Our server was friendly and prompt. However it took a long time for the food to come out. It mainly focuses on steak, pizza, and pasta. My husband decided on the mountain extra special pizza - pepperoni, ham, mushroom, green pepper, onion, olive, tomato & shrimp. I splurged and got the French Onion soup and the Bison Ribeye which was 48.65. I chose the spaghetti for a side. Food came slow which was interesting because we were basically the only ones there. However, the food was amazing. That bison steak was so delicious and perfectly cooked. The spaghetti was generous and flavourful and the soup was rich and tasty. My husband enjoyed his pizza. Worth the stop on a roadtrip.

There were no fast food restaurants on our route to Hinton for almost 2 1/2 hours after passing Red Deer. Service was nice and friendly. The guy who took my order recommended that I get the Double Teen burger. My wife got her usual chicken burger. Although I'm an old guy, the teen burger was the perfect burger for me as it came with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. The chicken burger? My wife said she had better. A&W was a good place. Stick with the root beer and burgers and you'll be fine.

As we walked in the friendly owners offered us a sample of a fresh donut and pointed to the chalk board for the menu. There isn't a huge variety of menu items but that's good because a small cafe can't make dozens of different dishes and make them all good (or affordable). You can order soup, sandwiches, wraps, and lots of different pastries because it is a bakery cafe after all. We both ordered the breakfast sandwich. It's a lot bigger than it looks. There were certainly two eggs in each sandwich and maybe even three plus some ham and sauces. On this extremely hot July day the cafe's air conditioning was just what we needed. We did order coffee on this hot day because we hadn't had our coffee fix yet today. The coffee was very good. If you are looking for breakfast or lunch or just a treat to go, I recommend Shekinah. Oh and there are lots of tables too.

The washroom was decent and the service was good. The staff member we interacted with checked in with us frequently. It wasn't busy when we were there most recently.

At the end one person had their bill paid for twice but she claimed we hadn't payed for ours, she proceeded to go print a new receipt which she specifically said wasn't possible because all the bills were printed correctly. The last person ended up paying $40 extra dollars due to the 'unpaid' bill. I would highly not recommend going here.
