I rarely eat at Domino's, but I decided to give them a shot with it being late at night in my hotel room, and few options to eat nearby. This is their Chorlton location.
I did find the food to be really expensive compared to even restaurant prices, sometimes I feel Domino's price their food high on purpose to make the customer think they're getting a good deal when using one of their many promotional offers, which ultimately leaves the customer buying a lot more food than they intended just to get a "good deal".
The staff seemed friendly enough when I telephoned them to confirm my location, as for some reason my hotel wasn't appearing in the "Select an Address" menu and the delivery notes section had a character limit.
With Domino's recently launching a new gluten-free pizza base, I was decided to try this, especially considering they had run a limited menu for so long which didn't cater for coeliacs. I was only able to choose from a small selection of pizzas, I wasn't able to add my own toppings or order one of the specials which was frustrating.
I did like the new gluten-free base overall, I found it to look better than the previous one, and it's a little larger too, but the pizza overall just wasn't good, it wasn't hot, it was lukewarm, and was rather greasy. I could only stomach half of it.
2* - I don't rate Domino's highly at all, based on this experience of overpriced, cold, greasy pizza, I wouldn't return unless it was a last resort. read more
