Cruiser Coffee (Organic) - That's some bitter coffee. It's not sweet, but it has a residual candy-like taste that resembles something I can't quite recall. It's also strong--like it goes as hard as my Vietnamese coffee. My eyes started twitching about half a cup in. Love it. Fresh Orange Juice - OH YEAH. My orange juice connoisseur BFF gave it the thumbs-up of approval. We asked for a glass of ice, and it elevated the drink. Steak and Green Eggs (BFF) - Wow. Those green eggs--what's in them? What is in them? Delicious with buttered toast. The potatoes were perfectly crisp, and that steak? Seasoned so well, super fragrant, and moist. For a breakfast steak, it's great. Admittedly, it was lathered in butter. Annie's Low-Fat, High Protein Burrito - Not my favorite. It tasted a bit too healthy after that incredible steak, but as the flavor lingered, it grew on me. My favorite part was definitely the beans, which came through exceptionally clean. Lox Platter w. Everything Bagel - Exactly what the menu promised with high-quality ingredients. They were VERY generous with the capers, and I'm grateful for that. Refreshing, even with the two containers of cream cheese (I only used one). Their menu is so simple, but they've truly mastered what they serve. The service was very attentive, and our waiter was energetic and humorous. The atmosphere was pleasant and comforting--high-end without the snobby undertone. We'll definitely be back.

The pork chops are the star. One fried, one grilled because why choose? The fried chop has that crispy, seasoned crust, while the grilled chop brings a completely different flavor. Cheese eggs always hit, potatoes do exactly what they're supposed to do, and somehow the whole plate comes together every single time. I've been to The Breakfast Klub more than once, and consistency matters to me. They have never missed. Some places you visit when you're in town. Unfortunately, about 15 minutes passed and no one ever came to take our order. I never saw a server come to our table, and the owner appeared to be too busy talking on the phone to acknowledge or assist us. The restaurant itself also did not appear very clean, which added to our disappointment. Since no one attended to us after waiting, we decided to leave. As we were leaving, we politely said, "Thank you," even though we had received no service. The owner responded, "You're welcome," which felt rather dismissive given that we had been sitting there for approximately 15 minutes without being helped. Overall, the experience was disappointing. We left without ever being served and would have expected at least some basic acknowledgment or attention from the staff.

It looked like a busy morning for them, but the service moved at a reasonable pace--neither exceptionally fast nor particularly slow. My BF and I tried the Montauk Mint Collection: Mint Coconut Cream Cold Brew. Unfortunately, it landed pretty squarely in the middle for both of us. The drink had a strange graininess, and it was sweeter than I'd prefer. My BF summed it up as, "too much mint, not enough coffee." I wouldn't say it was bad, but I also can't say it was particularly great. That being said, the cold brew itself was definitely doing its job. The coffee was pretty potent, and after a few sips, I could actually feel my heart rate pick up a bit. There was also more ice than I personally prefer, although the drink didn't taste diluted, so I can understand the icy contribution. Update: The coffee gave me a stomachache a short while later. Maybe it was the dairy since I'm mildly lactose intolerant, but I drink milk pretty regularly despite that, so I'm completely unsure what caused it. Maybe the caffeine was just too strong for me--either way, my stomach was not a fan. At $7 for such a small cup, I didn't feel like the experience justified the price. We wouldn't order this particular drink again. Overall, pretty mid-tier for us.

Superica didn't impress me on a first dinner visit, but since then I've been back multiple times…read morefor weekend brunch, and each time has been consistently good. Parking can be challenging on weekends, but there is complimentary valet and a few extra spots in a lot across the street. There's interior and exterior seating, with cozy booths and tables. Service is friendly. Chips and salsa: Superica has some of my favorite chips, crispy and thin and perfectly fried. The avocado crema salsa and warm serrano pepper salsas are delicious with a mild kick. The bottled red salsa is fresh and green salsa packs a nice punch. Migas: Scrambled eggs with tortilla chips and cheese, choice of chicken versus chorizo on top, finished with fresh avocado. I really enjoyed this combination and the generous portion for the price. The eggs are well scrambled without being dry, and the pairing with cheese is proportional. The chicken was a touch dry, but some salsa solved that well. I enjoyed stuffing each component into a fresh tortilla and devouring it as a breakfast taco. Refried beans and rice: Really delicious. The refried beans are of the smoother variety without as much chunkiness, which I prefer, and topped with creamy cheese. I could have used a touch more tomato in the rice, but overall enjoyed the texture and flavor. Patatas with salsa roja, topped with egg: I enjoyed the flavors in this dish, but there was sooo much salsa. The potatoes were thus a little soggy, though still cooked well. The over medium egg was cooked nicely and complemented the potatoes with creamy yolk. Bacon: Really generous portion for $7 as a side, and cooked well. Crispy potatoes: I enjoy that these are fingerling potatoes smashed and roasted, but they could be crispier. They seem to be on the blander side on purpose to allow seasoning to taste, and I really like pairing them with the red bottled salsa provided at each table (probably due to their association with ketchup). Hotcakes: The literal star of every brunch, these hotcakes are consistently delicious. They're massive yet somehow cooked perfectly through so that they're fluffy and soft on the inside and just with a slight crunch on the outside. The pairing of the creamy warm (!!!) maple syrup is heavenly. Because of how huge these are, usually one is enough to share between two people, although they also come in stacks of two and three. For reference, we finished 3/4 of three between four healthy and hungry people and it wasn't for lack of trying. Whenever I crave weekend brunch, Superica is always a top option.

So if you don't want to pay for valet you would have to park a little further out behind the building. We started off with their Chile con Queso. Anytime I visit Houston, ordering fajitas is a must. We did just that, ordered half steak half chicken. Most places however sell it by the pound, here it seemed you only got one option and it came with one side of rice and beans. Everywhere else I've ordered these, they serve it family style. Usually everyone at your table gets their own rice and beans. No here though. Here the fajitas are offered as an individual entree. The food was very delicious though. Both the chicken and the beef were seasoned snd cooked perfectly. The chicken was very tender and the beef had a nice char to it. The grilled onions were also very tasty. Overall we were really satisfied. It is a bit on the pricey side compared to other Tex Mex, and the unnecessary use of valet utilizing the parking lot through me off a bit. Not sure I'd return on my next visit, especially when I've already enjoyed other experiences a little more. At the least the food here is delicious and ultimately will always be the most important thing.

You could easily come here for a fancy birthday celebration or just a casual lunch and brunch. I loved that I didn't feel weird having two kids under six with us. There were other families there, and it felt very welcoming without sacrificing that nice restaurant vibe. Everyone in the family really enjoyed what they ordered and the service was great! My oldest daughter had the cheeseburger with french fries and loved it, especially the bread which was nicely toasted and gave it a great crunch. My youngest had the chicken tenders with mac and cheese, and my husband really liked his stuffed poblano pepper dish. I ordered the country-fried pork with greens and mashed potatoes, and everything on my plate was delicious. The mashed potatoes were great, and the greens leaned more sweet than savory, which I really enjoyed. The fried green tomatoes were another major standout with the sauce they served. I honestly wish we had a spot like this back home! My only small critique is to skip the sweet tea. I haven't found a single place in Houston where the sweet tea was actually sweet enough for my taste, but overall, this was a fantastic spot with great service that I'd highly recommend.
