Apparently the company was sold but no updated emergency call number was given to me. Which I should of done last year Before we start Note I use 2 other Security Companies For 2 other residential locations And have NOT incurred 1 problem in either home for years! I also have 4 homes 4 cars and a load Of great credit to the point that $194 Will not even effect my credit in a any way. So if I choose to NOT pay for the Invoice in question you can try and get it Another way. Recently our service went out for 3 weeks and we Never received NOTICE from your company that there was NO Communication between your security company and my house. We upgraded our service as per Doug's request Thinking it would Put us back on line. Why this is something you needed to come out to my house for IDK and it should and could've been done from your location We had NO Alarm Service We lost 2 camera out of 4!!!! We Still haven't had all 4 working 2 years!!!! We now have NO Cameras over a month!! Your team can't fix shit and has to come to house every time something is wrong? ( that will be in that review too) So you can charge me again?? We were scheduled for you to come and try?? WTF try we are in 21 century To fix 2 out of 4 camera's that never worked to begin with!!! And you gonna charge me again For something you can't get working! I may just copy this and put it in line!! UPDATE: After filing a lawsuit and appearing in local court, the refund was issued. The comment…read moreleft by the business owner below is a direct contradiction of the court order. ********************************************************************************** A representative Liberty Security Services (Ryan Hoy) was introduced to us by Sutton Electric as a contractor to provide remote controlled thermostat capabilities. Although Liberty seemed only to specialize in home security, Ryan insisted that environmental control was something they did. Ryan's team installed three battery powered thermostats with Z-Wave communication controls via remote application. The device continually displayed incorrect temperature information and was unable to remotely control any of the devices. We contacted Liberty numerous times where we were told that everything seemed to be working on their end. We continued to try and use the application to no avail. Four months later, during yet another call to Liberty, they offered to send out a technician to see what the problem was. The technician indicated that the devices were not connected to the internet during the initial install and, as such, were non-functional. As requested, we had emailed Ryan our internet credentials to connect the devices, but this was never done. The technician connected the devices. At that point, we expressed disappointment, but did not request a refund for the monitoring services for which Liberty was charging over $30/month. Despite the devices now being functionally connected, the remote control application continued to disappoint. Inconsistent temperature reads and no ability to control remotely. In January, we came to the house and 2 of the 3 thermostats were completely off. The temperature had fallen well below what is considered a safe range for the winter season. When we called Liberty, they again indicated things were working on their end. We indicated that the device screens were black and they were non-responsive to manual control. At this, we were prompted to replace the batteries. Once replaced, the thermostats became functional again. Ryan insisted he used lithium batteries that should last years, not 4-5 months. This was not the case, as the batteries we removed were not lithium and were seemingly used since they died so quickly. Most disturbing, Liberty - serving in the capacity of an environmental monitoring service - was not alerted to the battery failure. We then requested a refund for the prior months' services charges, which Liberty agreed to reimburse. Weeks went by and we did not receive reimbursement; however, the thermostats continued to be non-responsive in terms of remote control. At this point, we requested a full refund for the products and services from Liberty and returned the equipment. Ryan agreed the service had not been up to par and agreed to refund us the cost of the thermostats, installation and service charges. In addition, we spoke to other contractors who indicated the thermostats should not have been used with our current wiring. Despite numerous email communications and phone calls, the refund was still not processed months later. We called our credit card company, which was able to reverse some of the charges. Liberty then indicated that the refund could not be processed due to the credit card dispute and told us to remove it. Though we did so, and continued communication with Liberty, two more months have passed. Not only have we not received a refund, but communication has become non-productive to the point we are being forced to seek legal representation to compel Liberty to refund us, as promised. Caveat Emptor: Based on our experience, it seems Liberty Security Services functions via two guys who install equipment without discussing limitations with customers, then charge customers a monthly fee to "monitor" said equipment. They answer their cell phones and tell you everything is working fine but nothing is really being monitored. Hopefully we will be able to recoup our costs, though unfortunately it seems we will require legal assistance to do so. As such, I hope this recount of our experience serves as a warning to others before engaging in business with Liberty Security Services.

These guys are the real deal…read more I have my security system managed by a bigger (but not better) competitor in the area and have had nothing but trouble. For months, I was dealing with a zone that was suffering from voltage spikes and producing false alarms left and right. I called my monitoring company to do repairs. First, they sent someone out to replace a contact (even though that was clearly not the issue) and billed me for hours of troubleshooting, then I was stuck calling back in countless times trying to reach the "right" person to resolve my issue - all while having 2 to 3 false alarms per day! Finally, I got fed up and called Catskill Security Systems. I called them and - boom - got a service appointment the very next day. Joe came out and diagnosed my rather complex issue with ease. After an hour or so, my system was back online and not a false alarm since. Thank you Joe!! I can't emphasize enough just how much more knowledgeable and professional this team is compared to other security companies in the area. I have a background in electronics and software engineering, so it's hard to bullshit someone like me when it comes to fixing low voltage circuits. I am always impressed and satisfied by the skills and knowledge that this company has. Going forward, I won't trust my security system with anyone other than Catskill Security Systems!

The worst in the business will never call you back when they say they'll get the part by Tuesday…read morethey they meant Tuesday at two months later will throw out your old parts without asking in my opinion definitely the worst in the business

I'd rather give these people zero stars…read more.. I had a couple of house keys that needed copying...all of the retail places I tried did not have blanks for them, so I figured a "locksmith" would be a better bet. So I walked into the store, presented the keys to the man at the counter, and this was the (somewhat bizarre) conversation: "Hi, do you have blanks to make duplicates of these?" "Yes, they are Medeco, and they'll be $15 each..." "OK, I figured...I'm familiar with them" "...but you'll have to come back for them, I'm too busy right now" "No problem, do you mean today?...I have some other errands to run...can I come back in about an hour maybe-?" "No, today is my "garbage" day...I have to take out the garbage, and a whole bunch of other things (he goes on and on, telling me in detail of all the things he has to do)...maybe tomorrow" "OK then...just tell me what time that they'll be ready and I'll come back" "I can't tell you; like I said, I've got a bunch of things to do here" "Really?...then can you tell me when you can do them?" "I really couldn't tell you...maybe tomorrow" "I can't drive 20 minutes to your shop tomorrow on a 'maybe', can't you give me a definite time when you can do the work?" "Maybe tomorrow...I don't know" (I held out my hand and asked him for the keys back)... I said, "how about 'maybe' never?" ("and I'm not quite sure why you are in business", I thought to myself...) I walked out the door; picked up my phone in the parking lot and called someone else who said they could do the job... Update: Got my keys at KD Locksmiths in Poughkeepsie instead...nearly half the price these guys quoted and they couldn't have been more accommodating.
