My haircut was about 3/4 done before he finally was called - it was about 45 minutes after our reservation time at that point. The haircuts themselves were decent and the location is clean but the long wait was a huge turn off. Also, there are better barber shops in the area that offer a hair wash, styling and massage for less than what they charge here for a basic cut. They shouldn't accept reservations if they can't honor the time.

No tengo licencia de esteticista, pero cualquiera que corte el cabello de una mujer sabe lo que son las capas largas y lo que significa que no sean cortas. Sobre todo cuando has indicado lo largo que quieres conservar. Mi padre le hizo saber al propietario -el cual no se disculpó ni dijo nada en absoluto. No había ningún sentido de empatía o demostraban que les importaba. ¡La mujer sabe cuánto tarda en crecer el cabello y cortarlo más de la mitad es un cambio drástico! Esto es inaceptable y algo que debe tenerse en cuenta, especialmente siendo el propietario a quien recomiendas para cortar el cabello de tu cliente. His shop is located in about 4 minutes walking distance from the arc, the famous landmark in Avenida Revolución, direct in the center of the Zona Norte. It's a tiny shop, not fancy at all. It's a typical Mexican barber shop, so do not expect a location that's like a barber in a 5-star hotel. But you'll get a 6-star barber. Luis makes the difference! I never had a better barber in my life. He speaks English and Spanish and he is the friendliest guy I ever met. And that in a profession, where nearly all the guys are friendly! His haircuts are outstanding and it's a pleasure to get a close shave.

I tried walking in and was told the wait would be 20 minutes, so instead I made an appointment and came back. The lady who cut my hair was very friendly and attentive to my needs. She was patient and checked in to make sure she was cutting the right length. Without asking for it, I also got a back massage, a hand massage, my nails clipped and a quick facial. The hot towels put me to sleep. Complimentary drink offered, but soda or water only. All this for around MXN 350 (about $17 US).
