Their subs are absolutely delicious. I have to say they are as good as Jersey Mike's subs. Highly recommended! Prices are great as well.

I'm honestly not sure what was more impressive to me; the soups or the sandwiches. I guess I'll start with their namesake, the soup. First time I came here I tried the French onion, since what better 'simple' soup to judge a soup place by, right? Excellent, right out of the gate - utterly bursting with caramelized onion flavor, and just a hint of brandy, I believe? I later came back and tried the Thai coconut and "thanksgiving dinner" soups, with each one seriously cramming a ton of flavor into each bite. Never thought I'd be blown away by soup, of all things, but here we are. The sandwiches are just as good as the soups were, and are priced really fairly for the quality and portion you get. Most of their sandwiches are made on their homemade "pesto bread", which may be the moistest, softest bread I've had in years. If you can't decide, they seem to run specials frequently, where you can get a sandwich & cup of soup. The only 'negative' I can think of is that since sandwiches are made to order, it can take ~10-15 mins to get sandwiches and the like, but this isn't a McDonalds, so I feel like that's expected. Besides, your patience is greatly rewarded. Skip the chain food; there's some really inspired, friendly folks here cranking out some of the best stuff in town. Well worth a visit, imo!

Little deceiving on line said cappuccino But it's from powder in coffee machine, Not from an expresso machine. Only had whole or low fast milk. No half and half. Had soy milk. House blend coffee was okay. Breakfast served on a paper plate. Home fries deeply fried. Omelette- some of the onions inside the omelet was actually cold. I went to throw out my cup and plate. Had cup in left hand and plate on right hand. I took 3 steps and the plate collapsed, My quick reaction was to place the cup under the plate to stabilize the plate. In doing so I spilled some coffee on the floor. After disposing of plate and cup. I went back to spill to clean it. Employee walked past me and didn't even offer to help. As I was leaving. Employee stocking plastic cups behind cashier counter, a cup fell to the floor. The employee picked it up and placed it with the other cups. Through out the cup please! Bathroom toilet needed to be cleaned. I was the first customer Bathroom should be clean and it was not. Do not recommend at all.

For a while now, I have considered going to Flysh, but never got the chance to. Finally, I managed…read moreto get my way to Lakewood to enjoy their unique menu. Brand: 5/5 Flysh is a kosher eatery specializing in burgers and sandwiches in Lakewood. Its on-point brand remains consistent in the physical sign above the establishment, and everywhere else. Eateries that do this do a good job with branding, since it establishes an identity easy to memorize for any new customers. The angular letters with smooth edges, almost resembling the Hebrew alphabet, give Flysh its upbeat identity. Website: 5/5 It offers you a good introduction to Flysh, with its simple color scheme and images of three of its notable menu items. It never overwhelms you as you scroll through the main page. When you go to the delivery menu, using the Toast Tab app, you get to see many menu items with images attached to them. Wait Time: 5/5 I did not wait long for my order. It took me ¾ of the way into my writing before my name was announced, which befitted a complicated dish like my order. Ambiance: 5/5 Well-cleaned and well-scented, the interior of Flysh has a pretty decent dining area, with booths and tables along a comfortable seating row. All of this had enough space between them. The music plays Israeli pop throughout the establishment. The menu offers you a glimpse at the ingredients of each dish, so you know what you are getting yourself into. All of which had a festive selection, including state fair inspiration with the fried Oreos, onion rings, Texas fries, and steak skewers. Food: 5/5 I ordered their signature chicken sandwich, the Lakewooder. It consists of a schnitzel, hot pastrami, Russian dressing, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and red onions. The schnitzel and the pastrami become the main bulk to taste in this sandwich, for both of them had a well-prepared texture. The pickles and red onions give it the right amount of sharpness, while the Russian dressing enriches it with a hearty flavor. The two additional sauces it came with also enhanced the flavor. I can see how the Lakewooder would serve as a representation of both Flysh and Lakewood itself. It has a pleasant flavor that melts away the problems of your day with every bite. Along with every other menu item on their website, the Lakewooder looks enticing to try. It gave me a pleasant mood throughout the day, with no regrets of ever going to Flysh. The schnitzel had a well-prepared form, appropriate for the time it took to wait for it. The staff handled my order with care, placed within a wrapper upon a cardboard basket. Service: 5/5 The staff managed to acclimate me into Flysh with patiently providing me with a physical menu. They managed to get my order right without any problems. The service gave me a good first impression of the establishment. Nothing about the ambiance disrupted my experience with the service, since they clearly care about it and their food. Cost: 4/5 The solid, consistent brand gives Flysh a standalone status in Lakewood, either physically or digitally. The meat in the Lakewooder give Flysh its name, since it is Yiddish for "meat." I also love how signature dishes represent the specific places of the eateries that serve them. The Lakewooder manages to do that. The website does Flysh justice with its menu items having their own images. If I lived in Lakewood, I would definitely become a returning customer based on the menu images alone. As someone who went to 100 eateries within a single year, I can say that high prices are unavoidable, and that some hustle-and-bustle, bumper-to-bumper areas have higher prices. The same is true for the Lakewooder. However, I do not know if I would negotiate through traffic just to arrive again. Considering the good vibes the Lakewooder gave me, I would like to try different menu items in the future. I can find no substantial suggestions I could give to Flysh, since every aspect works in concert with each other. The only suggestion I could think of is investing in a food truck for celebrations and state fairs if they evolve as a business. Rating: 5/5 Stars Rounding between four or five stars, I ultimately give Flysh five stars, since I see so much potential for this establishment. If I ever find myself in Lakewood with someone else, I would absolutely recommend them Flysh for the first time. For a lot of other Gentiles, it serves as an eatery that can defy a lot of stereotypes they may blindly believe. Recommend To... Anyone in Lakewood looking for an upbeat place to hang out.
