my wife and I have bought a 2025 Cadillac from this facility with 24,000 miles thinking this would be a flagship experience. The purchase did go well while purchasing but after purchase it has been nothing but a follow up run around my end. I know you're busy, so here are some bullet points. The sale associate had all the time in the world to sale but has not time to follow up with issues. Commented on numerous times that he is just so swamped. Working for my grandfather growing up, he taught me it's easy-to-get money up front with no problems, but when something goes wrong it's how you respond that matters. I would be more than willing to share text messages on the follow up that I've had to do on my end to support this email. The backseat needed parts ordered when we bought the car. We said we would just leave and would pick up when fixed, but they assured us that parts would be sent in quickly and we would be called. I have not gotten any follow up this has all come from me. Note inspection report showed nothing wrong with the car this has the window sticker that it went through a multiple point inspection. Brakes started to squeak and then stick at some points right after we brought home. My wife called and was told this was normal; it was the weather causing this. We have owned many cars and never have had this issue. I then proceeded to call and finally got an appointment scheduled was then emailed a totally different day and time so I called right back and they told me that it was taken that I could come in and sit for hours and wait for an appointment to maybe open. I am over 45 min away. Then proceeded to speak with Lance Wade and he called me right back and told me that I could set a time that was good for me. By the time I got home, the brakes were already squeaking again. Note : The inspection report showed nothing wrong with the car . This has the window sticker that it went through a multiple point inspection. I asked Lance what was wrong with it, He said he has no clue I would have to speak with them and then left with no further follow up. The repair gentleman stated the rotors had film on them and needed grinded down, and the brake pads needed to be adjusted. Note there is still an issue. read more

The purchasing process went smooth especially for being an out of state purchase. However, afterwards was not so great. I was issued temporary plates and told that my hard plate would be overnighted several different times. This was never done until 6 days prior to my temps being expired. Even then I had to find out by demanding to speak to someone as my salesman Dominique kept dodging me and not returning calls. My last call was 6 days prior to expiration, and I was told that a registration was sent to my local plate agency. I asked why I was not informed that this happened and was told that the agency would have called me. Come on folks, we know better than that. My point is this, I was promised plates several weeks ago. I was being ignored and dismissed after the sell. So, would I recommend purchasing from Don Franklin Ford of Columbia Kentucky? Service Department is anything but. Sales folks are quite nice. They include with your new vehicle purchase a great power train warranty, 10 years and unlimited miles. The problem is that have to get your vehicle serviced by their service department or you void the warranty. The service department will not keep track of your scheduled maintenance for you. You have to keep track of it and make sure everything is done at the proper intervals. The Service Department will not even tell you if there are any recalls or service bulletins on your vehicle. If you are having some work done and the part right next to it is worn out or broken, they won't tell you. You can go in one week and ask if everything looks good and get told everything is fine and the next week they tell you something is all worn out and must be replaced. Heaven forbid you try to express your frustration with them not fully disclosing things as they become defensive very quickly and dismiss any concerns you might have. Honestly, I regret buying my new vehicle there as I am now stuck with using their service department for the next 10 years to keep the warranty valid. read more

Well, I am reluctant to review this dealership but, I will try and give a fair and accurate one. I have a F150 that has some damage to the door. I called the dealership to see if they could help me getting it fixed. My call was directed to the Service Manager who answered the call, "Service." He tone was gruff and not professional. I asked, "Who I'm speaking with?" expecting the person to remember to be professional and come back with "Hi, I am "name", Service Manager, how may I help you? I have learned it is always good to get the employee's name. Nope, the "Service Manager" comes back even gruffer with, "SERVICE." Okay I admit, that when I had to ask the SECOND time for the person's name, perhaps a little tone of my own creeped into my voice as I explained, "I KNOW this is the Service Department but who are YOU? Please tell me who I'm speaking with. He hung up on me. Wow, times have changed. I am 70 years old and grew up when everyone was more courteous and respectful to one another. Especially employees of a business that rely on word of mouth advertisement. I was told I was being transferred to the Service MANAGER. This guy is more than just rude; he is ruining it for the Sales Department. How many customers have been treated rudely by the Manager of the Service Dept. and decided not to buy a car from THIS dealership? Oh, I understand that Don Franklin owns multiple dealerships and even if you go off in a huff and buy another brand of car; it will probably be a Don Franklin dealership that sells you that car too. After the Shining Star of the Service Dept. hung up on me, I drove on down there; not for a confrontation but to just get it straight - this is really how you do business? Well, Don Franklin himself happened to be there and came over to see what was the problem... I explained and Don Franklin said that, that should never have happened and he would speak with the Service Dept. Don went on to explain that their Service Dept. does not have a body shop. However, he did give me directions to a body shop where I could get my door problem resolved. So, Don acknowledged what I told him and said he would look into it and helped direct me to getting my door problem fixed. Rebecca W. of Campbellsville (7/25/16) had also complained of rudeness by this Service Dept. If there are no more complaints of rudeness by the Service Dept. at this dealership then Mr. Franklin resolved the issue. If there are other complaints; then you can decide if that is where you want to do business. Personally, I like Ford products and I'm confident Mr. Franklin will make corrections and continue to provide great service. I'm confident that I can go there soon to buy my son, returning home from the Marine Corps, a welcome home F150. As I hand him the keys, I'll just say, "Semper Fi son. Very friendly, seemingly good deal on a used 2016 Chevy Silverado High Country 3500HD Diesel to pull my big fifth wheel RV. Carfax shows DFF maintained it, changing the oil, etc. about every six thousand miles (112,000 total). So, I bought it and then at closing found out it was "as is", but they're a reputable dealer, and was told they knew it well and there were no issues, so I took it. Pretty soon I had concerns about tire balance so I took it to a tire shop and found out it needed four out of six, but safety is a concern so I got six. Then the battery failed, so I got a new battery. Both of these in the first thousand miles. I'm on the board of an auto dealership group in New England that has a Chevy showroom. So, while we're traveling in New England I left it with them for a good inspection. Needs airbag, a few bulbs AND HAS AN EXHAUST DELETE INSTALLED! In my opinion, no reputable dealer would deal with such a truck, or at least deal without disclosing an illegal modification. Just my opinion. Backed by a repair bill so far in excess of several thousand dollars. (and I get employee pricing). Update, just got the employee pricing quote to restore the engine to stock exhaust. $6400 and a week in the shop. Happy travels! Can I change the review to zero stars? read more

I drove 3.5 hours each way for a deal made over the phone. I told the salesman over and over I could not afford to drive 400 miles unless he was sure that he could get the deal. He assured me but when I go there he had the paperwork already drawn up for $1000 more than we said. He didn't even negotiate. The manager didn't apologize for my long drive. Nothing. Then he took all of my information for a loan application even after I told him I didn't want a loan. He told me it was for the title. Car title work doesn't need to know who your employer is and how much your rent is. ..He was new so I assume this is a practice taught to him by this dealership. read more

They had my car for over 2 months and only fixed it after i contacted Lincoln company. My battery was dead when i got my car back and it looked like they left my hood up the whole time! I have a large scratch down my drivers side back door that was not there before! I actually have pics to support my complaints but i can not figure out how to add them. To beat all.. they lied to us and said they never spoke to Lincoln, but then my concierge called them to remind them she records every phone call! Worst dealership for service!! read more

I had scheduled an appointment for servicing my ford vehicle, We arrived early and found that the paper work was not even started, the service rep did not seem to be organized at all. My car had still not moved 1 hour after the appointment time, I also requested a full synthetic oil change not, the usual blend of oil, this did not happen, when asked why they did not do as asked their answer was that the full synthetic costs more. I have no problem paying the extra as I have done my homework and believe that the full synthetic is a better oil. I was very upset with the poor attitude displayed by the service personal, I will be looking for another dealership to service my vehicle. read more

I recently bought a 2008 GMC Canyon "As is". I totally understand what "As is" means but the salesman lied to us. We were told the 4 wheel drive was in perfect working condition & it isn't. If you get it in 4 wheel drive, you can't get it back out. Also, we noticed that the computer was telling us about a problem with tires. The salesman told us this was just an adjustment as tires needed air. I did more than put air in tires, I bought new ones. It was another lie about the truck. I find out it needs $400.00 worth of parts to fix it. AND they charged me $60.00 to tell me this! Also, we weren't told about the heat/AC problem. When I called about this I was told it was my problem. I told the person who was handling this problem how we were lied to about this vehicle & he basically told me it was my problem & Don Franklin wasn't going to do anything to help me.
