I got the churi pollo- chorizo, onions, grilled chicken and rice and beans served with tortillas. Great white cheese dip as well. We came here for dinner on a Tuesday. The tables in the restaurant were spaced out each other and they were all filled by customers! We ordered a small queso for appetizer and 2-people portion of shrimp Molcajete. Queso was a real deal. Very silky, smooth white cheese. Mocajete was a giant meal! We could have ordered only for one and shared! Tons of cheese, good tomato-based sauce and they didn't skimp on shrimp! So many shrimps!!! Also, they gave individual salsa bowls. First time here. Had great service and great food. Arroz con Pollo was very delicious. Staff was very good. Refilled our drinks, got extra napkins, without having to ask. Tea was pretty good. (I am a tea snob). Cheese dip was tasty and their chips were so good I love chips that are thin, not salty nor greasy. The only bad thing is the noise. The conversation level has to be super high, and then they have loud music playing to top it off. Not a good place for a romantic meal, family meal, business lunch or anything that would encourage conversation. Sad, because otherwise it's a really good restaurant. Recently got a chance to try this restaurant after wanting to for quite some time. They did a very nice remodel of the former Pizza Hut building. It is adequately lit, clean, and inviting. Standard chips and salsa to start. Salsa was pretty good, could have used just a touch of heat but not bad. I had the fajitas Mexicanas. There were pretty good, not great. I do sort of take issue with being charged an extra $1 for 3 additional tortilla, for two reasons. #1 because the tortillas themselves are very small no way to eat the whole plate of meat with 3 of them #2 no other Mexican restaurant I've ever been to charges extra for more fajitas tortillas. So that is one star off. The service was really slow which is a big part peeve of mine. I was seated by the hostess and didnt see a waitress for nearly 10 min. She came back a total of 2 times during my meal there. All told I probably spent 25 minutes just waiting for service, and it wasn't really even that busy. 1 star off for that. I will say this, with more help and a few other things this really could be a great place. For now though I'm giving it an average rating of 3. Not good, not bad, just average. read more

I struggle w places like this. The place is a revamped Pizza Hut and it is hart to remove the stamp. They did renovate and it was done ok. The entry was full of people so we ate at the bar. Our server Juan was personable and did well. The couple next to us got skipped by the kitchen and after waiting over 30 min and we got served before them but ordered well after, they weren't comped. We ordered a sampler and it was bland Mexican food but authentic. It was executed fairly well and prompt for a first week in business swamped restaurant. It was ok priced but not a steal. Went with a group of 8 which they couldn't accommodate so we had to get separate tables. However since a lot of people were in there this had me hoping the food would be outstanding. It was average. The food is pretty good most days. The restaurant is super loud and so mistakes in orders (at least our last two visits) have been made. I specify and interest in something with alterations and it didn't harm despite me saying it twice. Other than the abundance of noise, the food is pretty decent. We were visiting family and friends in Salina KS and decided to have diner here; the experience was terrible; I understand that many people panicked about COVID, but at this restaurant, they when to the extreme making the place looking worse than a prison camp. They have all the tables covered in VERY CHEAP plastic from ceiling to floor, so is the counter and the employees were all confined to this small place with only a small cut out square where you give your CC to pay. I really can't imagine the suffocation trying to eat a good grilled steak surrounded by plastic; the steam got to be unlivable; of course, I wasn't going to be that stupid to stay and find out. We placed an order for delivery that not only took an hour and a half to receive, part of the order was prepared incorrectly, and we were missing an item. When I called to get it corrected, the girl who answered the phone was extremely rude. She argued with me about what I ordered, telling me I was wrong. She offered no resolution and acted as though my complaint was insignificant. When I asked for the manager, she wasn't much better. They wanted to give me a credit for a single item. Meanwhile, they were laughing in the background. I hope the owner sees this so he or she knows what kind of people work there. Where is Undercover Boss when you need them? The motley staff was very agreeable and able to service our large party with ease. Food & beverage menus had the usual selections with a few different surprises. The difference for me is the total freshness of the condiments applied to the food served. I go on Thursday cuz of the $1.99 margaritas offered that day. We thought that we would give the newest Mexican restaurant in Salina a try and we were pretty disappointed as the food was quite bland and the service wasn't any better. I had the four cheese enchiladas and the enchilada sauce tasted like it came out of a can. My friend had the fajita chimichanga and the meat was tough and flavorless. The only thing that had any spice was the salsa which was decent. Our server wasn't very attentive, and didn't come back around until he brought the check. Needless to say, we won't be going back nor will we recommend this place. read more
