Today, that curveball came in the form of a single, forlorn wing in my 10-piece order that looked like it had gone a few rounds with a very hungry boxer. The bone was practically gleaming, picked clean like a Thanksgiving turkey carcass. Did they think I wouldn't notice? Did a rogue chicken only grow one wing? The world may never know, but one thing's for sure: next time, l'm counting those wings before I leave the parking lot.

I called and spoke with the manger, Carla, she stated she could give me a new batch of chicken if I drive back from my home in Mission. I asked her why the cashier, Paula, didn't just sell me fresh hot chicken to begin with and she couldn't give me a direct answer. What a waste of time and money. They knew they were selling cold chicken and didn't even care to tell the consumer. Pathetic service and management!! Never again will I stop here. Thanks for selling me dog food Carla.

They still do all the cooking in the food trailer out front and bring it in to the tables. They serve some Tex Mex, Burgers, Hotdogs and wings from the looks of their menu. The back page of that menu is chock full of Raspas and milkshakes. They started us off with fresh tortilla chips and a salsa verde that had a nice kick! Very tasty!!! The wife and I ordered a Valley Dog which is a 1/4 pound all beef hot dog served with their Three Bean Chili, onions, Crema and a few other ingredients I can't recall. It was very good. The dog in particular rivaled any other dog I've ever eaten. As a combo it came with fries and a drink. Others in our group ordered tacos. One ordered the Birria Tacos and said they were LOADED with juicy, tender Birria meat and he loved the consume that was served with it. A couple others in the group ordered the Variety Taco plate with chicken and bistek tacos. Everyone seemed to like their meals except one person that seemed to have burned her mouth on the salsa verde and wasn't enjoying her meal. I DID warn her that the salsa was pretty hot as I know she has a low tolerance for spice/heat. The other member of our group ate the Valley fries which are loaded with a whole lot of things like chili, salsa, crema, avocado.... He polished off that order in pretty near record time lol. Prices are reasonable enough as our two Valley Dog Combo meals came to $24 with tax. Next time I might try some wings or maybe those Birria Tacos... it all looked so good.

I basically wanted eggs hashbrowns , ham and toast. That wasn't available so I ordered the big meal to get what I wanted. Starting with the eggs, I ordered basted and stated that I wanted runny yolks. Well, the yolks were sorta runny. The eggs were small'ish, maybe medium. The hashbrowns were the rehydrated sort and not very good either. The bacon was limp and tasted of heavy liquid smoke, the sausage links were tiny and overdone/dry and the thin little piece of ham always dry and tough. The toast was kind of buttered on one piece but not the other and only one piece was slice diagonally. The other was not sliced through. The pancakes were cool when I received them. Even the butter on top didn't melt. Plus they were tough. I remembered why I seldom go to a Denny's when I began eating the food. So 4+ for service and 1 for the quality of food. I won't be going back. The only reason I went there was because my usual small family owned restaurant was shut down because they had a water leak and were closed for a few days. Lesson learned. Plus my meal with OJ was nearly $19! Usually my meal with OJ is about $12 and much better quality.
