic memory loss, the approach was dismissive. Objective biomarker findings were brushed off as potential "flukes," and real-world functional losses were met with a striking lack of clinical concern. Advice for Atypical / Young-Onset Patients: Be aware that even specialized Memory Disorder clinics at major academic centers can be heavily biased toward classic, late-onset memory presentations. If you have an atypical, young-onset, or focal variant (like PCA), do not expect standard clinical appointments to connect the dots. At this point I'm not sure how it's possible to get my biomarkers and focal symptoms evaluated appropriately. Good luck, but this guy and UCSD definitely aren't the answers.
