    Jumbo donair and fries
    Lily V.

Came here after being told it is THE place to go in the west end for donairs, so the anticipation was high. Ordered the jumbo donair combo with fries and a donair burger combo with onion rings. Both came to about $35 after tax and tip (corrected from my original statement, but I went back and found the receipt to confirm), so it's definitely not a cheap fast food lunch. Also - no credit cards; cash/debit only. The donair meat was ok. Not too dry, but the flavour was lacking. The burger actually had a beef patty and donair meat (I don't know why, but I just assumed it was donair on a hamburger bun instead of a wrap. Not a bad thing, just a note. The patty was unfortunately dry.). A good donair is made by having a great sweet sauce - this definitely makes or breaks it. Unfortunately, these were not coated in a good one. Too runny, not sweet enough and had a taste I couldn't put my finger on. Paprika and vinegar? Not sure, but it wasn't what we were searching for. The service is really nice. It wasn't busy at noon on a weekday. There is actually a way better donair place just a little ways away on 170 - that's a better choice.

If you were looking for that hidden gem where you can get processed meat pressed into a log, cooked on an upright spit, and then shaved into thin strips using a meat planer. Well, now you have found it. It is a small location with less than 10 tables. They are friendly and the donairs are excellent. If you order the super donair, you will not go hungry. I find the regular to be more than big enough with a ton of meat in it. The super is "Ginormous"! For those checking, yes Ginormous is a word! It is well worth your west end time to stop in and check out the station!

Yelp gave me a coupon to use for 2 combos for $20. My boyfriend and I showed up to use the coupon and they would not honour it and claimed it must have been an old coupon. I had just received the coupon from yelp earlier today. Any decent business would honour a coupon that was valid. Their food is decent but doesn't make up for poor customer service. There are plenty of better donair places to eat in the city.

Fast and Friendly! My favorite is the chicken schwarma platter. Little crispy and tender bits of chicken on top of a bed of rice with garlic sauce and a salad on the side. Yum. The donairs are pretty good and I'm not even a donair person! Ask for the sweet-hot sauce. Falafel wraps. Yum. Service is fast and it always smells good in here.

Got here close to closing so it took a little while to serve me up a donair. Nice and clean place, they also do burgers, souvlaki and kabobs. Lots of families in here so must be a hit with the kids. I went with the jumbo cheese donair and it was very good. 3 choices on sauce, sweet, tzatzikki, or garlic. They also have the typical sides like fries or Poutine. Definitely a good spot to hit up in the west end when you get that donair craving!

The ambiance and atmosphere are very warm and inviting and I can say the same about the service. Our server was helpful, friendly and informative. I ordered the beef souvlaki lunch plate which came with rice and salad as well as a choice of garlic sauce, tzatziki, or tahini. We were also offered some homemade hot sauce as well. The food tasted really good and my colleagues enjoyed theirs as well. I'd like to visit again to try more of their menu. They have plenty of dishes that would be good for sharing as well.

It is really cute inside full of trinkets from Egypt that make you feel like you are in a baazar. The owner is super friendly and helpful. Really loved the customer service. We decided on a few dishes to try. We decided on the Chef's Platter that serves 2-3 although unless you have an appetite of a lumberjack, it will feed more. It comes with - Salad, Hawawshi (flatbread filled with meat), kushari (Egypt's national dish consisting of lentils and macaroni), baba Ganooj, Musakka as well as a bunch of skewers. Chicken, beef, kabab skewers, lamb shank and rice. We also ordered Egyptian tea which was delightful. Food took a while to come out. However it was all good except the lamb shank was on the dry side which was disappointing. I really enjoyed the salad and the baba ganooj. My husband enjoyed the meat dishes. However we both loved the Hawawshi. Give it a try!

While I went with the Beef Lamb Shawarma Plate Served with white rice, hummus, garlic, salad, fries, and one pita bread. I always get a tea here, because it is lovely and strong. Food came in a fast manner, and everything was fresh. My husband wasn't too thrilled with the spice profile of the Sultan Kafta plate, and probably won't get it again. He will probably stick with something with stronger notes like the Adana Kabab (my favourite). I enjoyed mine and the meat was plentiful. We are always too full to try dessert, but they look good in the display case. Service was friendly and prompt.

This place is tucked away in a strip mall in the north end. Pretty basic on the inside, but clean. It is a little confusing though, because they hand you the menus, and then they don't say that you needed to go up to order. We figured this out, but another couple left and I think it was I think that they thought they were not being served. Thorough menu but no real vegatarian options (just salad and hummus). I was surprised that there wasn't a falafel dish. Anyway, Hubby decided on the Iraqi kabobs, kiddo 1 went with a chicken shamarma wrap, and I chose the grilled fish. Birthday girl got the fries. Food came out a bit on the slow side, but it was really busy in there. Food was flavourful. My husband and I got a complimentary soup which was rich in taste. My fish was perfectly grilled, and it came with a boatload of seasoned rice. Hubby's kababs were spicy and delicious and came with the same rice as I but also a side salad and hummus and pita. I sampled the hummus and it was delicous. Nice and creamy. Both kids were excited about their dishes. Perhaps a little on the high side for price considering the ambiance, but food was good. I would come here again.

It has so much zest! The meals include delicious humus, and kebab-shop sauce (white garlic sauce). Further they have an unreal delicious salad included, which is particularly appreciated considering most shops put little to no effort into an included salad due to it not being the main dish.
