Not only was our pizza not ready they hadn't even started making it. 7:45 rolls around and the pizzas again aren't ready again, and again they haven't started making our pies. Another family at the bar was also waiting for their pizza for 2 hours. I understand the circumstances of 4th of July and a pizzeria being busy around this time and having trouble managing orders. But, this should be something the restaurant should be prepared for because they know it is coming. Not being truthful and misleading guests about when their food will be ready to the point they leave empty handed is wrong.

We got the Delight Pizza with olives on side, extra sauce, thin crust. We had the pizza I'd say in maybe 12 minutes. It was DELICIOUS! We are from Iowa camping at Indian Shores for 9 days. Lisa the bartender waited on us. She was running her butt off, pregnant as well, doing a great job. I was going to buy a T-shirt but since they don't say "Wisconsin" on them I did not. You should add that! We sat by Jenifer at the bar who's from Alaska but lives here now & goes to this place several times a month. She also loves your pizza. I forgot to take a picture of the pizza!

My…read more92 year old father loves Monical's and doesn't get there often, perhaps if he'd been a little faster in the parking lot with his walker he would have made it by 8. Totally fine if that's their policy but the (clearly unhappy and hates life) grey haired woman was so rude and shouting after us as we left. We were disappointed, for sure, but didn't need the added side comments about her having children and wanting to get home. Or "if it made us feel any better they took the last order at 7:45" I was holding the door open for my dad when she made the comment about children, one hand high on the doorframe, and shrugged while sort of tossing both hands in the air...at which point she started claiming to other customers I flipped her off. I would never imagine doing that to someone!!!! Extremely odd behavior when all I said in the exchange was that it was 8:04. Also worth noting that the dining room was 60-70% full, the bar had 6 people in it and food was still coming out. We didn't walk into a sleepy night with an empty restaurant asking for a table, the parking lot was full and business seemed to be steady. I've worked for really nice restaurants in Minocqua for years and would have been fired immediately if I ever spoke to customers like that. Crazy what some businesses consider acceptable behavior by their staff. Or perhaps she was an owner? Not sure. Won't return.

One of us ordered a pizza, which was served rather quickly and was very tasty. One of us ordered chicken wings. Another person ordered a hamburger. Four of us ordered fish--three cod dinners and one walleye dinner. There was a delay of more than 40 minutes between when the pizza, hamburger, and wings were served and when the fish arrived. However, only three of the four fish dinners were served. The waiter informed us that there were only two cod dinners available, so two of us split one of those dinners. Fry bread was supposed to be served with all the fish dinners, but only one of the three fish dinners included fry bread. When we all finished our dinners and were ready to leave, the waiter brought the third cod dinner, after we had been told no more cod was available. I refused to pay for that last cod dinner, which the hostess agreed to. The Flame is an excellent facility in a very nice location. It's too bad that The operators have serious problems with inventory and communication.

The inside is extremely spacious and has a beautiful 360 bar, which is a great hangout spot for watching any and all Wisconsin sports teams. Although I haven't had their pizza in quite some time (it's delicious), I'd really like highlight their sandwiches. I've tried almost every sandwich on the menu include their occasional special sandwiches (prime rib sandwich is incredible). Each sandwich comes with your choice of potato (I believe they make their own chips from scratch?) and the portions on both the side and the sandwich are mind blowing. The Reuben for example is piled so high with meat there has to be at least 11 slices inside making it about 4" tall with the bread on top. If you get the steak sandwich, it comes with a giant pile of deep friend onion straws and horse radish. The steak is always cooked to perfection and is extremely tender. If you're a fan of Tribute Brewing in Eagle River, they carry a few of their brews on tap! My favorite is Blueberry Train & it pairs surprisingly well with pizza. I genuinely love this place, but I have to warn you that like most places up here, service can be slow. If you're new to the area or not used to having to wait a bit for service, it may come to a shock to you but there's a labor shortage here so please be kind to all restaurant workers in the North Woods, ESPECIALLY during tourist season.

The family lived the chicken strips and bone in versions of the original. Biscuits received high praise, and thanks to the young man at the counter that added a few complimentary honey sauce packets. The coleslaw was good. I'm wondering if it a hint of pickles in it. The winner side was the Mac n Cheese. It was creamy with a nice layer of melted cheese that must have been on top before being scooped up.
