    Shrimp tostada to go
    Courtney J.

I returned to Don Pancho about two years after my last visit, and I'm happy to report that is is just as wonderful as I remember. This time I was only in two for less than 48 hours, so I was trying to spend more time with family and opted for take out instead of dining in. It's easy to place your to-go order at the counter. Then it was only a 15-20 minute wait until our tasty treats were ready. While we waited, they said we were free to get chips and salsa from the bar, which was an added bonus. The salsas were just as spicy and flavorful as I remembered them. I enjoyed burning my face off. You can't get salsa like that here in Philly. In order of hottest to mildest in my opinion are: * dark green/brownish one * tomatillo (green but not creamy) * dark red * creamy green avocado based one * lightest red one Our food was packaged up nicely and tightly. We were given containers to get salsa from the bar to go as I had ordered chips to go as well for a little less than $4 extra. You get four small containers and one large. There is also cilantro, onions, and limes on the bar as well. For $30 we had a large amount of food for four people. We ended up having a few left overs for the drive home. The shrimp tostada and the chicken gordita are still my favorite. There are so many shrimp for $4 and the texture of the corn shell for the gordita is perfect. I hope this gem is still there next time I'm in town. They were pretty bumpin' at 11:00 AM on a Sunday last weekend, so I guess there is a very good chance it will be.

Chicken tacos are $1.75 each... They're usually on corn shells, so if you want flour tortillas you have to ask

First and foremost, this is a taqueria, which isn't your average Mexican restaurant. If you've never been to a taqueria and decide to check this place out, it sets the bar high. In short, taquerias have some of the most authentic Mexican foods that you'll ever find. Most taquerias have difficult to translate, Spanish menus, but no here. I appreciated the fact that the menu consisted of mostly pictures, they were a bit distorted, but appreciated none the less. The chips and salsa bar was awesome! They had at least 5 different salsa varieties to choose from, in addition to limes, onion and cilantro. Even the regular salsa had a bit of a kick to it, but I'm a sissy when it comes to spicy salsas. If you like spicy salsas, you'll be in heaven here. Everything on the lunch part of the menu was $5.49, so reasonably priced, especially because offer the free chips and salsa bar too. I went with the burrito platter and asked for my cheese sauce on the side. The lady taking our order had an issue understanding me, but all of our orders came out correctly. There were five of us and our food all came out at separate times, which is always completely fine with me. I'd rather they bring everything out individually, than cause something to go cold, due to the wait on the other meals. The menu didn't explain what the burrito platter consisted of, and when I asked the lady taking my order, there was a language barrier. To sum it up, it comes with grilled chicken, rice and beans, but they're stuffed inside of the burrito, along with sour cream. I was a good sport and ate it, even though I hate sour cream. Cons... The language barrier. The tile in the floor was broken in spots. The loud Mexican music. I know, the music added to the experience, but it was so super loud, that we had to talk loud to hear each other at our table.

I have been seriously been craving good Mexican food. Found this small place. The food is the real thing. Friendly service even though my Spanish is very rusty. I was very happy with the steak and al pastor tacos I had. The shrimp tostado was piled high with shrimp and the whole thing very tasty and fresh. We definitely will be back. Sad we have to drive to Morristown for good Mexican food when there are 2 restaurants here in Newport that bill themselves as "authentic "

Taco, Tamal, Chalupa and Hurache ! Everything was great.

Visiting from out of town & was skeptical to try it based on the mixed reviews...but I quickly figured it out. If you're looking for the typical Americanized Mexican restaurant, this place scared you & ordered off the menu...mistake. This is a truly authentic Latin restaurant. Order off the board and you'll experience the best street tacos, gorditas & tamales you never knew existed. All homemade and the amazing fresh salsa bar makes it even better. SO glad I came here. If in the area again will definitely be back.

Don Pancho's flavorful and hot red salsa

Lived in Texas and enjoyed superb TexMex cuisine for 15 years. This included Rosarios in San Antonio and Gonzales in Longview. Salsas with rich flavor, substantial body and some balancing heat. Meats with flavorful spices rather than salt. Don Pancho's in Morristown, TN delivers multiple fresh salsas. A red with flavor and heat. A red with sweet tomato and a roasted tomatillo verde. All three sampled and enjoyed: best since Texas! Beef enchilada was packed with small pieces of steak with spice mix; not salt. Chicken enchilada was excellent tender and moist pulled chicken with spice; not salt. Bean enchilada was made with home made refried beans. All were very high quality which seemed to be made with care and passion for authenticity. My wife had chicken tamales. Beautiful tender white masa and the same tender and moist pulled chicken. We will definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

their tacos were awesome! get the tacos.

I wouldn't recommend the flautas, I forget what they're called on the menu but they're little rolled torillas filled with chicken. BUT their tacos were awesome! get the tacos. my favorite was the steak!

The service is amazing and the staff is very friendly. Gives you a family owned feeling. We started with the Papusa's. So fresh and tasty. The masa was delicious and they were very cheesy. I could've ate this for the entire meal. I had the fried chicken on top of plantains covered in cabbage and tomatoes with salsa and drenched in a fantastic tangy crema. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Jacob had the same as I, but with beef. The ground beef was so tasty. I could eat here every week. I have never had Honduran food before, so I don't know if I can say the following statement. But, I felt like grandma was in the back making a real authentic family meal.

This place is a mix between a sparse convenience store and a hole in the wall restaurant. But, if…read moreone looks past the informality, one would see a place where workers and families stop on for some tasty, home style South American food. I picked up a burritas hondureñas, which was like a corn tortillas sandwich filled with meat, eggs, beans, cheese, and avocado. It was good but the hot sauce on the table kicked it up a notch. The papusas were everything one could want and more. Cheesy, thick, and topped with a tangy curtido. I left feeling pleasantly plump and happy to see a place like this on my quick trip through Knoxville.

We came here two days in a row for lunch and we'll always associate our time in Kingsport with Latin Love. It's that good! Family-owned with great staff. There is street parking on both sides of the street as well as around the corner. Walking in, the interior is bright and vibrant with many colors. The somewhat limited seating is all tables. We were greeted as we entered and told to sit anywhere. There was only one other table occupied at the time we got there for an early dinner. The very personable owner came by and talked to us for a while and explained the menu. We learned it is family run with their son being a trained chef running the kitchen. In addition to the excellent explanation of the menu items, they also have rotating pictures on a TV screen along the wall so you can see what you are getting. We started with a pork tamale as an appetizer. This was brought out in about five minutes. The first bite was amazing. The corn masa was very flavorful and the pork was fork tender. We could have eaten several more of these as they were amazingly good. As a lover of pupusas, my selection was one each of chorizo, chicken, and loroco filling. All three were excellent. Each was well-filled with flavorful ingredients which could have stood on their own but were enhanced in the pupusa. The accompanying slaw was excellent. There was a hot sauce available which I would rate at about a 7 out of 10, so definitely bringing the heat, but I could not stop adding to to the pupusas because it tasted so good. The chicken stew special was amazingly good. Although simple, the flavors were exceptional. The salad was crisp and fresh. Latin Love is a hidden gem which needs to be discovered. The menu continues to change so there will always be something new to try. They have a solid foundation to build on and have the passion to make sure each customer has a wonderful experience.
