While shopping in old town Spring, my wife and I stopped into this very interesting store to see what they had to offer. Don Quixote has a very eclectic collection of one of a kind and custom- made décor for your house. They have such a wide variety of items from wrought iron doors, gates, wine bars and stools, tables, chairs, cabinets, pottery, general decorations and lamps. Now there were quite a few items that are made for very large homes but there is an equal amount of items for smaller homes. Everything is beautiful and would definitely look great in some house, though it depends on your decorating style and theme. We found a beautiful Onyx lamp that fit our style and looks great it the space we placed it. I do recommend Don Quixote Home Décor if you are looking to furnish or add to your current home. Well - I hate having to do this but my experience has not been positive here this last year. Omar has literally at this point stolen $1,732 from us. He took full payment and has not delivered on an item in over a year. It's literally been nothing but excuse and lie for the past 8 months, while we are waiting on a custom piece. He has promised a refund but hasn't followed through on it at all. I'd certainly beware if I were you. He followed up with me after I posted a review on Google, promised to send the refund immediately and has disappeared again. BUYER BEWARE!! read more

Bought a Chiminea here a few months ago...first time we used it, I notice a huge crack down the side of it....disappointing! I went to power wash the decking today and while moving it the top just snapped off...This is just ridiculous! Our previous one lasted around 15+ years. Aggressive owner, my mother parked in the back of this building because she used to work at that building. We were eating next door. We passed him going to our vehicle and he locked us in with the gate and went back inside his store. I knocked on the window of this door to his store and he came out saying why were we parked here and why was I knocking "all crazy making his dog bark". Sorry that when you're a dog, and someone knocks on a door, you bark. He continued to argue with me while keeping us locked inside the parking lot. It was an honest mistake, we knowingly locked us in so that he could confront us. He kept saying "can I close my store, can I close my store" I honestly didn't know how to respond to this human behaving this way, I've never encountered anything like this before but I'm happy to just hurt his rating for this aggressive towards women, pompous tiny business owner that'll be out of this space just like everyone else who comes into it. read more

We were highly excited to get a custom made table for our new home and it turned into a 2 year nightmare. After 2 days of using our new table it began to peel. Long story short, 3 tables, twelve chairs. They tried to make things right but each time a new nightmare began, wrong colors, wrong size, wrong table, uneven chairs and uneven tables. In the end they ended up giving us 5 extra chairs to keep due to our stress (good gesture but chairs are uneven and they tilt side to side when you sit). If you spend $4000 on any kind of furniture if should be done right, had gone to Gallery Furniture several times, now we are wishing we would have just went there. read more

Friendly service. expansive new location, and terrific products. I really love the wide array of home decor items they have to offer in this store. You will be hard pressed to walk out of there with nothing to show for it. I will say many items are very affordable, some are kind of pricey, but about what you would expect to pay in a higher end home decor store. We had an item custom made for our home recently and we are very happy with how it turned out and the quality of the workmanship. I think in the flurry of their move to a much larger location in Old Town Spring that our contact information may have gotten lost in the jumble because I ended up having to call to confirm that my item was ready to be picked up. Other than that it was a pleasure doing business with them and I look forward to being able to visit the store again. As an update to my prior review, the defendants, Omar and Sharon Cortes have still failed to make any payment on the judgment in my favor from the justice court for Harris County, Texas. I have filed among the property records of Spring County an Abstract of Judgment, placing a lien upon all real estate owned by the defendants, or either of them, in Harris County. I also ordered a public records document search concerning each of the defendants and found out that there have been many liens, including tax liens, recorded over the years involving the Cortes'. It would seem, based on the several favorable reviews customers have furnished, that these people are capable of delivering satisfactory product. But if there is a problem with something you purchase, my experience suggests it will be very difficult if not impossible to have the problem remedied or your purchase price refunded. read more

Worst thing I ever did was to enter in this store. I had my front iron door buil with them, I took them more than 3 months to build it, I give the the mortise lock from emteck that cost $500 plus they made us buy our own glass from another store, that should been a red flag but I give them the benefit of the doubt, also had them build metal doors for my custom made cabinets. The day of the installation we notice that the lock wasn't on the door and he made the wrong hole for the lock so they started making the alterations on the door to put the mortise and they broke it, and the paint got ruin on the door also they broke my cabinet, they told me he needed it the payment in full and that they will come back to fix everything so I pay him I never saw them after that, I call the store and Irma is good to give you the run around, I send them text, calls and emails I even email his wife she answered back once saying that she will talk to him. When the weather got cold that year we were freezing he didn't put Insulation inside the door like he said he did, we were so desperate we pay another guy to come to put the insulation he charged us $500 then he mentioned that the screws to secure the door are out side anyone can take them out and open the door or even take the door and to make thinks worse he bury it the alarm cable inside the door so we could get the door contact for the alarm, he gave me a 5 year warranty this is 2018 I got the door in 2013 they said my warranty is out lol they don't even know how to count five let me see 2013-2014 (1) 2014-2015 (2) 2015-2016 (3) 2016-2017 (4) 2017-2018 (5) is it 2018 over yet NO plus I think I got it installed on October plus what good is the warranty if you don't fix what you broke in the first place I'm giving you the short version of everything the other thing is they are way over priced on the decor I got some margarita glasses I pay $200 for them few months later I saw them in the carbonero store in 1960 for $5 each but I was stupid to get 6 and a pitcher for $200 plus tax. Just be careful they are really nice and promised a lot and then they stick it to you. read more

We just had a piece installed in our home and we love it. We had a rather large space above our fireplace and had a piece custom made to fit. Everything about the experience was a pleasure. Omar and Sharon were amazing - very friendly and helpful throughout the whole process - from picking out the wood color, to the install. The piece was delivered on-time and on our budget.
