I hope this doesn't turn into a novel but i cannot say enough good things about this office. I randomly woke up with bad tooth pain 2 weeks ago and immediately called my dentist, they got me in same day and i was referred out to Vaughn Endodontics since it is a recurring problem on a tooth I've already had a root canal on as well as a crown. I was told this office has newer and better technology to be able to see and get better images to make the call whether my actual tooth was salvageable with another root canal or if it would be best to extract. I called the office immediately leaving my dentist (still in excruciating pain!) and wasn't expecting them to be able to get me in at 9am the next morning. The front desk said they would need to work me in in between schedules which i had no problem with, i was so grateful they got me in so fast. I got put in a room pretty quickly for being an er case, i figured I'd be there all day. Chloe and Dr. Vaughan were so incredibly nice!!! Chloe and i chatted during my whole time there about books and it was like catching up with an old friend. Dr. V also keeps google on a great oldies station so we talked about the music too that was playing throughout the office. The kindness and friendliness was much appreciated to get my mind off this whole tooth ordeal. They explained the procedure and what was going to happen very thoroughly. They made sure i was comfortable the whole time with my pain and just made the whole visit a breeze. At the end i was given a pamphlet with information on what was done as well as after care and pain management and contact info. I was shocked to see that the doctors give out their personal numbers for emergencies but this turned out to be a blessing! A few days after the first procedure i was still in horrible pain so i reached out to Dr. V (it was a Friday and before a holiday weekend so i needed to try to figure something out with that pain) he was very nice about it and did not make me feel like a bother. He was able to prescribe me a stronger antibiotic and within hours i picked up from the pharmacy and by the next afternoon i could tell a huge difference. I went back today for the root canal itself and it was just as great of a visit. It was painless, i got to chat with another sweet assistant the whole time and it was a pretty quick visit once he got started. I was actually sad i was done after this! Lol i wish they could be my normal dentist office:( i am so grateful to this office for taking care of me in an emergency situation. I'm now 6ish hours after procedure and i have no pain whatsoever. If the need ever arises i will always return here for any further Endodontic care as well as referring anyone in need. Thank you Dr. Vaughn and staff! read more

I first spoke to Alexis, she was welcoming and suggested Dr. Benjamin after speaking with her about my situation. Had my consult and he talked about my options and thoughts but wasn't pushy. I scheduled my appointment to have the procedure, which ended up getting rescheduled 2 times due to the freak weather that we had. Day of the surgery went well, he followed up that evening to make sure I was doing well and then his assistant, a few days after that. It was my first root canal, and from an entire lifetime of hearing horror stories I was prepared for the worst. I didn't have one second of pain or discomfort, and the procedure was fast and precise! This office got me in right away and after the exam it was determined I did need a root canal. Monica and Dr. Eitter were OUTSTANDING! It was never explained to me that in the first visit after a root canal you have to get a crown until my NEXT appointment. Thinking I paid so much out of pocket also thinking it was a permanent feeling. Let me start off by saying, you can't get any better than this when it comes to endodontics. No pain is important, but I really feel like here is more quality of service. THEY REALLY TAKE CARE OF YOU. My root canal journey: had someone from uthsc work on my teeth, wasn't a good job at all, traveled to the opposite side of the world and the dentist there covered up the root with incompleteness no matter how many countless time I went, I had heard about Dr. Vaughn from family and he is so caring that he actually took the time to figure out what was wrong with one of my roots. It was also not a long wait time to get my appointment in which is unheard of in San Antonio. You do have to call first to make an appointment. I don't think they take walk-ins. The staff: There wasn't one person NOT smiling in this office. It's was crazy to see how friendly everyone was. I go to their office and it's all good vibes with very cheery and beautiful ladies. The office: Super clean with all the happy magazines and books to keep you company. They have high tech everything with all the latest and greatest machinery. I won't even try to name their machinery. Dr. Vaughn: I have a thing with scary looking dentist and he is NOT scary looking at all. In fact he is the opposite. Looks aside, I can say caring, a quick thinker, definitely aware of your pain 100% of the time you are there, and he tells you every single thing that he is doing so your aren't guessing. Amazing. I went to my dentist for a toothache and ended up being referred for a root canal. I had never had one of these so was very nervous about it. Dr Vaughn's office staff got me in the same day and the procedure, although lengthy, went smoothly with very little discomfort. I was undecided whether go to a PPO Doctor or a non-PPO doctor, not on my insurance approval list. Dr. Saeed Bayat is a non-PPO. I knew very little about PPO doctors. I decided to do research on PPO Doctors and non-PPO Doctors (Endodontics). After much research, I figured out that Dr. Bayat charges on my two-root canals were a lot less than the PPO Doctor. Dr. Saeed Bayat is thorough, kind, well organized, and does great work. His staff is as well well organized, kind and helpful. I've never had a root canal, so I was very nervous (you hear they are so awful!) I had an infection in my tooth from an injury and needed one. He got me right in (that same day my dentist confirmed I needed one!) It did not hurt one bit (even less than fillings). And now my gums are all nice and pink again, no more pain. I have 7 root channels, the last three Dr. Vaughn did. I would have liked to meet Doctor Vaughn from my first root channel. I went to 4 other dentists who did my first 4 root canal. Doctor Vaughn did the last 3 root canal, he is the best doctor for root canal, I felt no pain, He has a special energy that takes away all the fears of going to the dentist from the patient. He explains everything very well, my first language is Spanish and he has the patience to repeat and explain everything in detail. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Vaughn and his staff. My journey to a healthy chomper has been a long and grueling one. I was referred to Dr. Vaughn for root canals by my regular dentist. I have learned the hard way that you just cannot trust your regular dentist to do endodontic work - even if they say they can. Dr Vaughn is excellent! I was nervous as I have never had a root canal before. He was so comforting, explaining what would be done and that he did not want me to be in pain. I felt no pain at all! Today is Friday 12/16/16. Wednesday night I had trouble getting to sleep because of some discomfort in the left side of my head. I thought possibly an earache, throat issue, possibly a tooth problem. During the night the pain isolated enough so I knew it was definitely a tooth. Thursday morning I called my dentist and described the pain and area and over the phone we figured out I would need to see a specialist. I had seen Dr. Vaughn about four years ago for a similar issue. I called, got an appointment for an assessment the next day, 7:20 AM! If you are hurting, Dr Vaughn will find a way to help. They had a full schedule since for many today is the last day before Christmas Holiday. His staff was able to fit me in and by noon I had completed a root canal in a tooth with a crown. No small task, but no problem for this team. I mentioned a previous situation where I was an emergency walk in and even then they treated me like a life long patient.
