Small mom and pop restaurant giving a friendly homey vibe. Everything was very tasty and hearty.

I finally got to eat at Doma and I realize now why it has taken me so long. They don't take reservations but it is literally so small inside they can only seat 4 tables at a time. Definitely not a great place to go with more than 2 people, but 3 or 4 in a party would be the absolute maximum. The atmosphere is cozy and it gives off real mom and pop vibes. The server was so so sweet and accommodating. My friend and I ordered so much food but she went above and beyond to fit it all on our table and take away our empty dishes as needed to give us more space. I will say though, Korean food is not necessarily the best when it comes to vegan/vegetarian options, so definitely make any dietary restrictions clear before ordering. I did ask to make some alterations and our server seemed happy to accommodate. Even if the menu description doesn't say things have meat in them, it's likely you'll find a random beef dumpling or piece of pork/chicken in your tofu stew anyway. Overall, would recommend! But go at an off day/time to have better chances of getting a table.

Cute small restaurant for Korean food in Sunnyside. We got here a bit early for dinner so we were the only ones there, but by the time we left the indoor portion was full. The service was friendly. I ordered the Bulgogi Kimbap and Cheese Ramen Spicy Rice Cake. Overall, my biggest issue was that the food was a bit blander than I would have liked. It was definitely cheaper than finding comparable food in Koreatown, but still a bit on the pricey end for what it is, in my opinion.

Food 4 japche 4 good. Could use some sesame oil or seeds. galbijjim 3 bland, meat was tough and too lean for galbijjim. Need the strong Korean spices including salt and pepper. Wish it came w the rice or side of Kimchee. Ambiance don't know got delivery fast 5 Service 5 got Uber eats. Pretty fast. Food was ok. Not sure if I would order from here again.

I was craving Korean food while far from home, this spot seemed to be the right place to quell those cravings. The selection of Korean restaurants in Koreatown is probably more plentiful, but queens to Manhattan just for lunch is a bit of a trek, so I decided to stay in the neighborhood. Doma is a very small restaurant, there are 4 tables inside and 2 tables outside, at any given time they could not serve more than 12 customers simultaneously, it is the definition of a hole in the wall. When I walked in there was no one greeting me and the waitress didn't show up until a few minutes later which was a bit strange, I was considering leaving because I thought there was just no wait staff. There was only one person waiting tables and it was hard to get her attention as I was seated outside and she didn't check on me very frequently. I ordered spicy pork rice over a stone pot, and while the flavor was good, I gotta say the serving size was definitely way too small. Combined with only one banchan (cucumber kimchi) and a spicy bean sprout soup, it definitely didn't fill me up.

Just ordered delivery from Doma! I got the combo that includes dubbokki, donkatsu and kimbap. Overall, I think it was tasty. The only thing I didn't like was that the dubbokki had barely any rice cakes! A classic dubbokki has some veggies and mostly rice cake and fish cake. But I would say that it was 70% veggies and 30% rice cake :( The kimbab was yummy and the donkatsu was very good as well. I liked the soup on the side which was spicy bean sprout soup which is classic for a kimbap side. The packaging was really neat and easy to work with and the delivery time was good too!

This is a really small and cozy spot. The staff were so kind, I loved being here. Everything I ate was delicious and filled me up. The iced coffee is a must!!

I had an average review when I came here for the first time. But after that it's become my comfort place. I always go there for some spicy tuna kimbap and sondobu on a rainy day. Never fails to make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. If you're looking for go to I'd say this place is one of the few things that make sunnyside feel like home.

After seeing the traffic heading into inner Queens, we decided to find a Korean restaurant closer to eat. After my friend checked out this restaurant and menu, we decided to eat here. It's a small restaurant with a few tables that seats 2-4 people. When we arrived there it was empty so we picked a table and ordered: Assorted Fried Mandoo (7 pieces) consisted of vegetables, kimchi, meat. Spicy Squid Dupbap -- way too spicy for me though my friend wasn't a fan Bulgogi Bibimbap - this was a big dish -- good for sharing Kimchi Jigae - soft tofu -- this was delicious. Soy Garlic Combo Fried Chicken - thick fried skin is my only issue but it's fried chicken! So good that we came back there week after to try ramen dish without soup. It was good though we didn't understand the cheese on the dish. Definitely a homey place to go to.

I can't believe this place is so close to me and I had never seen it. Well I'm glad I finally got to try it because it's such a gem. I came for lunch and the place isn't big but it's cozy enough to eat in or you can always do take out. I had the beef bulgogi over rice and it was delicious. It was a stir fry of steak, peppers, cabbage, mushrooms and scallions with white rice. The portion was perfect and the flavors were amazing. I did noticed most of the other people at the restaurant were having a soup. My curiosity got the best of me and I asked what it was. It turned out to be bibimbap, this dish looked amazing and I will get it next time.

Had a smattering of apps along with some soju, and it was a good time. Food was good but it was more the authenticity and casual good vibes that boost the rating up. The banchan was solid, nothing exceptional, and for $4 was a bit steep. The chicken was also similar, good but nothing standout. The spicy rice cakes though were really good. Only complaint is that it was pretty lacking on rice cakes - it was half fish cake (which tbh I prefer but maybe not everyone does). I can tell the food quality is good though, so I'd be eager to try more of their signature dishes, such as the Bulgogi. Definitely worth a shot if you're in Astoria craving Korean food!

Turns out I did not need the additional sides of rice and of Kimchi as far as amount of food goes, however I think I liked the flavor and "kick" of the side of Kimchi over the Kimchi that was in the Ban Chan..... The food was pretty good! As I mentioned it came via door dash and the dasher was on a scooter and it was a few miles away so by the time it got to me it was only warm and not hot but that isn't really something the restaurant can do anything about. However I did ask for utensils to be included and I think that is something the restaurant has control over and I didn't get any utensils so there is that....

Do yourself a favor, don't bother to come there! Oh and also they tell you that you can only spend 1.5 there, a limit on your stay. You get the picture. The place is quaint, small enough for 4-person groups or date nights, but not made for large parties. It's the kind of casual spot perfect for a random drop in or a takeout order. The menu range is impressive. The food skews from pocha style pub food to Korean Chinese to traditional classics that shouldn't be missed. There are lunch specials and combinations, along with random misspellings ("bahn mi", "buger" etc.) that have become commonplace with many of these menus. The Korean fried chicken (soy garlic) is an easy go-to as is the bulgolgi burger, which is a pricey guilty pleasure. I appreciate their inclusion of (various!) jajangmyeon and tangsoo yuk, both famous from their Korean Chinese roots. Though the portions could be more substantial, I dig their jiggae lineup of kimchi, seafood, and budaejiggae. They've also got pajun, mansion, ramyun and naengmyeon as well. The variety is definitely in point. Service has been solid during all of my experiences. What arrived was a half-cup of what I can only describe as lightly flavored hot water, bravely tinted to resemble broth. No vegetables, no texture, no effort--just a cloudy liquid that seemed to apologize for its own existence. Then came the main course, which somehow managed to lower expectations even further. The beef--if that's what it was--had the remarkable quality of tasting like absolutely nothing. Not bad, not good... just absent. It's almost impressive how something can be cooked, plated, and served while completely avoiding flavor. The side dishes? Minimal. The sauce? A tiny smear, presumably symbolic. You get a masterclass in how to charge restaurant prices for cafeteria-level disappointment. This isn't just a place I won't return to--I'd actively warn friends to steer clear unless they're curious what culinary emptiness feels like. There are far better ways to spend your money, including not spending it here.
