They're conveniently located off of I-10 eastbound with plenty of parking. The waiting area is spacious and clean. They have free Wi-Fi. The staff are top notch, from reception to hygienist to dentist. There are TVs to numb your mind in case the Novocaine isn't sufficient. Their hours are enticing and include Saturdays! If you have your dental cleanings performed here, they offer free teeth whitening. Normally, they require you to purchase dental trays, but I already had some, so they kindly offered the whitening kits regardless. Excellent!

I've tried calling twice after 3pm and no one answers. I also got about 5 reminders of my appointment leading up to the actual visit. When I walked in, there's a clipboard that says to sign in, so I did that while the girl behind the desk sees me writing my name down. 10 minutes go by without her acknowledging that I signed the clipboard. Not to mention, another patient walks in and another front desk person says "you don't have to sign in, I'll just check you in myself". So I stand in line after them and when it was my turn, I say "I signed in on the clipboard but it doesn't seem like anyone is checking that". She asks me for my name and checks me in. I get called back shortly and Debbie sees that I'm pregnant and says "you're pregnant?" ... so I made this very clear when I called to make the appointment, as well as when I called to confirm the appointment. I also wrote in the online questionnaire about a month in advance. I'm guessing they don't read that because Debbie was surprised. She then asked me if I had medical clearance from my doctor. So I told her, "I was never told I needed anything from my doctor when I called to make my appointment and told them I was pregnant. Also when I filled out the questionnaire, no one called to tell me I needed this. It would've been nice to know since I was at my doctor's office this morning." I ended up sitting in the office for over an hour and ended up not having any work done at all. They kept me waiting until i decided I would just come back for my cleaning and filling. Then Debbie said "your doctor said it'll take up to 24 hours to get the form back". Then why am I still waiting here if you knew that? I'm wondering how long they would've kept me if I kept sitting there without saying anything. When I finally came back for my actual cleaning and made appointments for my family, they will bill EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN. They didn't even touch my one year old daughter's mouth, and even after insurance, I still had to pay almost $100 for them to just look at her for 2 mins. I understand children can be difficult, but when I got the bill and saw every little thing they billed, I will not be back.

He could not do a basic simple filling and my tooth in the end looked like it had a split in the middle. You can see where he did the filling and my tooth appeared like it had a bump on one side and uneven on the other side. I paid for a four surface filling and received a lazy and juvenile attempt at a filing. Someone in dental school would have performed a better filling. I went to a different dentist to fix the problem because if he was not able to notice the problem in the first place, he would not be capable of fixing it. Such a shame. This place used to be good.

Now, I called to inquire about clear liners and they gave me a free "consultation" and 900 off of the price. I was told they would take scans, work up a plan, all of that. They did nothing. She said I had 1 upper from and 2 lower that needed to be fixed just by looking in my mouth. Was sent to the front desk and given a clear correct D8090: ortho, for those who don't know as I didn't that means they quoted me a long term maximum billing code for a mild case. When I brought this to their attention, they brushed me off and said "you'll get the same price anywhere you go." That's a clear sign to get out of there. Ridiculous. If you're looking for any type of ortho corrections I recommend staying away from this place. They're cutting out insurances also so really pay attention here. Using 900 off to get people in to pay full price for moderate cases is distasteful to say the least. Gross.

(It's always best to review your policy and the dental office policy pertaining to certain group insurances prior to having any dental proceedure done). While I was disappointed that my insurance wouldn't be accepted... I knew if I wanted to continue going there ALL COSTS will be out of pocket. Guess what? I don't care. I can go elsewhere and pay MUCH less... through insurance. So why don't I do that? Because I've always received excellent service, and a gentle touch by caring dental professionals at Leon Springs Family Dental. For me when it comes to my family and myself I will always demand the VERY BEST. Dr. Cherie and her staff definately meet and exceed such criteria. Bottomline...
