Had one of the worst experiences with this dealer and maintenence department. I lived 35 miles out, they would not lend me an loaner vehicle while it took them 5 days to fix my Impala. It would take 3 days longer, because their maintence department lacked experience, but I still had to continue paying the hourly rate. I called them out on it, when I called and they still said they had none available. I would find out much later, they only lend them out to their higher valued customers such as my future MIL. just 2 days to go on my car finally getting fixed, my future MIL makes an appointment for an oil change, 4 new tires and some engine work. No problem she was in immediately and she borrowed an loaner vehicle for an full 3 days. But I was still told everyday all their vehicles were loaned out. Expect to get treated well when you spend over $170,000 over 18 months ! Was passed between 7 different people why I was treated the way I was. They do have a good sales staff. My husband got a good deal for a used Dodge Journey. Sadly we haven't found out anything about the warranty we paid for because apparently this was a Canadian vehicle and the warranty doesn't work for previously out of USA vehicles. They are the only place around that does nitrogen for the tires so they are good for that... read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My transmission arm on my wipers broke. It's under recall and this was the closest Chevy dealer to me. I was pressed for time so it was my best option. I took it in and was told wipers would be fixed at no cost. Went back to get it and wipers still don't work. They fixed a few other recall things and didn't even look at my wipers. They claimed it would be extra work. Why didn't they at least look at them? I even said on my way out "glad to have working wipers again" and the tech agreed. He never said he didn't touch then. Why would they work on things I didn't ask for but not the entire reason I came in. I knew it was a mistake to even consider going there and this confirms it.​ read more

My husband and I had car trouble while vacationing with our small children in Wisconsin Dells. My husband called to see if Don Larson Chevrolet could look at our 2013 Equinox. We inquired about a rental car and we were told, yes they have them available, but on a first come first serve basis. Not an issue, we made sure to get there early. My husband was told he would receive a phone call letting us know what the status of our vehicle was, or when it would be done. Finally, he called them when we had not received a call to see if our Equinox was ready. The service manager, the man my husband spoke to on the phone, was great. Helpful, friendly, told us the car was ready and to come pick it up. When my husband went into exchange our car for the rental, the man at the desk started flipping out, asking who called him to say it was ready, and stating he had none of the paperwork. Once the service manager finished with the customer he was with, he let the other man know he had spoken to my husband and told him the car was done. This guy did a full check on the rental car. We were told it needed to be returned with a full tank of gas, which we did provide. We filled the tank 10 miles away from the dealership on our way back to exchange the cars. My husband was told it was not full and we would be charged a fee if he didn't go and fill the tank. He put in another $1.32! This entire issue with the vehicle was covered by our GM Warranty. Had it not been for the unprofessional service we received when we went to pick up our car, I would have given this dealership more stars. It is true...one (person's bad service to customers) can ruin the good service everyone else gives. read more

We are traveling across country in a chevy van just purchased and under warranty and the check engine light came on. They said they are booking appointments 2 weeks out and wouldn't even entertain. Purchased a used 2012 Buick regal gs. I absolutely love this car. It has everything power handling creature comforts and gas mileage. The environment at Don Larson is professional courteous friendly and inviting. Mike is an outstanding salesman very efficient and completely accommodating. He listened, gave me multiple options on car selection financing and upgrades. I was really impressed and I never have said that about any previous car buying experience. I traded in my truck for a nicer truck of the same year. As part of the agreement the truck needed a new headlight. I went in once so they could reseal the lining first. Then they decided it needed a new light all together. I waited a month for them to get the part. I had to modify my work schedule for all these appointments, keep in mind. I left it with them on my appointment for 3.5 hours and then they finally told me the new headlight was broken during shipping. No expectation for why it took them 3.5 hours to figure this out. Another month goes by and I finally get another appointment. On this one I waited 2 hours and they said they ordered the wrong headlight. That's 3 appointments. Now they are having me take it to a different dealership because they can't figure it out. I told them they need to composite for my time and frustration. They insulted me with a $40 free oil change. I have owned the truck now for 4 months and still haven't got my headlight. read more

Extremely Disappointed. Never go there again...! Booked my service appointment for squeaking noise from steering and rear turn signal light bulb replacement. Asked them for the price over the phone and they told me $49 for diagnostic and $25 each for bulb change. Upon reaching there and pulling my car inside I talked with service agent (I think her name was Amanda) about the issue and told her to let me know about the squeaking noise while I was waiting there. After waited for 45-50 minutes I went there personally and she told me that their mechanics didn't found any noise from steering and also they can't replace the bulb because it was after market LED bulbs. I went for a test drive with the guy and let him listen the squeaky noise in their parking area and also mentioned him that I never replaced the bulb. It was all original part. He said that he will recheck it again, So he took the car back in and just visually check from the bottom and pulled out in 15-20 minutes. When I went there to pick up my keys she told me that I have to pay $155... I asked her why? and she replied that as they have to visually check my car two times the diagnostic charge was doubled. They only check my car visually, did't open any part of my car except oil change only which is $39.95. But I end up paying $155.91 which is not acceptable. And the Service Agent was rude and don't want to fix this issue also. I told her that when I called and booked the appointment they told me $49 for diagnostic. She said she don't know who was that person and she didn't even wants to talk more about it and gave me a receipt to sign. Sorry but you can not over charge me this much amount for just changing the oil and visual inspection. read more

The guys in the service department are really friendly and courteous. It just is kind of disorganized with the way that their service counter is laid out. This caused confusion when I was there and they drove my vehicle out without checking it. The staff need to make sure they identify themselves and introduce themselves to customers because if you call in, you have to ask for the right person. They don't have a loyalty program which most other dealers have. They have a big TV telling you about their perks and #1 on the list is that they have cookies lol. Like I say a good group of guys working there, they just need to have better working conditions and better organization. read more

Some history about my 2014 Impala. I bought from Don Larson on February 12th, 2018, and within 2 weeks began to have Transmission issues, and shifting horribly. I contacted Don Larson, and like in good Service, they replaced the Torque converter, and extended the warranty on the parts which they replaced within the Transmission. Now here I am less than a year of owning this car, and I am having transmission issues AGAIN, which Don Larson refuses to even look at. I have dealt with Mackenzie in service several times, trying to get this straightened out. Now we have several transmission leaks, it is shifting hard AGAIN, and my worthless extended warranty only covers the front Transmission gasket, and Don Larson won't cover their "Extended Warranty" on the parts which they supposedly replaced this YEAR! I have only had this car for a short time, and I am extremely disappointed in a dealership that came so highly recommended, and praises themselves on having great service. I would be worried if you buy a car from here, they do not stay true to their word! read more

Much better experience than my last visit. Mike (service manager) explained things, was more friendly and attentive. There was a check sheet this time and the sign has been fixed to tell you there will be additional charges for the oil change. Mike had asked me if there was anything else that they could do. I said if there was time a quick vacuum of my car would be great and an oil change sticker in the window would be appreciated. Both were complete!! Thank you Mike for making my experience better! I purchased a car here about one week ago. My family prides themselves on shopping as local as possible, so you can imagine how frustrated and disappointed we were when this dealership completely jipped us off. Before buying this used car we agreed with the dealer to have multiple things fixed - small things like a door handle that were worth fixing for the price they wanted - to which they agreed and "ordered parts for". We were updated throughout the week on these "parts" and the car "being fixed". After driving it off the lot happy as can be, we realized no changes were made and they had been lying to us the entire week about making the changes we agreed upon. Why lie? Why break your word and contract? It sucked! This car was $26,000, there was a warranty - 3,000 miles - so why these changes were not just made in the beginning, knowing very well we would just come back in anyway, is beyond me. In the end, they admitted to lying and we are getting the car fixed. But multiple phone calls were made, and a lot of our time was wasted. It really dampered the experience of buying this car. My first one ever, I was hoping this dealership would not follow every negative stereotype that you hear about slimy dealers, but they did.
