The service here was super friendly and welcoming and made us feel like we were dining at a local's home! After starting with a basket of bread, we had the Spaghetti Frutti di Mare, made of spaghetti in tomato sauce, topped with mussels, clams, squid, fish, and prawns. While tasty, the tomato sauce was overwhelming in flavor and the pasta slightly overcooked. I was a much bigger fan of the Antipasto di Pesce, a plate that came with an assortment of seafood appetizers including octopus salad, two white fish spreads, a sardine topped with onions, two head-on shrimps, two mantis shrimps (canoce), a mussel and scallop baked with Parmesan and bread crumbs, and polenta topped with schie (little shrimps). We also had the Grigliata Mista di Pesce, a plate of mixed grilled seafood including a shrimp, a squid, and three different types of fish. All the seafood was fresh and delicious, though I was especially partial to the head-on shrimps and the white fish spreads!

Open late (11PM/midnight) that you could still enjoy dinner here after a full day of exploring Venice. Food: Seafood pasta - Excellent dish. It had just a hint of white wine that gave some flavor to complement the food, but it didn't need it. Fresh seafood (mussels, shrimp, clams) with an angelhair like pasta. Portion size was huge as it covered an entire plate. Fish - On our 2nd night, our table shared the sea bass. The care and attention to detail that Marco displayed in de-boning our fish helped us enjoy it even more (without worrying about bones). It came with steamed potatoes that were cooked with the fish. Seafood entree over wild rice was my entree the 2nd night. Just as good as the 1st night. Service: Marco was our server both nights and he had a positive attitude, told jokes, and really created an atmosphere that made us feel like we were native. When we asked him which wine he recommended, he simply asked our price point, looked at our entrees for the evening, said "Ok, I got it. 1 moment" and returned with a bottle from Castel San Gimignano (short drive near Florence). Excellent choice.

The staff is really friendly, they speak good English, and the service was so fast! The ambiance is a cute little bar and restaurant, and it has a nice and casual vibe. There was soccer playing on the TV, and there is seating available inside and outside. The location is connected to the Hu Venezia Camping in Town, which was really convenient since I only walked 2 minutes from where I'm staying.

One of the coolest things about this restaurant was that the menu was very friendly for people with food allergies/dietary restrictions. They had a numbering system that showed you exactly what you should expect in every dish and was really appreciated. My girlfriend had the pork shank in beer sauce, and I had the pasta with clams. I honestly don't think either of us expected the dishes to come out so well! The pork shank was large and cooked beautifully. The sauce really brought out the umami in the dish, but honestly, the potatoes stole the show. They seasoned to perfection and were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The dish had a generous amount of clams and the pasta was also perfectly al dente. We probably would have eaten here more often, had there not been so many great food options. If you are staying at the Camp Jolly, this is definitely not a bad place to try!

Blues and jazz play softly in the background while our waiter goes over the menu (which by the way is loaded with delicious options) she's very sweet and speaks English very well, which made our order a bit easier, as my Italian is non così buono (not so good) We ordered the octopus carpaccio, baked clams, and the gnocchi with smoked duck breast as starters to share. We also ordered the beef bone steak with vegetables. Every single dish left us excited for the next. Not one item was over cooked, or under spiced. Perfectly cooked is all I experienced. I would recommend this place over and over again!!! The service was excellent, friendly and were patient with our lack of Italian ;) Seating: both outside and indoor Ambiance: casual to date night classy ( we were backpacking Europe, even had our backpacks on and were welcomed in as if we were can't Cleanliness: very clean Reservations: not required Bring your appetite and be ready to try some delicious Italian dishes.
