Little Taste of Chicago A divey little joint tucked inside a…read morerun-down gas station with no parking lot and a few broken windows. It was 41° outside and there was no heat inside, and the bathroom was out of order. But you know what? The food came out hot, fast, and with a smile. The wife said her burger was good--nothing special, but solid. My Chicago dog, on the other hand, was delicious. Sure, it's just a hot dog, but it hit the spot. The fries were perfectly cooked--crispy on the outside, soft inside, and served piping hot. There's nothing fancy or "above and beyond" here, but if you're after perfectly cooked comfort food served with genuine friendliness at a bargain price, Little Taste of Chicago is your place. My only regret? Not ordering two Chicago dogs.

If you live in this general area (Memphis and south of Memphis), you've come to expect not to have good service. Lesson learned - again!

I am from New Orleans lived in Chicago and frequent Popeyes all over the country…read more This batesville, MS location was tha MOST ratchet Popeyes I have ever encountered. It took a while for anyone to even acknowledge us at the counter.... Zero sanitary practices... bathrooms were a mess. Ordered chicken fingers to be safe... our order of chicken fingers was supposed to be mild and several were spicy. The red bean... how can you mess this up? Didn't taste anything like it should. Depressing. I watched a lady take the mashed potatoes scoop bang it on the counter and stick it right into the rice. Work spaces were a mess. Yall... ratchet. Based on the picture you know NO one is washing their hands... plus all the hand sanitizer was out. Bless the nice boy with dreads who took our order. He seemed kind and was trying to do a good job but that place was a disaster. This place needs a complete overhaul. Popeyes is way better than this. Send help.

We placed an order for a to go pizza before we went to see a play next door, and it was ready at the perfect time! For seating, we were able to find a table but were a little bit cramped. I would recommend calling and getting a reservation for a larger party if possible! They used to have an upstairs for seating, but when we came in they didn't seem to offer it to us! I'm not sure if that's something they stopped during Covid and maybe never opened back up? Our favorite is the Magnolia Rosa, which has salad on the top! It does have pecans on it, so if someone has an allergy in your party be sure to be mindful of that! The dough has the perfect texture and not too dense. We really enjoyed our pizza and one large fed three of us perfectly! We will definitely be back!
