I have also tried their tortas and mini tacos with soyrizo and all pastor. All yummy and quite filling! I once got their gorditas with nopales and picadillo filling..mmm. I believe my recent order were birria tacos and I decided to try a brownie. Tacos were great and wow to the brownie I swear it is the best brownie I've ever had! It wasn't too sweet and had the perfect texture! Even my mom who normally doesn't like brownies when I gave her a piece said "mmm que Rico mija!" Oh I love their aguas frescos too! The ambience is picnic tables and string lights, but it is a beautiful day out here in South Texas. If we are ever back this way again, we are definitely stopping by.

Birria (they use beef) is tender, savory, and flavorful. Birria Quesadilla and Al Pastor Quesadilla - Yum! The birria was better than the al pastor. They are small snack size quesadillas but also only $3! My favorite protein on the menu is the birria! Everything on the menu is reasonably priced and the three salsas they serve are all good. The Texan Taco~ brisket, Monterey Jack cheese, corn, cilantro, pickled onions and creamy cilantro on a flour tortilla. My husband inhaled it. Lolol. I got a tiny bite and it was very good. All of the flavors worked together so well! The Shrimp Taco~ my absolute favorite! Fried Shrimp, Monterey Jack Cheese, Sour Cream and Cajun sauce on a flour tortilla. The shrimp was fire. Perfectly seasoned. I don't know what they put in that Cajun sauce but they need to bottle it so I can take it home! Other things to note: Everything is halal They offer a veggie taco option They offer more than tacos. Ex: Ramen, Burgers, pupusas, empanadas, flautas and tamales. Churros for dessert! A big key to their success has been staying open late every day of the week, till as late as 4AM on the weekends. They pride themselves on being among the best tacos in Houston (#1) and love to showcase their chilango pride. To find them, just look for the blue truck in the Route 66 gas station parking lot along Westheimer. It's easy to miss for first timers, especially since they're not the only taqueria on wheels in the vicinity. Usually there are folks huddled around the truck during lunch time but the crowd tends to dwindle after 11pm. The waits are minimal and the staff is bilingual and friendly. While the $1.50 tacos sound like a deal, they're actually the smaller, two bite taquito (#2) versions instead. I don't mind them, even though they can be had for a $1 just further down the road. Of course they serve more than just tacos, there are sincronizadas, gorditas, burritos, quesadillas, and even hamburgers. Their claim to fame are their tortas, but it should be noted that they also sell machetes as well. The fajita meat is tasty. They've got one of the better variations that I've had along this stretch in west Houston and I would say the same for their campechano. Chicharron is also solid, as is their tripe. Their chicken and barbacoa is decent, but a slight departure from the rest of their meat lineup. I am fairly certain it's cash only. There is no outdoor seating and most everyone is doing takeout.
