Very disappointed in the $250 per hour for labor he charged to repair a leaky outdoor faucet without informing us before he did the work. We made a big mistake by not getting an estimate first and look for additional bids first. Be sure to get one before he proceeds. read more

Very happy with the quality of work! Affordable and efficient, Miguel was on time and finished quickly minimizing the down time in a very busy shop. Will definitely call him again. read more

We can't say enough good things about Miguel. He has been our "go-to" for all our plumbing needs for both scheduled maintenance work and emergency situations. We just had an emergency where our garbage disposal, kitchen sink and an adjacent bathroom sink backed up as a result of a nasty clog in the pipes caused by over 50 years of build-up due to some outdated and poorly constructed/aligned drainage pipes underneath our floors and in our walls. He immediately diagnosed the issue and spent the time necessary (beyond what we all thought would be necessary) to correct the issue. We couldn't be more appreciative of his professionalism and hard work in crunch time. read more

We had a plumbing emergency and Miguel made time at the end of the day to come by and fix the clog. He worked quickly and was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend! read more

Hired him to replace a garbage disposal under my sink. Big mistake. Before you hire him, I recommend asking him how much he will charge to drive to your home! You may be surprised ... read more

Miguel has helped me out in a pinch two times. Once I called when we had a flood outside when a pipe burst in our yard. He had to do some major excavating and was able to fix the pipe and then reassemble the yard. We were very pleased! This weekend our 30 year old (yes 30!) water heater finally gave out. He called me back on the weekend, came, installed a new one and did it on time and in a professional and friendly manner. We will use him again and would definitely recommend him! read more

Friday night at 3:30 a pipe burst outside. I could not shut off the leak and had to call the Marin Municipal Water District to do it. 90 minutes later they showed up. Try getting a plumber on the weekend. Miguel called and came over. The repair proved to be much more complicated than I thought and he had to return on Monday. He came on time, dug up the pipes, corrected the problem and set it up so I could turn off the outside without shutting the inside. The man is excellent and though he doesn't know it is my new go-to plumber. I don't recognize the guy who helped me in the negative reviews about him. read more

Our kitchen drain got clogged over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Miguel was at our house Monday morning at 8:30, cleared the clog, put in a new clean-out under our kitchen sink, and did it all in an hour and a half. He was on time, neat, cleaned up after himself, and was even nice to my dog! Very happy with his services, and will be using him again. read more

Mr. Dominguez offered me a choice: hourly rate of $195 for him and his helper, or an estimate in advance, to install a bathtub and rough-in valve. I opted for the hourly rate. He was here with his helper for under four hours, and when done, handed me an invoice for $1600 for labor and parts and told me to write him a check on the spot. Since I supplied the bathtub and valve, and he did not list any parts that he supplied on his invoice, I questioned why the additional $800 (i.e. less than four hours @ $195 / hour should have been under $800). He was belligerent, acted very offended, and said I was a nice lady until I got the bill. He said he spent time getting parts, time giving me an estimate, etc. and all that should be added to the bill. I gave him a check to get him out of my house and have filed a complaint with the Contractors' Licensing Board. If you hire him, get his estimate in writing, in advance. read more

Miguel from Dominguez Plumbing came to the rescue within hours on a Sunday when our main waterline broke and we were without water. Super great service, high quality repair at very reasonable price. I would highly recommend Dominguez Plumbing for any type of repair, service or remodel. read more

I am a licensed general contractor and have used Dominguez Plumbing on several recent jobs and will continue to use their services in the future. Punctual, courteous, clean, experienced, and professional. read more

Miguel from Dominguez Plumbing is amazing-everytime I have an emergency he arranges to come within hours, whether it's evening or weekend. He is knowledgeable, professional and does the job efficiently. I completely trust him and his work. Highly recommended! read more

Miguel did a good and efficient job of fixing my toilets, but made the leaky faucet worse. When I called twice to ask him to come back and fix it, never heard back. read more

I am a property owner with several properties that need to be maintained in Marin and Sonoma Counties. Each of my tenants has the phone number of Miguel at Dominguez Plumbing and call him direct if any plumbing problem arises. He is extremely efficient and his pricing is most reasonable. I have had the need for plumbers in the past, due to my property ownership, and he is the first plumber I have encountered that is trustworthy, honest, and efficient in many years. My search has finally ended. I cannot recommend him more highly. As always his work is 100% GUARANTEED!! THAT IN ITSELF IS A GODSEND. read more

I feel bad that it has taken me so long to write this review. When our former stellar plumber, Stanley Searles, retired, he referred us to his apprentice, Miguel Dominguez. He has helped us out at least 4 times since then, including twice on emergency notice (the last time with our water heater was an extreme emergency! :-). I strongly disagree with the other reviewer who commented to the effect that he is a great plumber, if you are a man. Miguel may not be what some people would call "warm and fuzzy," but he knows his stuff and I never felt like he was talking down to me (as a woman). Although I know pretty much nothing about plumbing, he has always been kind, courteous and beyond prompt when I have called him. The fact that he always picks up his phone or calls back right away is fantastic. I would (and have) recommended him to my family and friends without hesitation. read more

Miguel is a poor communicator and arrogant when I questioned his choice of fixtures. He had already cut into the bathroom tile and refused to exchange a tacky fixture for another. He was rude to me and unhelpful in attempting to remedy a problem. Beware of bad attitude - will never use him again! read more

Unreliable. He will cancel confirmed appointment when he gets more profitable customer. Vague communication about your plumbing problem and failed to make simple, temporary repair, when others readily saw temporary fix. Mis-states your repair options, so as to benefit himself. read more

Made arrangements for some plumbing work. Couldn't commit to a specific time to come over to scope out the work and was really brusque on the phone. Finally arrived and we agreed on what had to be done - he then told me that his "helpers" were going to come by to do the work. Didn't I hire you? They finished the work and charged an absolutely exorbitant amount for the work and told me at the end that it might have been unnecessary if we had tried a couple of things before calling them. Really not the way to engender goodwill and keep the customer coming back. Disappointing, for sure. Will look elsewhere. read more

Wow- I came home and holes were everywhere in the walls- he did not have permission yet to do the work - so, he throws my wife's clothes on the floor , asks for money, then leaves with two uncapped pipes, and the water turned off - you have been warned read more

We recently used Dominguez Pluming to help us with our kitchen remodel. Miguel is a great guy. He came in, all business, and proceeded to crank out the work we needed to have done. He had creative solutions to seemingly difficult problems. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, punctual, friendly and reasonable. I'd refer him in a second to anybody. read more

Great work. Great service. Had a problem with our kitchen sink drain. Miguel came out the same day and did a great job. It turned out to be bigger than I anticipated, but he gave me all the options and talked each one through. I felt very comfortable with the choices he made. I have no reservations about recommending Dominguez Plumbing. I'll be using them again. read more

We got a notice from Stanley Searles that he was retiring a while ago, and Miguel Dominguez was taking over his business. We've been using Stanley in Mill Valley for a million years. I am very happy to say that we had excellent service from Dominguez Plumbing -- removing our old nightmare dishwasher and installing a new one, and fixing the incorrect plumbing (not done by Stanley) under our kitchen sink and putting in a new kitchen faucet. They were great. I am happy to have them as our new plumbers. read more

In the last three years we've had nothing but good work from Miguel. I unreservedly recommend him and his work. He is friendly, punctual and determined to do a good job. And a good job he does. Our bathroom looks (and works) great and the kitchen too. I have nothing but good things to say about him and I was especially happy to hear that he has taken over Stanley Searles business. His prices are good too . . . having saved us from being overcharged by the National Franchises. read more

Won't use this business again. Didn't complete the work I asked him to do and didn't tell me that he hadn't done it until I called him days later. He had sent an associate to do the work and hadn't seen the fixtures, or the problems, he advised me during that call to discard and replace because there was no way to repair them. read more

First, you might do fine with this plumber if you are a man. Because even if his repairs suck, you could get him to pay attention to you. If you are a woman, prepare to be dismissed, disregarded and diminished. His crew ripped a crack in our counter top, didn't install toilet "guts" so they wouldn't overflow, and didn't even tighten down a connecting pipe they installed so that it wouldn't leak. When called back to witness the destruction, he blamed the house and that it is old. I can't remember literally hating someone so much in recent memory. He was nasty. Seriously. There is so much to this story that I can't bring myself to recount, as it is still painful and dangerously elevates my blood pressure. This is the most telling detail: we sent him a picture of the overflowing toilet tank and until he was standing in front of the tank, he was swearing I was at fault. When he saw that his crew was at fault he refused to take responsibility and blamed the house! read more
