I hope this doesn't turn into a novel but i cannot say enough good things about this office. I…read morerandomly woke up with bad tooth pain 2 weeks ago and immediately called my dentist, they got me in same day and i was referred out to Vaughn Endodontics since it is a recurring problem on a tooth I've already had a root canal on as well as a crown. I was told this office has newer and better technology to be able to see and get better images to make the call whether my actual tooth was salvageable with another root canal or if it would be best to extract. I called the office immediately leaving my dentist (still in excruciating pain!) and wasn't expecting them to be able to get me in at 9am the next morning. The front desk said they would need to work me in in between schedules which i had no problem with, i was so grateful they got me in so fast. I got put in a room pretty quickly for being an er case, i figured I'd be there all day. Chloe and Dr. Vaughan were so incredibly nice!!! Chloe and i chatted during my whole time there about books and it was like catching up with an old friend. Dr. V also keeps google on a great oldies station so we talked about the music too that was playing throughout the office. The kindness and friendliness was much appreciated to get my mind off this whole tooth ordeal. They explained the procedure and what was going to happen very thoroughly. They made sure i was comfortable the whole time with my pain and just made the whole visit a breeze. At the end i was given a pamphlet with information on what was done as well as after care and pain management and contact info. I was shocked to see that the doctors give out their personal numbers for emergencies but this turned out to be a blessing! A few days after the first procedure i was still in horrible pain so i reached out to Dr. V (it was a Friday and before a holiday weekend so i needed to try to figure something out with that pain) he was very nice about it and did not make me feel like a bother. He was able to prescribe me a stronger antibiotic and within hours i picked up from the pharmacy and by the next afternoon i could tell a huge difference. I went back today for the root canal itself and it was just as great of a visit. It was painless, i got to chat with another sweet assistant the whole time and it was a pretty quick visit once he got started. I was actually sad i was done after this! Lol i wish they could be my normal dentist office:( i am so grateful to this office for taking care of me in an emergency situation. I'm now 6ish hours after procedure and i have no pain whatsoever. If the need ever arises i will always return here for any further Endodontic care as well as referring anyone in need. Thank you Dr. Vaughn and staff!

It is worth any distance to drive unless you're near by then great. I had the X-ray things done and had everything everything explained to me as far as what was going on. The place is clean which it should be. Pain control was taken care of during the procedure. I looked like a chipmunk but at least there was no pain. Tylenol worked fine afterwards. The matching for my bite was perfect. This is a hidden gem and I located them at first on the Ameritus Dental website. Parking is more spacious in the back but some handicapable spaces in the front. If your a dentist then don't hesitate to refer patients here. They will treat your patients with the best care and respect. I never want to come back but if I ever need to I will come here.

The dentist who owns Oakhills endodontics who is Scott Janse refused to allow me in with my service dog who is required to be with me due to low blood pressure and low blood sugar and therefore denying my right to receive services based upon the medical disability. Mr. Janse I hope you enjoy a medical board complaint case filed against you as well as with TDLR. You do not have the right to refuse someone service because they have a service dog for a medical condition that exists. Federal and state law make that very clear and lastly what a very disgusting way to disrespect the spouse of a military person who has served 30 years in the Air Force. My husband will never again be returning to your office for any kind of services knowing that you have treated me this way.

I ended up paying $200 out of pocket and I was quoted $1300 for a root canal to fix my tooth. I ended up finding a different endodontist within network and I had to get another scan done anyway (yay) turns out it was needed because Dr.Munoz at Vaughn endodontics completely misdiagnosed my very obviously cracked tooth. So not only did he make me think my tooth could be saved but he was not sure when this other doctor could see if from the scans I got done the second time! Don't come here, they will not check if you're in network and their scanners are outdated and don't catch fractures in the tooth. My 2nd opinion Dr literally crumbled up their $200 "note" and threw it in the trash because it was useless to him

They dutifully take a lot of x rays of your teeth, the full mouth scan and then they place you in a room, alone with images of what they have scanned. It took me a while to realize that what I was looking at was my mouth because my teeth looked absolutely terrible. They use some kind of weird lighting trick to make your teeth look very yellowed. My teeth are not that horrible and are nice to look at. I wrote on their sheet that I was overall pleased with my smile. Then after viewing that screen for a while, about four females came into the room and said I had heavy bone loss and their clinic couldn't even do a routine cleaning. They wanted to refer me to a bone specialist like the specialist could restore my bones! They also talked about dentures and I flat out told them, I would NOT be receiving dentures. Oh, and another thing. At the end of the visit, they give you a looooong list of things you can buy or procedures you can have done to your mouth. I looked at the final cost and it was about four thousand dollars. Yup! You read that right. I will never return.

My dentist was also amazed at how fast I was able to get my root canal done and I told him thanks to google I was able to find a endo in no time this morning. Both my dentist and my new endodontist dr.Sakr cannot wait to meet each other. And perhaps build a professional bond in the dentistry together to help each other out with clientele. I highly recommend Dr.Sakr. and Benjamin Vough is my dentist at Life smile dental studio on bandera rd. Dr.Vough will have to just do the operation for my zirconia crown on my tooth but I have that set for October so that i can give my root canal time to heal and avoid any further pain issues before he place the permanent one. I do plan on extending his clientele as well by spreading the word and perhaps placing his business on other sites if he is not already added. He was not added on Yelp so today 8/23/22, I added his business on here.
