Writing this review on "National Drive-Thru Day" is apropos…read more Like sitting in your car at the drive-thru for 30-40 minutes for mediocre food? You'll love Pancho's then. The bright side is that this place is open 24 hours; so you can hit the drive-thru at anytime - especially if you are an early riser or a night owl. The lines and wait can be pretty long depending on the time of day. There is no inside service... Food itself can be hit or miss. You can order the same thing twice and have different experiences. Their burritos are my go-to as they are filling and affordably priced. They also have combination plates of tacos and rice, which are not too bad. Service at the window can be hit or miss. As of July '25 they have raised the prices on the burritos and now charge for the sauce (which is also rationed and you get one packet per order)..... Not bad if you don't mind the wait and the drive-thru ambiance...

We stopped here, off I-70, for a late lunch while super hungry and tried a variety of things. Part…read moreof the reason that I wanted to visit this location is because there were a lot of mixed reviews and that always gets me really curious! Some of the reviews indicated things were oily and not that fresh which made me super nervous since I am particularly sensitive to like really oily food. We tried a crunchy taco, the macho taco, the Super macho taco that was more deluxe with chicken, a taco salad, the nachos and the sweet cinnamon chip things, I forget their name. The taco salad was about seven dollars and was so fresh and had a generous portion of meat beans, shredded lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes in a crispy taco salad shell. My partner loved it and gave it an 8.5 out of 10. I gave it a seven out of 10 pretty good not my favorite would get again. The tostada was topped with beans, ground beef, lettuce, tomato and shredded cheese. It was wonderful and I loved it. 9/10. My daughter wanted a bite and couldn't stop eating it! The crunchy taco was amazing, probably my favorite part of the meal. It's shell was perfectly crispy and light, the meat in all of the ground beef dishes we had wasn't too oily at all but was gently spiced and didn't have a ton of "weird bits", if you know you know:) 10/10 for American style crunchy tacos. The chicken super macho taco was a tad pricier on the menu but it was fresh pleasant chicken and a great big taco wrapped in melted cheese covered soft tortilla. My partner rated it 9/10. My daughter also loved this and kept asking for bites. She got the nachos and it was a huge to go box with stadium style cheese sauce. This wasn't fancy and was topped with lettuce and tomatoes which was a nice surprise. It hit the spot but she loved the tostada and super chicken macho taco more. I tried them and loved making taco style bites with them and would rate them 7.5/10 for the style of nachos. Service was kind and helpful while we were slow with the menus and gave us large complimentary water cups upon request and were generous with the sauces on the side when we asked for extra. Ambiance I can't comment on because we used the drive thru and it was easy and convenient. 10/10 I would recommend for *simple* style offerings that have quality and fresh ingredients. This is not an authentic Mexican taqueria experience. This is not a Taco Bell experience either. But I loved it for what it was, fresh, yummy and inexpensive American taco shop offerings. 5 stars for its genre!

We loved it from the upbeat and classy decor, to our tasty dinners (husband had the roasted pork tenderloin, and I had the crab cake small plate), to our amazing server, Tammy. My husband's dry martini was perfect, and Tammy's recommendation for wine was right on target. She additionally took the time to share info about Salina and the restaurant. We strolled along Santa Fe Ave. after dinner and loved discovering a wonderful small city vibe with outstanding public art, building murals and beautifully renovated (and CLEAN) downtown buildings. What an unexpected treat we discovered. Thank you, Barolo's and Tammy, for helping us discover more of what Kansas is all about!

My husband and I were passing through Salina and staying overnight at the hotel, so when we…read morediscovered there was a Burger Theory attached to the property, we were actually genuinely excited. We have eaten at Burger Theory locations in Phoenix before and have always had fairly good experiences there, so this felt like a comfortable and easy dinner option after a long travel day on the road. Unfortunately, this particular visit wound up being pretty underwhelming. When we arrived, much of the restaurant seating area appeared closed off, and guests were being kept primarily within one corner section of the dining room. I assume this was done to simplify cleanup and staffing management for the evening, which I can certainly understand from an operational standpoint, but it also gave the restaurant a strangely restricted atmosphere. Now after a long drive, honestly almost any hot meal feels welcome. But the food itself simply did not feel up to the Burger Theory standard we were expecting based on previous visits elsewhere. The burger meat tasted under-seasoned and lacked the savory richness and flavor I usually associate with a good burger. The food also arrived a little less warm than it probably should have been, which made the meal feel even less satisfying overall. And unfortunately, the service did not help improve the experience. Our server was difficult to find for long stretches of time, and on the occasions when she was visible, she often appeared focused on her phone instead. At a certain point my husband and I mostly just exchanged that quiet married-couple glance that says: "Well... this is probably not going to improve." Needless to say, we left feeling fairly disappointed and honestly just ready to finish dinner and retreat back to the room for the evening. Not every road trip meal becomes memorable for the right reasons, I suppose.
